I understand there is a safety recall on other Nissan Nv200's with regard to the ignition system. Where my van is not specifically listed in the recall, I have issues with the ignition switch turning and have to juggle it to get it into the start position. It does not instill confidence that I may not have a similar issue with my vehicl eand maybe it was missed in the recall batch? I called my local Nissan service department and they said they would need a half to full day to diagnose it and it would cost me $200. Are there then , good will considerations for getting this taken care of or included in the recall? I do not want to have a problem in the future but don't think I should have to pay to have it checked out and really don't have the extra money. It is detrimental as well to have a recall notice pop up on kelly blue book when it is used by dealerships and others to determine value of the vehicle, even if this particular VIN was not included. This has been an ongoing issue with my van since I purchased it in March.

The Nissan nv 200 heaters stop working. We now have 3 nv 200's (2 model year 2014 and 1 model year 2020) with non-working heaters. The blower works, but only blows cool air. When the windshields fog up, they cannot be defrosted. This has become a significant safety issue being that these vehicles are driven in cleveland, OH. Repair facilities have not been able to fix the problem.

2015 Nissan Nv200 sv 78,000 miles. Driver had moved vehicle into garage, parked vehicle with a slight angle to the steering. Driver could not remember if vehicle was running or key in ignition in 'on' position. Weather stripping on driver's door was loose and preventing door from latching correctly so that more force than usual was required to close and latch door. Door was closed with vigor and this caused airbag to deploy. Commercial vehicle with components installed that could freeze. Nissan was not interested in inspecting the vehicle within a timely manner so vehicle was towed to body shop for inspection by independent 3rd party and get repairs done. Nissan was not interested in 3rd party data and no longer wanted to be associated with vehicle. Case # 37566505.

I was driving in yorktown, NY 10598 and as I was making a right turn at the corner of hallocks mill rd. On to route 202, my Nissan Nv200 van just stopped. There was no warning, no flashing lights, no sound, nothing to indicate there was a problem with the vehicle. Up until this point, the van was driving perfectly as it had been doing since I got it. I had no reason to suspect that it would just come to a dead halt and the engine would die. Luckily there was not much traffic and cars were not going fast. However, if this had happened on a main road, especially one of the highways that I travel on, like rte. 84, the major deegan, the taconic, etc. I would have been killed. Imagine pulling out into traffic with trucks barreling down at you and your car just stops! imagine if I had my family in the van in such circumstances. This is simply unacceptable and I don't feel I can safely drive this vehicle again.
