Both front door actuators have failed. Can not open the front passenger side door at all and the front driver side door will only open from the inside. My passenger had to exit the vehicle through the front passenger side window when the door malfunctioned in January. Then about 2 weeks later we could no longer open the front driver's side door from the outside. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. My front seat passenger was trapped in the car. Luckily the window was able to roll down and my passenger was limber enough to crawl out through the window.
I was in a head on collision going 55-60mph with no airbags deployed. Car started a dripping fire. I have seatbelt lacerations starting from collarbone/neck area cross my chest, breast and right side ribs including deep bruising on lower abdomen and pelvic area. Police would not let me in my car bc air bags could potentially go off at any time but car made it to the tow-yard still without airbags going off. No warning or recalls sent to me since I bought the car in may of 2022.
During a rear end accident on the highway when someone slammed on their brakes, I hit them at around 40 mph and slamming on my brakes to prevent it and the airbags did not deploy. The light was on the dashboard after the accident as if they did the deploy, the seatbelt blew out and will no longer retract. The front frame of the vehicle bent inwards at a 90 degrees angle puncturing the ac compressor, though the bumper has minimal damage. Ma state troopers noted that damage and allowed me to drive off since "the vehicle is not over heating or leaking", a body shop then said my car is totaled. My insurance company is investigating why/how the frame obtained extensive damage though the outer body is not as damaged. The vehicle has been parked since the accident and is available for inspection. My safety was at risk with a significant crash and the airbags not deploying, the seatbelt injured me, I am under medical treatment for injuries obtained after this accident. I have a police report, I have an insurance claim, I believe this needs to be further investigated. My vehicle was bought used in 2017 from a Nissan dealership, it has never been in an accident with me as the owner, but my insurance company found an unreported accident from 2014 which could relate to the airbags not deploying and the frame bending so significantly from a rear end accident.
#1 I have been completely affected by the known defect in the Nissan transmissions with the first instance being my on the interstate, 4 hours from home with my child only, and we lost power while driving the interstate. The losing power issue has happened multiple times over the last 5 years and all that I can find online is that Nissan is aware and owners can buy something and have it added to the transmission. . . . If we purchased the vehicle I think Nissan should at least be responsible for the issues with something that they are aware is an issue with the products they sell. I am now putting oil in the car every few weeks because of a leak that there is no explanation of how it happened and will cost a fortune to fix; and most recently I came out of work and when I went to get in my car the handle came off in my hand. I've researched and apparently this too is an issue with Nissan Rogues. . . . . . Everytime I search for a recall there is nothing for the 2013 Rogue but there are for the ones years prior and after??? whoever thinks that the perfect line came out in 2013 needs reevaluate their information!!!!.
I was driving my car to appointment up a hill and the transmission completely gave out, additionally, since I bought it, it has consistently had problems accelerating, and getting above 45mph. The problem cannot be pinpointed.
I have a 2013 Nissan Rogue that is heavily rusted underneath, which makes driving unsafe. Additionally, both the catalytic converter and the transmission are in poor condition. I think japan should ban Nissan from making more bad cars like this car.
At 156k I'm getting told I have to replace my slipping transmission. I just recently had to replace my lower control arms. Diagnosed to replace my cv axle. Also, last year I had to pay to have my seat belts fixed since the rear passenger belts would not buckle leaving serious safety risks for my children.
Every time you drive on the highway going 70 miles per hour the hood of the car moves and makes noise as if it where to pop open.
Driver's door will not unlock at all. It will not unlock manually with the key nor will it unlock by pressing the inside unlock button on drivers door. All other doors will unlock. If involved in accident or need emergency assistance I will be trapped inside the vehicle.
Car was stationary in our driveway at home. Passenger door front would not unlock nor open with the key fob. Tried to unlock it physically but it would not open. Got inside and door still would not unlock nor open. The handle of the door would not move into side door outside.
The 2013 Nissan Rogue was stationary in a parking lot and caught on fire a few minutes after the engine was turned off. The vehicle only had about 77,000 miles on it when this happened. The vehicle was looked at by an engineering company and suggested that the fire was caused in the engine area.
The paint is pealing everywhere.
