The contact's daughter owns a 2016 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while her daughter was driving at various speeds, an abnormal, banging noise would emit from the engine without warning. Her daughter had initially taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic who repaired the transmission housing; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was brought back to the mechanic who then notified the local dealer of the failure. They informed him that the vehicle was not covered under warranty; however, they agreed to cover half the cost for a new transmission. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and was given the same information as the dealer. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it had yet to be repaired and remained in their possession. The failure mileage was approximately 83,000.
The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would jerk upon depression of the gas pedal without warning. She also stated that vehicle would stall upon depression of the gas pedal to the floorboard as a red indicator light would intermittently flash on the instrument panel. Additionally, she mentioned that her trunk would fail to open and that her passenger airbag warning light would intermittently illuminate without an occupant in the seat. The dealer nor the manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
