Electronic Stability Control problem #1

While driving with cruise control set at 80, I passed a vehicle and as I began to return to the driving lane from the passing lane, the control panel beeped and a warning "front radar unavailable due to obstruction" appeared and the vehicle immediately decelerated drastically and the cruise control was disengaged and disabled. I had to react quickly to avoid a rear collision by accelerating rapidly. There were no vehicles in front of me or on either side. The cruise was disabled for about 4-5 minutes. This happened a total of 12 times in a 5. 5 hour trip. I googled the problem and realized that it was ongoing for many years and involved a recall on other vehicles, but not mine. I took it to a dealer where they indicated a faulty icc module that I am having to replace at a cost of over $1000. (it is being fixed today so I do not have the invoice yet. ) this is dangerous and should be a recall part before someone gets killed or seriously injured.

Electronic Stability Control problem #2

I was driving for the first time in this vehicle on interstate with cruise control activated and the car sensor speed control set to the lowest setting. I changed lanes to pass a car, and after passing, signaled to return back to the lane. The car suddenly beeped and a warning appeared "front radar unavailable due to obstruction" and the car suddenly deactivated the cruise control and braked. There were no vehicles in front or beside me. I floored the accelerator so that the car behind me didn't hit me. It happened several more times, so I turned off the cruise control until I could safely stop and check the manual to see what happened. I googled the warning and immediately saw that this was a common problem. On my return home it happened at least 8 times with no warning in a 3 hour trip. The cruise control remains deactivated for a period of time before you can engage it again.

Electronic Stability Control problem #3

The crash collision sensor is not working. . . The l. E. D. Light comes on and does not allow you to even use cruise control. . It stops working after about 5 minutes of driving. .

Electronic Stability Control problem #4

Replaced alternator and battery car drives short distance and just stops accelerating and than won't start back up unless jumped. Will not drive a mile without going limp and no acceleration.

Electronic Stability Control problem #5

Keep getting a message "unavailable front radar obstruction. " when nothing is blocking it.

Electronic Stability Control problem #6

Front radar system suddenly turns off when in motion, be it on a highway or street. Front radar/safety/front emergency breaking system/cruise control disengages or shuts off everyday/ in motion and during ff; 1. On highway and on cruise control on a random and frequent basis which also disengages the breaking assist/forward collision breaking assist 2. During sharp turns 3. On a highway when another vehicle overtakes or vise versa 4. Inadvertently shuts off from time to time. Made complains already during the 1st and 2nd routine maintenance. during the time of 1st visit/maintenance, customer rep said there system was down and I should get back to them. 2nd visit/maintenance, customer rep said, they have other customers with same problem and replacing the sensor unit does not solve it, and they are currently looking for a resolution, and will keep in touch once they have the solution. 3rd visit, they did some tests and confirmed my complains, however, customer rep said they have no records of my complains and the reason why my front radar sensor is not working is due to the incurred damages on my front bumper ( from on street parking). And customer rep said I have to pay for the repair/replacement of the sensor for $1400. Seen a lot of same complains on forum with the same dilemma.

Electronic Stability Control problem #7

While driving my 2018 Nissan Murano, all of a sudden my vehicle began to DE-accelerate and lost it's ability to accelerate. I immediately attempted to pull onto the median of the highway and realized that my brakes were malfunctunctioning, but by then my vehicle was at such a low speed that the brakes were able to stop my vehicle when the peddle was depressed all the way to the floorboard. Three warning lights were indicated on my warning screen and my rpm indicator was bouncing up and down. I called my dealership (my vechicle, was still under factory warranty) and they directed me to a number to call for towing services. In the meantime, I cranked my car several times, and each time the same warning lights were on, the rpm indicator continued to bounce, and the vehicle's engine was geared up while the vehicle was shaking. After my vehicle was taken to the dealerhip (petro Nissan in hattiesburg,ms) they told me that the only way they could diagnose and repair the malfunction was to "replicate the malfunction in my vehicle". After three days, the dealership said that the malfunction was not replicated so there was nothing the dealership could to repair the malfunction. The dealership also refused to furnish me with a loaner car because the malfunction wasn't diagnosed. So, I am now in a situation where my car remains unsafe to operate, but I cannot in good conscience sell or trade it in and allow someone to operate this dangerous vehicle. I am in a very precarious situation but cannot afford to simply sideline this vehicle and purchase another. Nissan is forcing me to operate a vehicle which is a danger to the occupants of this vehicle and to those others on the streets and highways.

