Exterior Lighting Problems of Nissan Murano

Daytime running lights with no taillights. Led daytime running lights are so bright on newer cars that they light the road enough to drive at night without turning the headlights on. The vehicle is completely invisible and black from behind. The dash lights are on all the time so there is no way for the driver to know they are driving at night with the headlights off. This is true with many auto manufacturers, a simple software update could repair most older vehicles on the road today, make the taillights come on with the daytime running lights, that would take care of the safety issue of drivers who forget to manually turn their headlights on at night. The component of the vehicle is the passenger headlight. The vehicle is available for inspection at any time. I was unable to see at night clearly with the use of only one headlight because the other headlight went out. At the time that the headlight went out I was on a 2 lane rd. With no street lights and it became very dark and difficult to see. The defect has been confirmed at a Nissan dealership on September 23. The dealership found separation of the assembly, causing the condensation in the passenger side headlight causing it not to work. The vehicle has not been inspected by any other entity, besides the certified Nissan dealership. The system warning message appeared only when the headlight went out.

Not sure when it started bc I just purchased this vehicle a month ago. While driving one evening the head lights went off and I had to turn them off and back on. Now a few weeks later and after I've changed the bulbs and made sure the fuse wasn't blown it is doing it alot. I'm not sure if it is a wiring problem or if it is in the on and off switch.

Im seeing water in my left head lamp . And im finding out that a lot off people are having this same problem . . Nissan is aware of this issuse and not doing anything about there issue . Because of the water issuemy bulbs continue to burn out.

Car cuts off while driving. Sometimes it wouldn't move. It would start again then cut off again. No radio, lights or anything. Just dead. It has happened more than once. The latest incident was today 03/11/2018 7:30 pm.

Took vehicle in for repairs for oil leaks, lights, trunk release, vehicle running like a truck, a/c, radio,transmission and camera display in car. Was told trunk release , motor, and transmission problems, and lighting couldn't be duplicated. The same day I picked up my vehicle turn vehicle off close the drivers door and head and rear lights shut off, close my trunk and again head and rear lights went off. Took vehicle to another dealer and showed the service advisor my concerns informed me a dianogstic test would cost $270 if couldn't find anything wrong, and I couldn't be take home because it was over 10 miles, and advisor suggested taking car closer to where I lived. Showed him and told him my concerns: foot pedal switch works sometimes, seat operates sometime, the smell from exhaust has a very bad smell, a/c works sometime while driving and doesn't blow cold at all while idol, and sun visor keep falling down lower causing you to not see. .

I agree with the complaint about the backup camera visibility problem with excessive glare and distortion. My 2006 Murano was somewhat blurry so I was looking forward to my 2013 Murano having a much improved camera similar to my friend's 2013 Honda accord, but to my dismay my camera visibility is even worse than before, especially in the rain when it is needed the most for safety.

I too would like to state how bad the backup camera is. The visibility on it is very poor on dark rainy days and in bright sunlight. Therefore, not good view much of the time!!! I had the occasion to be in a Hyundai rental car and their camera is awesome!!! it was a panoramic view that was clear all the time. It almost looked like it was an hd view. Nissan you need to study Hyundai's camera and make yours over!!! this is my second Murano, 2010 & 2013, and both cameras were bad. Other than this, I love my vehicle and the one before!!!.

I was driving my Nissan Murano going 45mph when suddenly the engine light flashed, the air went out, and the car shut off. I was pressing the gas but it wouldn't do anything and it suddenly shut off. I've been to several shops that can't find a problem so they told me about the recall on the 2003 Nissan Murano. They think it's maybe electrical or engine cooling.

The car was put in reverse and there were no overhead street lamps. Nothing could be seen but a glare from the guide lines on the screen. You can't tell if you are backing up on grass or pavement. You can not tell if there is a mail box, sprinkler, dog or child behind your car at night. The camera works but is blurry during daylight hours.
