The contact stated that the passenger door in the front of the vehicle failed to unlock/lock with the fob. The lock would also fail to lock with the inside lock intermittently. The contact stated that the alarm indicating the doors had been unlocked would sound off however over time the alarm failed to activate. The failure had become more persistent over time. The vehicle had not been taken to the dealer. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the door lock mechanism was replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure where it was confirmed the repair was not covered under warranty or recall. A case was filed with the manufacturer regarding the failure. The failure mileage was 41,400.

2 Latches/locks/linkage problem

Failure Date: 05/01/2022

The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Rogue sport. The contact stated that on various occasions, multiple attempts were needed to start the vehicle after the key was placed in the ignition. The contact also stated that the key fob failed to unlock the doors. The contact stated that an unknown warning light was illuminated. The vehicle had not yet been taken to an independent mechanic or a local dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. The VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 23v093000 (electrical system). The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 57,000.