Electronic Stability Control problem #8

While driving on the highway my car was doing 2 rpm even when I pressed my gas pedtal down to the floor it wouldn't rev up which olny cause the car the car to do 10mph onced it reached 15mph it just shut off as I was drving on the highway thank god it was kind of late so I was able to steer my car on the shoulder I waited a good 10 to 15 minutes then it started back up still having rough idle problems the next day took it to the shop and trouble shooting codes popped up regarding both O2 sensors being replaced, I fixed the problem then a month later my car started jerking as I drive took it back to my mechanic the crankshaft sensor went bad so I ended up replacing that senor as well which now my car only reaches a maxium of 55mph I don't drive my car on the highway due to my car still having idle issues and now I notice my car burns oil really fast and my oli light indicator don't pop up on the dash board like it suppose to the only way I know my car needs oil now is when I hear like a fan noise coming from under the hood, Nissan you guys really need to take this car off the market as I have read im not the only driver having this issue with this svu its rasing safety concerns their are 960 complaints!!! I use my car to get back and fourth to work, take my daughter to school and I have no money to buy a new car please fix this problem!!!! its not right to keep this car on the market.

Electronic Stability Control problem #9

When driving in cruise control, the vehicle will suddenly flash a signal stating "front radar obstruction, unavailable" which disengages the braking system while driving in cruise control, . This almost caused a major accident on the highway because the radar failed to alert and automaticall slow car down. This also causes a hazard when driving on regular streets as all of a sudden the signal flashes inexplicably and unpredictably which causes a distraction while driving.

Electronic Stability Control problem #10

Unavailable front radar obstruction error intermittently . Cruise control is disabled.

Electronic Stability Control problem #11

My Murano starts sometimes, and sometimes it won't start at all. Nissan diagnostic was eletrical issues, they changed the ipdm, changed the eletrical dashboard, it worked for 11/2 weeks, and won't start again. This car is less than 50,000 miles. Apparently Nissan can't fix this problem. I'm desperate for help, cause I'm still paying for this car. It's currently in my garage, it has stopped me three times on the road, and twice, in my garage couldn't start.

Electronic Stability Control problem #12

The vehicle will shut off when driving without any warning. It will go into limp mode or completely die when on a major highway. Lights will start flashing and power steering will go out.

Electronic Stability Control problem #13

The car was in motion and all of the sudden shut off while driving and lost ability to stop, steer, and restart. When car came to a stop I tried to start the car and it stall. Car was full of gas and all fluid levels are fine. The car has 20k miles so no mechanical problems exist. This happened in las vegas while the outside temperature was 108. I saw the same issue with other Nissan cars in las vegas per youtube videos. Please help! I am afraid it may do so again and cause an accident. This happened today and after leaving the car parked for 2 hours started working fine.

Electronic Stability Control problem #14

I have a repeated electrical issue with my car. At first, I thought my issue was diagnosed improperly but I was recently on the NHTSA page and found over 20 complaints that expressed the same exact issue I have been having. That issue being the fact that my car, when in motion will completely shut off on me and go into neutral. This will happen without any warning and for me has happened both times on the highway while going 75 mph. Once the car stalls out, the power steering will also go out in about 30 seconds and the engine will completely shut off at that time. Therefore, you have about 30 seconds to roll your car to a safe spot in order to avoid a crash. There is no turning the car off and then back on, as when you try to do so all of the dash lights will come on and the engine will not start back up as the battery is dead or close to it. If you are lucky you can get jumped but the battery becomes so drained that it cannot even hold a charge for a miles worth of power. Both times I have had to have my Murano towed into a shop. The first time this issue occurred I was told I need my battery replaced as it was dead and that was the cause of my engine failure. This sounded strange to me at the time, as the battery that I had was a little less than a year old but I was just wanting to pickup a working car and put this behind me. My car worked properly for 48 days before I again, had the same exact issue occur to me, while again traveling on the highway going 75 mph. This time, there was not adequate space on the highway to pull over and I had to call 911 in order to avoid a crash. Again, I had my car towed and was now told it was an issue with the alternator, which I then had replaced. I am now worried this issue will reoccur as people are stating they have had their alternator replaced 2 and 3 times and are still being put in these scary, engine failure situations.

