1 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 10/10/2025

My 2019 Nissan Rogue sport is affected by recall 23v-093, related to the jackknife key potentially collapsing while driving and shutting off the vehicle. The only remedy currently offered is a spacer inserted into the key fob to permanently prevent the blade from folding. This disables the folding feature — a core function of the product — and turns a jackknife key into a permanently extended blade. I consider this an unacceptable fix. It does not restore the key’s intended design or function. No alternate solution (such as a properly redesigned or replacement fob) is offered. My dealer confirmed the “repair” is only the plastic spacer. Nissan consumer affairs escalated my case, but the call was dropped during transfer and I could not reach a resolution. I have not experienced a shutdown incident, but I am filing this complaint because the offered recall remedy removes a core feature and does not constitute a true repair. Nissan should be required to provide a fix that both eliminates the safety risk and restores original functionality.

2 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 09/16/2025

The transmission failed on my 2019 Nissan Rogue sport. I was driving down the road and my car started to jerk and go faster and then slower while I was driving down the road at 55 miles per hour. I could not control the speed or the smoothness of the car operation. I had no warning light or any indication that this was about to happen. The warning light came on much later when I was at home. This is a problem that Nissan is well aware of and has done nothing to inform customers or mitigate the damage (in my case $6,599. 40). There are many class-action lawsuits, but the one covering this car has already ended as on January 1, 2029. This problem tends to occur at about 80,000 miles, so I am maintaining that Nissan should reimburse me (my car had about 76,000 miles at the time). By cutting off the class-action lawsuit in 2020, no 2019 cars would have 80,000 miles on them. There is a class action lawsuit for another model that runs from 2014 to 2018, so they can honor requests on this model as well.

3 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 07/05/2025

I am first concern with the fact that the cvt transmission is not listed under the “component” section and this concern is a major problem many Nissan drivers are seeing. I would like to additional know how this transmission malfunction is not a safety concern as it tremendously affects the speed and operation of the vehicle regardless of maintenance. I have a 2019 Nissan Rogue sport that recently started to stall at red lights and even lose speed acceleration while in operation. Upon researching what this issue could be I discovered that most 2015-2022 model Rogue have this issue and it associate with the cvt transmission! my question and maybe great fear is why this doesn’t constitute for an immediate recall for Nissan by the NHTSA?! there are multiple reports on this issue to support our claims yet nothing. I strongly advise someone look into this matter before any loss of life happens.

4 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 01/08/2025

Car stops abruptly when no objects or cars are in the road - had to push through on the gas to not be hit/cause and accident. • seems to be (ntb19-033f). But no longer/ never active for 2019 Rogue? • can kill someone and cause severe damage to humans and vehicles/property. • has happened twice (June 2024, January 2025) thankfully with no crashes, but very possible. • local dealership says it's not an active recall and > $2000 for repair on Jan 9, 2025 2019 Nissan Rogue sport sl.

5 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 12/28/2024

While driving 55 mph and coming to a four way intersection the automatic braking system engaged and momentarily applied the brakes. This did not cause an accident because it was brief. It would have caused a serious accident if I were on ice, or turning, or several other situations. The dealerships I called said they new of no such problems with tis model. Yet it's a well documented problem with this model. The warning lamp came on after the incident and comes on often. The problem has not been checked by a dealer since they say it is normal and want to charge to check it out.

The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while attempting to make a turn, the transmission inadvertently downshifted and the accelerator pedal was inadvertently depressed. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact was informed by the dealer that the failure could not be duplicated. The contact stated that the failure recurred, and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer referred the contact to the manufacturer for assistance. The dealer recommended to the manufacturer that the gear shift lever be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. 7 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 04/26/2024

I have reported to my dealer (the marlboro Nissan/MA on may 24, 2024 2:00pm) thedangerous situation that keeps my Rogue (VIN: jn1bj1crxkw322671) at a lowergear (the car cannot go more than 20 mph. . . In the highway this is very slow) afterstanding still in a traffi c jam for a while on a hot day (specially after a traffi c jam iscleared). I'm concerned this can cause an accident and Nissan is doing nothing toresolve this risky car issue. There is no indication in the dashboard and even thoughwe have reported this problem to the dealer twice, they have done nothing. Nissanshould be held accountable for not resolving this design/manufacturing issue. Additional.

