general problems of the 2015 Nissan Rogue

I am writing to formally document my experience with the service performed at Nissan heights following a recall repair on my vehicle. My vehicle was brought to Nissan heights on Monday, March 2, for recall service related to NHTSA recall #22v-024 (Nissan recall #r21b9) involving the wiring harness. I dropped off the vehicle early that morning with the expectation that the recall work would be completed properly and that the vehicle would be returned in good working condition. After the recall inspection and service process, I was informed that additional components needed to be replaced the engine control module (ecm), and the body control module (bcm). The cost of replacing these components was several thousand dollars. Based on the nature of the recall and the research I conducted regarding this issue, these failures appear to be directly related to the wiring harness recall. However, Nissan heights informed me that these repairs were my responsibility. In order to retrieve my vehicle, I proceeded with the repairs and paid the required amount after 8 days. When I picked up my vehicle, I later discovered that certain parts had not been properly reassembled before the car was returned to me. I did not immediately notice this until I was already driving home. Because I had to go to work, I was unable to return to the dealership right away and had to make an additional trip back to Nissan heights so that the issue could be corrected. More concerning, after further inspection of the vehicle, I discovered that a significant amount of what appears to be an acidic grease or liquid substance had been spilled over the exterior of my vehicle. This substance was present on the roof, sides, and doors of the car and appears to have caused damage to the paint. This damage was not present prior to leaving the vehicle at the dealership. The most likely explanation is that the substance came from another vehicle positioned above mine while it was stored or servic.

Air bag light will not go out. Had it “repaired” twice by Nissan dealership in past 2 years. Light again on and will not go out. I saw a couple of recalls pertaining to air bag sensors (16v911000, 16v244000, 22v024000) but was told these do not apply to my VIN. Also, since August 1, 2023, the rear hatch back door will not stay up and came down unexpectedly on my head. I saw there was a recall for my year car for the hatch issue (recall #16v219000) and notified Nissan on 8/8 but I was told my VIN is not part of that recall either. This hatch is a very real hazard as it will not stay up for loading and unloading items. I feel both of the air bag light and the hatch pose ongoing hazards if not remedied. Having these two items addressed and repaired at Nissan’s expense is desirable since my vehicle is within the recall years and is exhibiting the issues noted in the recalls. Your helping in getting this to Nissan’s attention would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

When it rains, the lights inside start flashing, it throws a check engine light and error messages about chasis control and braking system, the lights inside flicker, turnsignals and flashers stop working, the car goes into limp mode and you can't turn the car off .

My abs lights come on saying chassis control system error and awd error. I took it to Nissan dealership and they said it was find. Warning signals popping up on my dash board. I took pictures on my phone.

All out of no wear car was seating and caught on fire on the inside of car. They said it was a electrical fire started in the dome light.

Tl the contact owns a 2015 Nissan rouge. The contact stated that the interior front dome lighting console detached while driving at an unknown speed. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to tim dahle Nissan bountiful (955 n 400 e, north salt lake, ut 84054) where the failure was not diagnosed however, the contact stated the dealer was awaiting replacement parts. The contact stated that the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.