Electronic Stability Control problem #15

Power steering high pressure hose and pump leakage. There has been numerous complaints for the 2006 and 2007 models. There is leakage and rubbing noise when turning the steering.

Electronic Stability Control problem #16

My car is totally just crap! I've replaced coil packs, alternator, mass air flow sensor, battery, hub assemblies, catalic converter, and a lot more and it still has major problems! I believe it has electrical problems because my radio gets a loud static. It seems like it has a hard time accelerating. Then starts shaking real bad at about 20-40mph, then does fine above 60mph???.

Electronic Stability Control problem #17

While driving on the street or highway abs light comes on then vehicle stalls and rolls at about 2 mph and the car doesn't respond when I press the gas pedal. Usually the abs light turns off then I can drive normally. The last time this happened the car turned off I had to push it out of the street and it wouldn't start up for a couple of hours, then the abs light came on again and then it stalls with no response when pressing the gas pedal. This has happened over 10 times even after replacing the brakes and checking all the sensors, checking the battery and all of the connections and fluids.

Electronic Stability Control problem #18

My 2004 Nissan Murano jerks to the left side as you give it gas and driving. It just jerks on it's own and heads in the direction of anything or object that's on the passenger side. I had a broken motor mount and told that was all it was and by replacing it that it would stop doing the jerking. I changed the motor mount, which needed replaced anyway, but it didn't correct the problem. This is very dangerous as it can put you into another car, ditch, tree, etc. . I've sent this problem in before and I've had no response. This issue needs to be addressed!!! I have 2 small children in my car alot of the time and it's too dangerous to even put their lives, my life, and other cars in the way of this hazard. I could kill multiple innocent people by driving my car. I purchased this car used about a year ago and the problem has only gotten worse. I've checked for recalls and there's not a recall for this previous cause. It does it all the time on any road. Can you please look into this situation for me? it has done this since I purchased the car.

Electronic Stability Control problem #19

Roaring in front wheels when car was in motion and had to replace both struts on the front (Jan 2019). Recently, replaced vacuum sensor due to a light that came to check system (April 2019).

Electronic Stability Control problem #20

I own a 2018 Nissan Murano sl. There is a front senor issue that I have been experiencing ever since I purchased the vehicle, in November 12, 2019. Every time I drive it, without fail. Seemingly random, I get an error message: "front radar obstructed" warning appears on panel. The "collision warning system inactive" icon light comes on. After a few minutes, the warning message goes off; the collision warning system light goes off. This error continues to happen again almost every ten minutes after the initial error message for the duration of my car trip. It doesn't seem to matter if I'm traveling on a highway or country road. . . . Or even at a complete stop. . . . It still happens no matter what, as long as the vehicle is turned on.

Electronic Stability Control problem #21

Takata recall I am not sure why my VIN is not recall as yet. The car accelerates on occasion. I replave all coils now every 2 months because thats how long they are lasting Nissan weston florida has not been able to figure out why the car keeps burning coils out. This feels so dangerous to me on the hoghway I do not know if it is the transmission or computer its very scary.

Electronic Stability Control problem #22

I own a 2018 Nissan Murano sv (VIN 5n1az2mg8jn116303). It has approximately 17,500 miles. The automated emergency braking (aeb) is malfunctioning. I am receiving an error message in the dash display that the aeb disabled even though it has been engaged in the settings menu. No matter how many times I engage the system I keep receiving the error message that the system is disabled. I understand this may be a problem with the radar units. I am sending this message as documentation that there seems to be a problem with these units. Sincerely, david marineau.

Electronic Stability Control problem #23

Radar sensor issue started about 6 weeks, started getting message front radar unavailable, it wound show for a few seconds then go away, in the last two weeks it has increased to 2-3 times a day ( I was driving 5-10 miles daily) yesterday we drove about 40 miles and it happened at least 6 times. I called Nissan where I had made my purchase in March 2018 and the lady advised there had been several of these situations happening. We have a service appointment on oct 2 2018.

