Tl the contact owns a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact's vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number: 11v244000 (structure) and repaired in 2015. While the contact's daughter was driving at a very low speed, she attempted to make a u-turn and the steering column fractured. As a result, the vehicle drove forward and ran into a curb. The driver was able to reverse the vehicle and align the vehicle against the curb, although the steering failed. The vehicle was left at the scene. Kline Nissan (3090 hwy 61 n, maplewood, mn 55109, (877) 284-5230) was contacted and stated that the recall repair was already performed. The manufacturer was notified of the recurring failure and referred the contact back to the dealer. The failure mileage was unknown.
