On numerous occasions, the steering has completely failed to work for approximately a 5 to 10 second interval while driving the vehicle. There is no consistency to when the issue occurs in regards to speed or straight driving versus during a turn. Nissan has checked the car over and found no issue. They took some corrective/preventative measures to clean up electrical contacts in case that was the cause, but the issue has since recurred.
The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Murano. While driving 12 mph, the steering wheel failed to turn left or right and the power steering warning indicator illuminated.
