2 Wiper problem

Failure Date: 08/24/2024

On Wednesday [xxx], I brought my car to autonation Nissan in pembroke pines florida due to non-functional windshield wipers. By Wednesday, August 21st, I was informed that not only were the windshield wiper motors inoperable, but a part called the engine harness was also required for repairs, and this part was not available. . I also reached out to my extended warranty program and spoke with siena at Nissan corporate, who provided me with case number [xxx]. The part number needed is assy-24012-6 MA oc. Despite my repeated follow-ups every three days with sienna, I have been informed each time that the part remains on backorder with no estimated arrival date and that a loaner vehicle cannot be provided. Consequently, I am now forced to drive my car without windshield wipers, which is unsafe. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

3 Wiper problem

Failure Date: 03/01/2023

The defrost only blows out cold air, along with the drivers side heat. Heat comes out of the passenger side but the defrost and drivers side is always cold. The cold defrost makes for less visibility and freezes the windshield making it unsafe to drive in winter conditions or cold conditions. The actuator door has been replaced twice and did not fix the issue. The dealership has recommended the entire heater / ac unit assembly being replaced for $3000. This is a common safety concern with the Nissan Rogue and should be recalled before further accidents/injuries/problems occur.

4 Wiper problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2023

The heat in my vehicle only works on the passenger side. It does not blow out warm or hot on the driver's side. This is due to a stripped actuator in the blend door. Yes, it is available for inspection upon request. I live in colorado where it gets very cold. Because the heat doesn't work on the driver's side, the windshield doesn't defrost well. This is a hazard because I cannot see through my windshield when I'm driving and it's cold out. Yes, this problem was inspected and confirmed by a local Nissan dealer in lakewood, colorado. I have been noticing water accumulation under the drivers side seat and also fogging on the windshield in front of the drivers side. This is all happening during summers. I have removed more than a gallon water already and it keeps coming back I think.

10 Wiper problem

Failure Date: 12/31/2017

Preparing for a road trip, we had the car in our garage and filled the washer fluid tank (after completely emptying it) with fluid that will not freeze up to -40f and it was working fine for a few hours while driving, however later while driving no fluid was coming out on either the front or rear windshield. The pump was working, but the top lines and nozzles were frozen so nothing was coming out. This was extremely dangerous. It was maybe 10f outside with salty and wet roads due to light flurries and we were supposed to be driving home on interstate highways for 8 hours. We lost visibility multiple times and had to keep pulling over to manually wipe down the windshields and eventually were unable to make our trip as planned because of how impossible and unsafe it was to use the car. The nozzles and lines are simply too small and it's not a problem with our fluid as it was completely liquid. We could feel how tight the tubes were and how it was unable to get the fluid through. You do not realize how necessary windshield fluid is until your car gets covered in salt behind a truck on the interstate and you instantly cannot see anything. This is unacceptable and extremely unsafe for all people driving in the winter. It is still not working properly and it's 20f today which is average northeast temperature. Sometimes we get a very light spray through the front windshields - I'd say maybe 15% of what normally gets out. This issue has put us in danger.
