The contact's wife owns a 2016 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at 60 mph, the panoramic sunroof exploded without incident. The contact's wife pulled over and upon inspection of the vehicle discovered that the sunroof had shattered into several pieces. The contact then slowly drove the vehicle to a dealer where it remained in their possession. The dealer was unable to officially diagnose the failure but speculated that outside elements such as heat may have caused the failure. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was 34,000.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that the drain was clogged up. The drain was unclogged; however, the failure persisted. Additionally, the contact stated that her husband had informed her that the vehicle had shut off temporarily, and the rear wheels had locked up temporarily while driving. The contact stated that the front driver's side seat had failed to move as needed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that an unknown wiring harness was corroded due to the water leak and needed to be replaced. Additionally, the dealer determined that the sunroof needed to be repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000.
