I was driving on a city street, came up to an intersection to make a left hand turn and all of a sudden the car put on the brakes and jolted me and my passenger forward. There was no car in front of me or behind me at this time. I seen the warning come for no reason. I am a little nervous about driving the vehicle at this point.
I would like to report an issue with the vehicles automatic braking assistance system. While driving the car on an avenue, the car just stopped completely with no other traffic in the area. No one in front or behind. The car came to a complete stop and I and my passenger where thrown forward with the seat belts tightening around us. The car has also slowed down on major streets and highways. ## #vpic# 1 - check digit (9th position) does not calculate properly #vpic#.
When I first got the vehicle last year a few days after having it my check engine light came on and I called the dealership and told them the issue, and the had me to bring it in the drive was over an hour . I get there they gave me a loaner. At first they said I could choose from a selection, but the I get there and I couldn't choose I could only get the truck they gave me because of the bankruptcy program. The other day the engine light came on again I took it to auto zone and they put it on the diagnostic machine and printed out a paper as if now I have over 70,000 miles on my dashboard, but the paper said 122,015 miles.
On four occasions my car has randomly started flashing a light on my dash and than grabbing the brakes as if someone or something was in front of me, on all four occasions there has been no one in front of me, but there has been people behind me that have had to swerve out of the way. The vehicle is brand new with less than 40k miles and is becoming more and more dangerous for my children and I.
Happened multiple times till now. Car randomly brakes (automatic emergency brake) I'm the middle of the road while driving. I had a near miss yesterday and other close situations. This happened on city roads 3 times and the highway once.
I was driving down the road and the brakes locked up in the car came to a complete stop and the sensor system detected something in front of me when there was nothing in front of me. I wais traveling at a speed of 30 mph.
I was pulling into my garage a few days ago and the emergency brake system engaged. There was absolutely nothing in front of me when this happened. Again today, I was driving down the city road going approximately 25 mph and the car it happened again. The warning flashed, car beeped and just stopped for no reason at all. Nothing in front and thankfully no cars behind me. This is extremely dangerous and scary! thank goodness I was not in an accident due to this issue.
I was driving my 2018 Nissan Rogue sport s awd and out of the blue on the instrument panel pop up's chassis control system error and and all of the little instrument diagrams started flashing on and off the radio and clock turn off the car was making a buzzing sound. So I pulled over off the road took out the manual it say take to a Nissan dealer for complete scan of all the systems. Which I will be doing on Wednesday 1/8/2020, which is the earliest that they could see me. But my question is is their and issues with this car because I've been checking online and alot of people or reporting they have issuses with this system and no one seems to be able to get and answer on why this is happening. And if this issuses has be going on since about 2016 that I've found why hasn't Nissan done something about it,.
Keep getting warning message while driving - this warning appears when the blind spot warning/lane departure warning or forward collision warning systems are not functioning properly. The breaks while driving will seem to shake. Like I don't have control of them. Water coming in through the hatch/trunk of car. So many problems with this brand new car.
I was driving to work this morning at 6:25am about 35 mph on a major road, not highway, when the automatic vehicle brakes stopped the car suddenly. The brakes showed up in the display. There was nothing in front of me, clear road, no rain. I was shaken up a bit, the brakes released.
Wen my wife was driving in the highway the eab brakes come on. Making a loud grounding noice two times and the car almost stop in the middle of the highway she was lucky because was. No other cars close to her we afraid to drive this car enymore.
2018 Nissan Rogues automatic braking feature engages without warning under normal driving conditions with no threat of emergency. Automatic braking has brought the car to a full stop at over 30mph creating a major safety concern. Currently the sensor at fault is only being repaired under warranty at 2k$. The condition has happened on the highway at highway speed, on heavy inclines, and can be replicated in parking garages with heavy slope. I can recreate this issue with parking garage inclines at any speed and have video documentation.
Collision avoidance system activated without cause resulting in vehicle suddenly stopping on roadway.
While driving on a sunny day on a city street my car suddenly slammed on the brakes while driving under a highway overpass. It did this on it's own in clear weather while in motion. It appeared the car reacted on it's own to the shadow of the highway I was about to drive under. There was no car in front of me and I in fact was about to accelerate to make a left turn after going under the overpass. The car brakes suddenly when going into the shadow of the overpass. It startled me and my automatic reaction was to switch my foot to the brake and when I did I could feel the brake was already depressed all the way to the floor. The car briefly stopped and then the brake let up and I then could continue driving a couple seconds later. It was scary and dangerous. Someone could've been behind me and hit me. I was rattled for 30 minutes afterward. I am unsure of the exact date this occurred but I gave the best estimate I could down below.
