1 Front Suspension Control Arm problem

Failure Date: 12/19/2019

Tl- the contact owns a 2002 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated while driving 40 mph, when the front passenger side tire started to shake forcefully and he was unable to control the vehicle. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated he parked the vehicle on the side of the road. The contact stated he waited 30 minute before restarting the ignition and was able to drive 20 mph to his residence. The vehicle was taken to independent mechanic and was informed to reweld the frame before replacing the lower control arm on the passenger side. A dealer had not been aware of the failure. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired as of yet. The manufacturer had been informed of failure and filed a complaint. The failure mileage was 118,000. Dp.

2 Front Suspension Control Arm problem

Failure Date: 11/08/2018

The area where the control arms attached to the frame/body rusted out making the the car unsafe ti be on thr road. The mechanic advised that other areas of the unibody were also rusting away and advised junking the car.
