The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated the lift gates for the rear of the vehicle failed to latch correctly due to the release button fractured inwardly. This makes the release button to fail to respond appropriately when activated. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer that the release button had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, however, the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 63,000.