Electronic Stability Control problem #24

Jn8az1mw7bw182427 2011 nisan Murano parts aceletor padal sensor it shots off while driving it has happened to me 3 times and the most scary was in the highway.

Electronic Stability Control problem #25

While driving on 95, break pedal went to floor after hitting a bump and breaking hard. After doing research, I learned that the abs module was the cause, and had been included in a recall for the 2009 model year. Noting that the failing part number for the 2009 year was "47660 1sw0a" and found to be identical to the 2011 year. My vehicle has about 97k miles. Why is the recall limited to the 2009 and not including the 2011?.

Electronic Stability Control problem #26

Traveling 20 mph on clean, dry concrete, approaching a yield sign at an intersection. Applied brakes and felt abs pulse in the brakes. Abs pulses stopped and then the brake pedal continued to travel to the floor. I ended up finally coming to a stop in the middle the intersection. The driver who had the right of way managed to avoid hitting my vehicle.

Electronic Stability Control problem #27

Tl-the contact owns a 2012 Nissan Murano. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 mph, the vehicle stalled, the steering and braking ability still worked. No warning indicators illuminated. The contact coasted to the shoulder to a complete stop. The vehicle did not start. The vehicle was towed to the dealer john amato Nissan 5200 n washington road glendale wisconsin 53217, and no diagnostic had been issued yet. The contact also stated that in October 2017 the rear electrical door malfunctioned and did not closed, remained in the open position. The vehicle was repaired for an electrical failure by the dealer cherry hill Nissan 2325 NJ-38, cherry hill, NJ 08002. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 125,600. Bp.

Electronic Stability Control problem #28

My 2003 Nissan Murano stalls out on me while driving, and multiple times just today 06/07/18 while driving at a normal speed limit, vehicle just slows down causing me to put my hazards. I was not able to accelerate. This is a hazard for myself and more important my children who ride in this vehicle with me. My VIN# does not have a recall, but reading other consumer's comments there is a major issue. It's my hope that this can be recalled so that we the consumer's will have a piece of mind and be safe while driving on the roads.

Electronic Stability Control problem #29

In the past 2 weeks while driving my car, it randomly, completely shuts off. I have no electrical anything. My car will start right back up once I stop and turn the key. This happens several times anytime I try driving (just in the past couple of weeks) on the highway 70-80 mph or just down the street 25-40 mph and has also happened twice when I am making a turn! it is scary when I lose the ability to steer my vehicle.

Electronic Stability Control problem #30

My Nissan Murano 2009 died as I was driving on expressway, very scary , everything just stopped , says battery and alternator , replace twice because it happened yet again within a cpl of days, so now the brake light and battery light are on , on my dashboard and 3 weeks without my car and no idea ! I have been on numerous forums with no solution but yet the same complaint , is Nissan going to fix this ,.

Electronic Stability Control problem #31

I was driving in the fast lane on the freeway, and for no apparent reason, the car shut down, then immediately started up again. I was fearful that I was going to get hit from behind, so immediately went to the slow lane. I drove the car to and from my destination with no further incident, but fear it might happen again.

Electronic Stability Control problem #32

While driving my kids to school this morning, I lost all acceleration in the middle of a busy road unable to move, drive anything. I turned the car on and off to try to move the car from the middle of the road, I could only reverse. When in drive I its as if it were in neutral. The battery, brake light and check engine light all came on at once. They were not on prior to this happening. Clearly this is some sort of malfunction with in Nissan. I read multiple people having the same issues as me and I plan to make this known. If I had been on the highway when this happened with my kids in the car we would all be dead this is a serious issues and it needs to be addressed clearly there is some sort of and issues where Nissan has a recall or something.

Electronic Stability Control problem #33

Car has a broken suspension and stabilization bar, car in previous accident not disclosed to buyer. Car should not be on road as it is very unsafe tires are spreading in a triangular dimension due to previous damage.

Electronic Stability Control problem #34

Battery stoppd charging, vehichle speed is limited, engine stops running without warning almost causing 2 accidents already! once on the highway, if there hadn't been a place to pull over id got slammed from behind causing a pile up, once turning into mcdonalds with on coming traffic having to stop at about 30 mph because it died without warning.

