2015 Nissan Rogue slightly over 5 years old, less than 60k mileage. The car has never been hit or involved in accident. Airbag warning light came on. Diagnosed by Nissan dealership as replacement required at owners expense. The air bags should not be failing on a lightly used vehicle modestly over 5 years old that has never been involved in an accident. A clear safety issue.

2 Warning Light On problem

Failure Date: 01/14/2020

Tl- the contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that her air bag warning light had illuminated on her dashboard while driving. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA campaign number: 16v244000 (air bags) which she linked to her failure. The manufacturer had been notified of the failure and informed her that her VIN had not been included in the recall. The contact also took the vehicle to balise Nissan of west springfield( 500 riverdale st, west springfield, MA 01089) where she was given the same information as the manufacturer. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000. Jo.

3 Warning Light On problem

Failure Date: 05/02/2016

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. After the vehicle was serviced per NHTSA campaign number: 16v244000 (air bags), the air bag warning light randomly illuminated. Later, the failure progressed and it remained illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was not available.

4 Warning Light On problem

Failure Date: 05/01/2016

The passenger side airbag is turned off when someone is sitting in the seat. The seat belt warning light also is lit when the seat is empty of people or cargo.
