Engine unexpectedly stalls/stops under power. Along with power steering and brakes. Engine sensors were replaced by dealership. Condition persists and confirmed by dealership. Dealership maintains this is an engine wiring harness issue that shorts out under certain conditions. While engine was operating, dealership was able to cause engine to stop. Cautioned me to get wiring harness replaced, as it could present a safety issue or accident. Check engine lie went on as did the traction control light in each case after they were reset. I am taking vehicle to another service center to evaluate. Estimate was $3,402 to replace engine harness, plus it was $750 to replace sensors, vehicle has 55,000 miles on it.
My 2016 Nissan Rogue has about 58426 miles on it. At first I noticed that it was very slowly reaching the desired speed, when press on gas pedal. I was thinking it just because the eco mode is on. Then I turn it off but it still slowly reaches desired speed. On July 9, 2021 about 4 months after noticing the problems with acceleration, I was driving and car just starts making jerking, stalling movements while driving and the rpm's was jumping up and down especially when you start driving and reaching the speed limit of about 45mph. I took it for another test drive and it was jerking, shaking and stalling a lot and making very loud noise. Feel like the car will stop suddenly at the middle of the road causing hazard for other drivers and involve in the accident. Check engine light came on. Very slowly came home and then ask independent mechanic to check the car. The code reads p0841 and p0776. Tried to erase the codes but check engine light was still on. Changing the transmission oil, filter and gasket didn't resolve the problem, the check engine light is off though, for now , but the car still jerks. Slowly pressing the gas pedal and the rpm"s jumps to 3 then back to normal and car stalls and jerks. You can hear that it starts from the front bottom of the car and goes back through the whole car. Very scared to drive the car. I thought that Nissan is very reliable car, but not thinking that anymore. I also found that there are lot more complains about the transmission and even the law suits started in 2013 and 2021 and that Nissan knows about the problem with cvt transmission since 2013 but not doing anything about it. Very disappointed!.
Reviving rpms, car is shudder decreasing and increasing speed dangerous to drive.
I was just stopped at a red light. While sitting still waiting for the light, my car began to buck. And then the engine light came on. My car only has 68,000 miles on it. I have it serviced regularly. I took it directly to my mechanic and he thinks it's some kind of sensor problem. He reset the sensors and told me if it came back again to come back. Today I started my car to drive to the grocery and again I come to the. The corner and the bucking starts. I want ride home. I will be taking my car to the mechanic tomorrow. Also I just want to say your site says my car has five recalls. And it says that none of the recalls is needed at this time. I've never gotten a recall notice from Nissan for my vehicle. So I don't know if they're reporting that they're doing these recalls on my car and they really aren't or what the problem is. Maybe someone there can help me with that too. Thank you.

During the winter months, when the temperature is below 30 degrees and the car has been sitting all night, the vehicle has to be run about 5 minutes or one can't go over 15 mph. The rpm's will run at a steady 2000 until the car is warmed up and then can be driven without difficulty. I cannot give a particular date on this occurance. I bought used and happens every winter. Took into Nissan dealership and they cannot find anything wrong.
The car died while my daughter was driving at approximately 25 mph. It suddenly lost all power and she was able to coast to a stop. The steering and brakes worked, but there was no power from the accelerator then the car just turned off.
2016 Nissan Rogue car just stops dead on a busy interstate , and you call Nissan corporate and they act like they are completely unaware of all of the mechanical issues and dangers of this car. The vehicle was in motion on a busy interstate with children and a small dog in the car and it completely shits down . No air conditioner, then you get a warning about the key fob being undeteteced. You take it to Nissan and they refuse to acknowledge anything , they just start telling you you need breaks, and tires. But the real danger is that someone could get killed in this car !.
This vehicle spontaneously hesitates upon press of the has pedal.