Electronic Stability Control problem #35

Tl-the contact owns a 2017 Nissan Murano. The contact stated that while pulling off, the wheels was spinning a little and the electronic stability control malfunctioned causing the vehicle to fail to accelerate for an extended period of time. The contact mentioned that the brake pedal needed to be depressed in order for the vehicle to operate. The vehicle was taken to dave smith Nissan 6901 e sprague Ave, spokane valley, wa 99212v (509) 309-8911 where they informed the contact that the vehicle was made to operate as is. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provide the contact a case number:37021429. The approximate failure mileage was 58,000. Ak.

Electronic Stability Control problem #36

On busy fast California freeway when traffic slowed, so did I, then I went to speed up to keep up with traffic and my car would not move. I was pressing accelerator and my car literally was not moving! my check service engine light came on (no warning, just now) I was so scared! I put my hazards on, and I had to drive a few miles going 25 mph, and making my way across lanes to get off the freeway to safety. Once off freeway I pulled over and turned car off. When assistance arrived my Nissan Murano started fine and appeared ok. I drove to hotel and as I was in the middle of a busy intersection making a left turn, I pressed the accelerator and my car did not move! it then stalled and by now the light turned red and I was sitting in the middle of the intersection! I started my car and it zoomed pretty quick. Problem is, I cannot drive a car I cannot trust. This is a death trap waiting to happen. I noticed so many others have experienced this, so I wonder why this vehicle was never recalled for this?? I have maintained my Murano very good, I have always backed and believed in Nissan- now I wonder. On xma eve it did this, as I went to proceed on a green light. It was night, raining, windy and my car finally died. I put on hazards, but I was in dangerous location- in middle of road. I got out of my car and waited for help.

Electronic Stability Control problem #37

My car was running sluggish and low power when turned on lights, when tested battery it was fine but voltage low so I guess its not charging battery. Doesnt start alot of times. Engine runs hot quick, put new battery did same and one day the battery and brake light stayed on and then while driving it just stopped like I was giving it gas but car wasnt moving. Now it wont start at all. There may be a tiny oil leak but dont know from where and it drives rough but they say my shocks and struts and suspension and everything is ok.

Electronic Stability Control problem #38

I'd like to start by saying this is my 3rd or 4th complaint pertaining to the same issue and I have yet to get a response. Customers have the option to list their complaints, however, I believe this is a serious matter not to mention safety issue. There's no rhyme or reason this matter should be over looked by no means. Once again as I am driving with my kids this is my biggest concern with Nissan, traffic is flowing but have stop and go moments, so as I was at a stop moment, then proceeded to go, I pressed on the accelerator as I normally do, pressed all the way down, nothing, I repeat nothing happened my car didn't move at all, instead it loss power, the rpms increased that's about all. Mind you I'm on the expressway I-55 with majority of the vehicles are semi-trucks this is very frightening, not knowing when this will occur. Me and my kids life are at stake each and every time we're in this vehicle. No one has reached out to me and other family's I'm sure, why? I don't know. This is a safety issue, no indication that loss of power is about to happen, and or will happen. I saved up and spent my hard earned money buying this vehicle because I heard that the Nissan name/brand was good, reliable, etc. Not sure if I believe that now after the many issues and concerns I have with my Nissan Murano. How long does it take to make a decision that obviously there need to be a recall on the powertrain due to cvt failure. I'm very disappointed in the decision I made to purchase this vehicle. In addition, to that I disappointed in the lack of concern from the maker of this vehicle. I'm hoping that this matter gets resolved soon before lives are lost. No fatalities should come of this if the issue is addressed now.

