My vehicle received a Nissan recall repair for a fuel pump/fuel tank temperature (ftt) sensor harness defect that can short-circuit and blow the fuel pump fuse, causing a stall. About three weeks and 350 miles after that repair, the engine stalled unexpectedly while driving on a public road, creating a crash risk. An independent shop diagnosed fuel pump fuse blown, ftt sensor fault code present, no fuel pump activity on key-on-engine-off test. Replacing the fuse got it running, but the fault code stayed pending, meaning the underlying issue wasn't fully resolved. This is the exact failure mode the recall was meant to prevent, occurring right after the recall repair — suggesting the repair was done incorrectly or not fully completed. No warning lights appeared beforehand. The dealership was shown this diagnosis but has not inspected or repaired the vehicle since, only asking that it be driven in. The blown fuse and vehicle are available for inspection, and I have written documentation from both the independent shop and the dealership's recall repair order.