I purchased my car in 2016 which was previously a lease. When I got the car I noticed a whirring sound as I applied the gas and a low pull as it coasted downhill. Several different people I asked about this stated it was normal. I've never driven or owned a Nissan before and I just thought it was the way the car drives. A couple of months ago, after driving to get my son from college, the car barely went above 60 mph as I pressed the gas. I pulled over, thought it was too hot or maybe a bad battery (had it tested, still good) or maybe the fuel injector. I stopped and got some fuel injector cleaner and let my car rest for a bit before heading 2 hours back home. It never happened again until this past Friday. Had the codes read when it became sluggish and was given p1778 code. Ultimately, myself, my daughter and my 2 foster daughters got stuck in traffic b/c my car barely moved at all during stop and go traffic. I had it towed and when the mechanic checked it that Monday morning he confirmed that my transmission was bad and to take it back to the dealer, that Nissan has had several problems w/ it and it should be under an extended warranty, which repairs may otherwise run b/w $3000. 00-$4000. 00. Upon my research, contact w/ Nissan consumer affairs and the dealer I've come to understand that my year (2013 Nissan Rogue) is not covered under the extended warranty and this appears to be a burden and danger to consumers that Nissan has been aware of at least since 2003 yet has not been vigilant enough to fix. I also see where there have been and currently are class action law suits against Nissan regarding the cvt transmissions. I have no alternative means of transportation. Please help!!!.
Lift gate rusted around the emblems and tail lights within one year - they replaced it. Less than 8 months later it started rusting again - they replaced it. Is now rusting again and they will not do anything. Blows heat through the vents when all controls are off and temperature is set to the coolest setting. Latest issue is I was driving my kids home at night and when I tried to accelerate from a stop light the vehicle only moved slowly at the rpm went above 4,000 almost causing me to get rear ended. Eventually I could get to 50 mph but anything over that and the rpm's would race over 4,000. Took it to the dealership and am being told the transmission is shot and it will cost $3,500 and I only have 95,000 miles on it!.
The transmission overheats and I experience reduced power on acceleration or driving. The paint on the whole body of the car is pealing off.
2013 Nissan Rogue caught on fire less than 10 minutes after it was parked in driveway, after a short trip running errands. Vehicle was not running when fire began. Initially, smoke began to escape from under hood then quickly caught on fire. Entire front end of vehicle burned before fire was extinguished.
I was visiting family in arizona with my daughter (who is 100% handicap). My mother was in the back seat with my daughter. My father in the front passenger seat with me. Child locks on and all doors locked as the car was in motion, stopped at a red light, got a green light to turn left, was making the turn and my daughter's door (right rear passenger door) flew open. My mother had to grab my daughter. I stopped in the middle of the road in phoenix, father jumped out of the vehicle, checked my daughter and the door and the child lock was still on. I called Nissan and have an appointment but of course they have told me that they have never heard of this situation but to bring it in.
The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that the front driver's and front passenger¿s side doors unlock and lock without warning. The contact stated that the rear hatch failed to unlock. The contact mentioned that the failures progressed during rain weather. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated the vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number: 15v032000 (electrical system) and that if corrosion was found on the driver side floor near the harness connector that it could be causing the failure for the locks/linkages. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 38,900.
On Saturday, may 16th heading on the 91 east by bellflower, CA. Frwy I was driving and when a sudden stop I found it hard to make a stop because the brake felt as if it sunk in. I unfortunately hit a truck in front of me. The vehicle did not receive any damage but my Nissan 2013 Rogue did. I took pictures to show the damage. At the time of the accident, I was very concerned because the air bags did not deploy. The vehicle did receive a front impact but the air bags had no reaction to the hit. At the time of the accident I rode with my 3 children ages, 18, 15 and 11 and my fiancé. Prior to this happening I took the vehicle to get it's maintenance and after this happening I was sure that the vehicle felt very different. It was almost as if it would accelerate and the brakes kept sinking in with having a delay in making a full stop. The vehicle is currently in a body shop through my insurance and I do not recall the mileage? this is very concerning and has been ever since receiving the recall letter regarding the possible electrical problem that might set a fire. Please advise/help. Thank you!.
The interior handle on the rear passenger door does not allow the door to be opened; the door can only be opened from the outside handle. There is a component on the inside (hidden when looking at the door handle) that is broken. This is a safety issue in an emergency, as the backseat passenger must rely on someone to open their door in order to exit the car. The handle opened until about a year of use; we were in park, the engine was off, and we realized the rear door couldn't be opened from the interior. Ever since, this door can only be opened from the outside handle. The door handle has not been abused; this resulted from normal use.
Appox. 40 miles a hour, I opened rear driver window or rear passenger window the car started to shake. At 50 miles an hour the car shuck violently and my hears experienced pain. I feel this is a unsafe condition and I was never told about or warned not to open the back windows if going 40 or faster in town or on the highway!.