Electronic Stability Control problem #39

While driving in rush hour traffic mind u a big truck was behind me traffic is stop and go, as I press down on the accelerator there was no movement from my vehicle, like it loss power, I though maybe the gear was changed, but then it dawned on me that this has happened to me not once or twice, but it's beginning to happen more frequently this is not normal. I confirmed that the gear was still in drive, as I pressed down on the accelerator my vehicle jerked as it proceeded to take off (as if it was in turbo boost), I could have hit someone else's car (good thing I didn't). This is a very serious matter many, many lives are at stake. I'm disappointed that this matter have not raised corporate eyes at Nissan . The reason for this page is for consumers to report complaints but it seems as if I'm not getting the answering that's needed to fix this serious issue and nor are the other owners who have listed their complaints. This issue should not be addressed after people have lost their lives by having/causing accidents due to loss of power. This is scary for myself and my family. I get nervous when driving on the highway and or the expressway not knowing when this faulty power train issue will happen. Good thing that big truck didn't run into the back of me that would have been deadly. No one should have to jeopardize their lives and others. Nissan should correct this problem immediately. How and when is it determined on what complaint get addressed. Disappointed customer. Also, the actuators on my passenger side both front and back does not work they have to be locked manually along with the hatch it doesn't seem to lock either. The actuators should not go out and should be replaced.

Electronic Stability Control problem #40

Car hesitates when accelerating causing a danger when car does not go as expected when pulling into traffic. It also jerks and shudders at lower speeds, the car shakes somewhat violently and will stop if you floor the gas pedal. Bought the car brand new from dealer and have brought in for the issue to be told the computer doesn't see a problem. I drive the car daily I know there is an issue and it is dangerous to drive when it chooses not to go when accelerating. It has been a problem since I bought the car and have complained to the dealership numerous times.

Electronic Stability Control problem #41

Nissan Murano complaint, I purchased a 2016 Nissan Murano in may of 2016 and since I have owned it I have been having problems with the traction control system bogging down acceleration if I am coming off a curb cut or going over a pot hole or irregularities in the road. I live off a 55 mph road where I am required to get into the left lane to make a turn in about a 1/3rd of a mile after making a right on highway and the engine boggs down and will not accelerate after going over road irregularities putting me in constant danger every day leaving for work. The same problem has happened making a left turn across traffic if a pot hole is present and I have the same problem coming out of stores or shopping centers due to curb cuts. The car just will not accelerate and takes over 16 seconds to accelerate from 0-60 mph leaving me with many cars coming down on my back at 55 mph which is very scary and places me in danger almost every day. Making lefts at large intersections can also be very scary, because I never know if I will be t-boned if there is irregularity in the intersection. The problem occurs from a dead stop with the engine hot or cold. I did a test drive with a Nissan technician and he was able to see the problem first hand, but says that the car is supposed to do that due to the traction control system. We then turned the system off and the same problem happened again. This is a very scary defect that puts my life in danger almost every day. I have lived in the same development for 15 years and never had this problem with any other car that I owned, if this defect is inherent in this vehicle, the car should be recalled. Nissan has pretty much washed their hands of the situation and I don¿t know where to turn. Thank you.

Electronic Stability Control problem #42

My Nissan Murano seat belt air bag light flashes constantly when I snap my seat belt this is while the vehical is in motion. While at Nissan dealership for oil change I was told by technician that there is no horn sound on the vehical. When I tapped the horn it does not work at all when the car is not is in motion or stationary.

Electronic Stability Control problem #43

My Murano loses power while stopped or upon acceleration from a stopped position. All my vehicle lights inside and out flicker and flash. Theses lights include dome, dash, radio, outside lights headlights, park lights, brake lights. I've taken it to the dealer for diagnostic and they always say it's the battery. I've had 5 Nissan batteries in 5 years. I've had the alternator replaced with no relief for the electrical problems.

Electronic Stability Control problem #44

The date on this form could have been the first date not really sure, the most recent was one of the frightening times the vehicle stopped right in the middle of the street about (4) four times. This was traumatizing we could have been hit by several vehicles. The vehicle started jerking then all of a sudden stopped right in the middle of the street. One time reported to NHTSA, we were in the vehicle driving along and all of a sudden without a warning the vehicle stopped. No jerking , no warning light, nothing. The vehicle shut off we were in danger and my grand daughter was in the vehicle with us she was very scared this was traumatizing for us all. If this is not all already this should be on the recall list. If this is not something that can be repaired, or replaced. At the cost and expense of the maker or NHTSA I feel my vehicle should be replaced.

