Bought vehicle I’m second owner it was sold as is from a dealership with airbag lights on after a certain amount miles check engine light came on said I had e -regular voltage to fuel injectors 1 gear started slipping then loss of power when accelerating next revolutionary trans-sensor went and now when I start the vehicle the a/t ecu fuse keeps blowing out and the radiator coolant has transmission fluid mixing into it.
Contamination from the radiator mixed with the transmission cooler. The car is now inoperable due to this design flaw. This causes the transmission to be extremely sluggish and unresponsive when run, oftentimes the engine won't start or crank due to a blown fuse related to this issue. The slow acceleration causes safety issues when pulling out into traffic. The vehicle was inspected by a licensed illinois auto rebuilder. The four-wheel-drive indicator is stuck to on although the vehicle is in two-wheel drive and service engine light appeared.
I was driving in the freeway and the engine was making a wierd noise and the engine seemed to be losing power and skipping gears, I pulled over and there was a mixture of of water and something else, looked like milk comming out the radar area my car only has 153000 miles.
The contact owns a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that upon placing her vehicle into reverse, the vehicle shut-off without warning. The vehicle started rolling backwards. The contact and her son exited the vehicle, to manually stop the vehicle from rolling back and hitting a building. The contact then had the vehicle towed to an independent mechanic, where the mechanic replaced the engine coil block however, the vehicle started to overheat at start-up. The contact stated while driving at undisclosed speeds, there was white smoke coming from the engine while the temperature gauge showed a high engine temperature. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed her that the warranty had expired. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 93,500.
Experiencing jerking at or above 40 mph, changed transmission fluid, fluid was contaminated appeared pink and milky at draining, hard shifting.
When driving and you go to stop and move your foot from the gas to the brake when you push the brake the veh tries to accelerate and you have o always pay attention or could possibly run into the back of another veh. It also happens numerous times daily depending on how much you drive it.
Our 2008 Pathfinder lost all power in the middle of the freeway, causing others cars to swerve to miss hitting us. After about 30 seconds we were able to regain a little bit of speed ( about 30 mph) to be able to pull off the freeway and head down an exit ramp. This experience was very scary for my family and I with two young kids in the back seat, with cars passing us at speeds upward of 70 mph. Even on the way home that night, the SUV would start to drive at normal speed, then suddenly come to almost a complete stop at about 5 mph.
I was driving around 35 to 40mph when I felt a vibration under vehicle backed off gas pedal went away after that it would come back now and then around the same speed just like you where driving on a rumble strip. Took to Nissan for diagnosis told me vehicle shifted erratically and found anti freeze in transmission, they gave a quote of more than $7,000 to fix. When I asked what could cause this they said a bushing could have been worn to let coolant into tranny, now they get info on problems that occur I just got a phony answer. Any way Nissan dosen't give their customers heads up on notifications of problems and complaints all get lost or buried . Nice support from Nissan. No more business from me. . . . . . . . 103,345miles on Pathfinder 2008 all happened on a flat smooth road driving straight.

This is. My 2nd time replacing it the oil is mixing with the anti freeze because the radiator has a hole in it another recall problem for Nissan.