I was driving on the highway through a puddle that was larger than normal but nothing my car couldn't handle and it just stopped. Luckily no one was going super fast behind me but the aeb kicked in and the car stopped dead in its tracks.
The car on multiple occasions has randomly braked (grinding like brakes) with the dash lights flashing. I've taken it in to get "fixed" only to have the exact same thing happen again. Now service is telling me that they don't see any programming issue. It's startling as it continuously happens in the parking lot, going about 5 mpf, of my work which is on a decline downward into the lot. More concerning and scary is the fact that this happened going 65 mph on the highway. The weather conditions were fine and there was absolutely no reason for the braking.
In parking garage the emergency stop engages every floor while going up the ramp and also finding a parking space. Speed will be 15mph or lower and will cause the breaks to slam potentially causing a wreck everyday I work in the area due to all the cars being so close together.
While driving approx 25 mph the vehicle front collision indicator engaged and vehicle behind slowing down. The road was clear with no obstructions. Has happened approximately four times since purchase in Dec 2018.
On 4 different occasions, the automatic braking has engaged for no reason while I have been driving. Luckily each one of the times I was not driving freeway speeds. Also, countless times I get an error message saying that something is obstructing the sensor, but there are no obstructions. This has got me worried and dont feel safe.
I was driving down a highway going 60 mph, no cars around me, when the aeb sensor started to go off and then braked harshly with a screeching noise. This is the first time the brakes were engaged, second time the warning sensor went off in less than 3 months.
The automatic emergency braking system is engaging when there is not even other cars in front of my moving vehicle. I have taken the vehicle in twice for the same issue in less than 30 days. The first time it was taken in on 5/23/19. They said that a code c1a16-54 popped up stating the radar sensor needed to be realigned. Asked whether the vehicle was now safe to drive. Service personal said that it should be okay. I asked what would happen if it happened again. Told me to bring vehicle back and and that they would probably replace the sensor since they were having some issues with some of the sensors. Driving home on 6/19/19 the aeb system engaged again with no traffic near me. Took the vehicle in again on 6/21/19. After driving the car and checking for any codes, the service person stated that there was nothing wrong with the aeb and it was working properly. The car is a safety issue. I'm not comfortable driving the car as I never know when it will engage again and if anyone is following me that might not be able to stop in time.
While driving; a bug or some small object?? hitting the anti collision sensor will activate the brakes without warning usually when driving over 30 mph this has happened at least a dozen times at no set pattern.
Braking system did not function causing vehicle to rear end car in front of me when I was in heavy afternoon traffic entering I-565 from a downward ramp from overpass over I-565. Minimum damage to Toyota highlander hit from rear. Significant damage to front end of Rogue. Undriveable. Towed to body shop!.
I recently saw a complaint regarding "unintended braking due to the automatic emergency braking (aeb) system engaging with no apparent obstruction in the path of the vehicle. " I believe this exact thing happened to me going approx 50-60mph on the highway with no other vehicles in my path. Scared the crap out of me but it only lasted for a few seconds and has not happened again (yet). Date of occurrence is approximate.
Distance sensor malfunctioning. I have had to return it to the dealership three times for this issue. Without warning the car will slam on the brakes as if something was in its path.
The automatic emergency brake system engages when there is a clear road and no obstructions in front of or around the vehicle whatsoever. The most recent incident happened while the car was in motion on a highway going 45-50 mph - the aeb system deployed and the car fully engaged the brakes in an attempt to stop. This was on an open road with no other vehicles or obstructions in the road or even in my direct line of sight. There are many others who seem to have reported this issue to their dealer's service dept. And have been told there is nothing wrong with the sensors. I live where ice is common - had this happened even traveling at a slower pace in bad road conditions, I could have spun out, slid into other traffic, into the ditch, etc. This is an extremely dangerous situation. . . It's a rear-end collision or even worse accident just waiting to happen.
Driving forward on burke road going around a bend the braking system just locked up causing the rouge sport to go off the road causing damage to car. After that the malfunction light came on. This is the first time it happened and have drove in the unit since 2018 never had anything let that happen. Service department says they can't run a computer diagnose.