Electronic Stability Control problem #45

Brakes suddenly became soft during a normal drive. Braking effectiveness severly reduced stopping distance became noticeably extended even at speeds less than 5mph. I had to depress pedal all the way for car to begin to slow. There were no warning lights . Car was taken to Nissan service center 75k service + brakes fluid flush performed . Problem returned 1 week later. Researched online and found similar cases. Some mentioned abs. I performed the following actions to verify. With car powered off brakes were ok pedal did not touch the floor when fully depressed. Immediately after powering car brakes became extremely soft again pedal was able to touch the floor. Turned off car disconnected battery and removed abs fuse for 10 min. Brakes still ok. Connected battery brakes still ok. Powered on car brakes still ok . Abs and tire warning lights were on. 1 mile test drive and brakes were still ok. Powered off car reinserted abs fuse . Brakes were ok after powering on car. All abs and tire warning lights went away . ( original owner/ 0 accidents/ all scheduled maintenance performed by Nissan ).

Electronic Stability Control problem #46

My concerns are there any recalls including safety on my 2005 Murano the vehicles check engine light, week later at various times while in park and running the car will shut off the air bag warning icon, at various times the vehicle would slow while driving and not respond to gas pedal also the abs warning light appeared at times the windows roll down on thier own while vechile is off I have not taken the vehicle for repairs.

Electronic Stability Control problem #47

After starting from a cold start (parked overnight) I noticed the brake pedal was soft and went almost to the floor. There was no prior sign of brake failure and the car still could stop, just not as quickly or firmly as normal. Car was taken to a repair shop who diagnosed a leaking master cylinder but there was no brake failure warning light. After the shop replaced the master cylinder and bleed the system they found another leak in the abs controller/ecu module. An internal leak, and no repair is possible. The shop says they have spoken to Nissan and looked online but find no information about other similar braking system failures, no TSB's, no recalls. I find it very disturbing that two critical brake parts could both be leaking and failing, and the car showed no brake warning lights, no abs warning lights, no indication of any problem while the brakes had obviously already failed. This is a fairly low mileage single-owner vehicle which has not been in any accidents and has been maintained properly. The failed parts (brake master and abs controller/ecu are being held available for inspection.

Vehicle shut off while backing out of a parking space the first time, I did not think much of it. Two days layer the vehicle shut down while I was driving 50+ miles an hour. Would not crank back up until I pressed the gas pedal really hard as I cranked it. ## VIN failed ## Nissan Murano 2003 ##.

Electronic Stability Control problem #50

Abs module failure. Needs replacement. In case of emergency, abs,vdc and stability control are not going to control the vehicle. Also the tires lights warning and the brakes are on.

Electronic Stability Control problem #51

Start having problems with my 2003 Nissan Murano around 80,000 miles. The car started to skip while running and soon after, the car seems to have no power. Sometime after driving it for 20 mins or more mostly coming off the highway, I would experience no power when accelerate". After turning, the car off and allow it to sit for 10 mins. The problem did not repeat until again driving over 20 mins and repeat as above. My service engine soon light came on shortly afterwards. I had my local autozone to run a diags test and two codes came up p0011"camshaft position bank 1 & p0021 camshaft position bank 2. I took the car to Nissan dealership and they too ran a diags test and both codes were present for failed intake timing sensors. They said the cars oil pressure was low and recommended a change. Nissan replaced both camshaft censors on 1/08/09. Total repairs & labor was $430. 00 on 06/01/09 again the car was repeating the same problems. I took the car back to the same Nissan dealership and they ran another diags test. Again, codes p0011 & p0021 were present. The service tech explains the reason for the code was due to insufficient oil changes. Also, explain the car needs the 90000 mile service treatments. They performed the 27-point inspection "all" changed air filter, battery service lube locks, oil & filter change rotate tires. Total repairs and labor $334. 99. When I pick the car up, the car still did not have the power it normally had before all the problems, however the engine check light was off and the tech told me to drive it and bring it back if problem occur. My total repairs this time $334. 99. The car continue to miss & skip and would continue to have a loss of power and would delay when accelerating after driving more than 20 mins in 80 degree temp. I am still having problems; my vehicle should be part of the 03v455000 recall circuit board for the crank position sensors.