After about 60k miles, I noticed my 2016 Nissan Rogue started to become sluggish. It was unable to accelerate quickly. I had to rev it up to at least 4 or 5 rpm to get it to even take off. There was a delay in response to me pushing the gas pedal. The engine started to shudder and shake more than before. I felt like I had to floor it to even go 30. This was very scary when pulling in front of traffic that was already going 60 on the highway. I was unable to accelerate quickly enough to keep up with the flow of traffic. At 70k, it experienced several episodes of complete failure. I'll describe one of my experiences as best as possible. After driving the Rogue for about an hour in stop and go rush hour traffic, I decided to stop at starbucks to calm my nerves. I waited in the drive through for about 15 minutes. When pulling out onto the highway, my vehicle would not go above 15mph. I was flooring it, trying to get out of the way of traffic, but the vehicle simply would not accelerate. I pulled into the center lane, and turned my car completely off. I set for about 5 minutes. Then I started the engine back up. It ran fine after that. However, this is a problem that continues to occur. I was fortunate to have a place to pull over, but what if I'm not so lucky next time? what would happen if I tried to cross a busy street and my vehicle just stopped? I don't feel safe driving this vehicle, especially with my kids inside! I took it to the dealership several times. They found nothing wrong and no recalls, but did do a transmission software update. That did not help. This problem needs to be fixed before someone gets seriously injured!!!!.
Car does not go into gear. Slips out of gear when driving. Will not accelerate after stopping. It revs up and then accelerates quickly almost causing me to hit the car in front of me.
The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Rogue. The contact owned a 2012 Nissan Rogue, but sold the vehicle due to a rodent infestation in the vehicle. The contact then purchased the 2016 Nissan Rogue, but this vehicle also became infested with rodents. The vehicle was taken to davidson Ford (18621 us-11, watertown, NY 13601) where the contact was informed that the rodents were entering through the heating duct system. The vehicle was repaired, but the issue recurred. The contact called davidson Nissan (18423 us-11, watertown, NY 13601) who advised the contact to file a homeowner's claim and the dealer would then pay for any damage done to the interior of the vehicle due to the rodent infestation. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the better business bureau. The failure mileage was 21,700. The VIN was not available.
Takata recall air bag hazardous. Light is on on passenger side indicating trouble. Also, the vehicle seems to loose power during acceleration while in motion.
While driving vehicle it cut off and a got a message stating to check the chassis control system error. It was taken to dealer on Friday December 29, initially they said after running numerous test they couldn't find anything wrong so they gave me the keys and as soon as I drove off it did again, I immediately went back and they were able to see the message . They kept the vehicle and called me to inform me that they would be putting a new controller in the vehicle. On Tuesday Jan 2 I was told my car was ready, I picked it up drove home with no problem. On Jan 3 I drove to and from work with no problem. At approximately 700 as I was getting ready to go to church I turned the car on then all of sudden the lights started flashing and it wouldn't move or turn off, I also got the messsge again. My boyfriend disconnected the battery so that I would be able to turn the car off. Tomorrow Jan 4 I will be getting it towed back to the dealership .
On 2/7/16, I was pulling into my parking space at work. My foot was on the brake as I was coming to a stop in my space. All of a sudden, the engine revved loudly, and the car lunged forward, jumped the curb and slammed into the office building!!!! I had no control even though my foot was pushing on the brake as hard as I could. My 5 year old daughter was in the car with me, and to think of what could have happened petrifies me. This malfunction has to be investigated and resolved. The diagnostics and repairs estimates are happening now, so the reports are still being formulated, and I can add them to this report once they are completed. I have contacted Nissan USA headquarters and they are supposed to be sending a regional coordinator to inspect the vehicle. I have uploaded pictures of the damage and the scene.
I recently bought Rogue in December of 2016 & within a month or so I started feeling vibrations. I took it to dealer & they said the wheel balance was off they fixed it but the vibrations were still there. I can feel the vibrations during ride when on 25mph, 40mph & above, also during idling alot of vibrations and even braking causes vibrations, I complained to dealer they checked it & it was still vibrating & they said they cant do anything because Rogues are made this way. I then complained to Nissan north America & asked to buy back this vehicle since I dont feel I should keep driving a defective car they also denied my case. I dont know what to do now, I have a new born baby & its very hard to keep up with this, the reason I bought a new car was to not get involved in car problems but I have been in peril since I purchased this vehicle. Can you please assist me with how I am going to deal with this issue.
A Nissan dealer had preformed a service campaign pc4900 to my 2016 Nissan Rogue it involved the cvt transmission software and since they did it the car is not driving like before. The shifting is slower and takes longer to shift, the engine is louder and revving higher and the fuel economy got very bad. Contacted the dealer and asked if this service campaign can be reversed and their answer was "no" I will be taking the car back to them have them check it and also contacted Nissan corp and opened a case. I hope they fix this problem as soon as possible.
