2008-13 Nissan Rogue/2014 Rogue select (s35) driver’s kick panel harness connector inspection voluntary safety recall campaign reference: r1421 I spoke with Nissan and the recall does not cover my VIN number however I had previously owned a 2015 Nissan altima and experienced the same issue. My car will be serviced on 2/24/26 with a Nissan dealership in hampton, va for repairs related to this issue. My daughter drives the car while she is away at college. The issue began a few weeks ago when snow and rain occurred and now the bluetooth is going out and now the check engine light appears. I'm pretty certain this VIN should be included in the recall previously issued. The car maybe out of warranty but this appears to be a manufacturer related problem. I'm attaching current video.
Passenger side air bag inoperable, have been told it was sensor in seat.
The driver seat would not come back up after I used the recline button. There is no sound when I push the button to raise seat back up from the reclined position. The side airbags on driver seat back are not able to protect me if there is an accident. I do not use the recline function often so I don't have a history if when it stopped functioning.
Wednesday August 7, 2019, I parked my car in a parking lot in full sun at 11:30 a. M. When I came back out to my car and got in, I noticed smoke coming up from what looked to be from the floor on the front passenger side. I'm not sure what I used to extinguish it as I was on emergency mode. I do remember that I made sure it wasn't flammable. The sun was coming through the front windshield. It appears that the sun was reflecting light from a mirror at the front of the bottom seat. It was the part that would be at a passenger's lower legs. There was a black smoking oval hole that was deep enough that it penetrated not only the leather but through the foam. I didn't see a flame. This occurred in nashville, TN. Thanks sharon hoover.
My side-seat passenger airbag sensor - located in the passenger side seat - keeps turning off. This sensor has been recalled for 2013 models. Was told by dealership that its not under warranty - or recalled for 2012 - and the cost is extremely prohibitive and exorbitant since it cannot be fixed unless you purchase a new seat for $2,600. 00. This sets up for an extremely dangerous situation if involved in an accident. The vehicle only has 44,000 miles and there have been thousands of complaints filed for the same make and model of vehicle.