8 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 12/18/2023

On December 18, 2023, on the masspike, inbound, at the morning rush hour, the traffic was in a hard stop for more than 1 hour (moving very slow bumper to bumper), after the brighton exit, whatever the reason of the traffic jam cleared and all the car speeded up. . . My Nissan Rogue sport accelerated a bit but them came to a very low speed (~ 10 mph). I checked whether I was in the right gear (it was: d), checked whether there was any dashboard error sign (there was not!); the car was very slow at a moment when all the cars near me where rushing. I truly though I could get rammed in the rear by cars trying to get to their destination. All cars were honking because I was at a very low speed (and I put on the emergency lights). I took the car for service at the marlborough Nissan (740 boston post rd e. Marlborough, massachusetts 01752) today (December 26 2023), but they claimed there was nothing wrong with the car. I can tell you that if Nissan does nothing to solve this problem, other cars of their brand will have a big problem. I don't know what the problem is, but there are several post in internet claiming this is a big issue: https://forums. Nicoclub. Com/problem-with-accelerating-t534026. Html https://forums. Nicoclub. 9 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 11/14/2023

As I accelerated the car, the car suddenly slowed down. As I accelerated it would barely move no matter how hard I pushed the accelerator. The was a major safety risk because cars were behind me and if I was on a highway, someone could easily slam into my back. The vehicle was inspected by a mechanic. There was no warning on the dash.

While I was on the freeway the 2019 Nissan Rogue began to stall and the vehicle lost speed I try to get off the freeway almost crashed into on going freeway traffic and it stopped moving I put the car in park and I could not move the gears it was like they were stuck. No warning lights came on. 11 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 09/21/2021

2019 Nissan Rogue, this is the first (09/21/21) of 2 (03/16/22) electrical issues with my car which I bought new from a Nissan dealer. The mileage on 9/21/21 was 9,868. There had been a squealing noise heard when turning off my car and opening the drivers door. Then while driving it 3/16/21 my vehicle doors began to unlock and lock which was confusing and annoying and then a yellow warning light lit on the dashboard when I went over bumps in the road then the cruise control shut off at the same time. Luckily there weren’t any cars around my car. My cairn terrier dog was riding in the backseat. His collar was attached via leash to the headrest for safety. I had no idea what was going on with my car. I drove to the Nissan dealer they looked my car over. They claimed the hatch was not shut as the cause. It made no sense to me as the above happened as I was driving and no dash light went on until my car doors started locking and unlocking and the cruise control shut off when I went over bumps. Refer to my second complaint for the next electrical issue that happened 6 months after this one it relates again to the cruise control. I filed a separate complaint for the 2nd electrical issue (mileage 12,120) with NHTSA.

13 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 11/27/2020

I was driving at I-80 westbound from council bluffs to omaha. Just after entering in omaha my Nissan Rogue sl suddenly slowed down its speed from 65miles to 40 miles for no obvious reason. I had my pro pilot assist function on at it seems that the car decided for no reason to decrease the speed as there was no vehicle in the front of the car that I could have seen in my lane. I was worried and got panicked as there was a semi truck behind me. I immediately turned off the pro pilot assist function and accelerated to avoid a rear end collision from the semi. My family a 1 year old daughter and wife were in the SUV with me. I think we could have got killed by this malfunction of Nissan Rogue. Please do the needful to have Nissan check it and to make sure if this vehicle is safe to drive.

16 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 06/30/2020

The "automatic" braking system engaged for no reason with no obstruction or object causing the car to stop violently and greatly increased the potential for an accident. Speed was maximum 15 mph on a residential street. Train tracks were being approached but were 2-3 meters away, nothing else was near the car. This occurred shortly after heading out from destination, (<5min) from start up. Car was proceeding straight without turning.

17 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 06/19/2020

While I was driving in traffic with the propilot assist and intelligent cruise, I was involved in an accident. My car was pacing the car in front just fine and when the car stopped suddenly in front my car did not. By the time I realized the car was not going to stop in time I slammed on my breaks and nothing happened. I was pressing on the brakes so hard that the air bags did not even touch me. I also had issues with my car suddenly stopping for no reason while propilot assist was engaged.

21 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 08/10/2019

The camera that controls the automatic breaking system as well as the lane warnings keeps saying there is an obstruction but there isn't one. I owned the vehicle about 1 hour when the warning light appeared and they said it was a simple software update but now they are saying it needs a new sensor. I want to return the car but I am in nh where there is no cooling off period. I am afraid this is going to be an ongoing issue after reading here, please advise.

22 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 05/23/2019

Driving on the highway 4 days after bought 2019 Rogue and my acceleration went down, brakes came on and warning/malfunction "symbol;" went to dealer and advised "known sensor issue where detect cameras automatically apply brakes sensing driver about to hit something" was never disclosed such a hazard was possible. Feel unsafe as drive on highway constantly.

23 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 02/25/2019

Vehicle sputters then stalls on I-10 interstate hwy, chassis control light comes on. Vehicle will restart and immediately stall again yesterday night. Extreme safety hazard as this occurs with no warning and for no apparent reason. This has happened on multiple occasions, today, this morning at 7:40 am 2/26/2019 it happened on the freeway in a rainy, cloudy and fair visibility and I was unable to get to the side of the road due to speeds. Car is 1 month, brand new and driven for 2400 miles only.

24 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 02/06/2019

I drove home a brand new 2019 Nissan Rogue sl awd from the dealer on a Friday night with 9 miles on it. I drove it on the highway to go skiing the following day and then on Monday evening (after 3 days of owning car and 362 miles), the engine malfunction indicator light went on. Called dealer and they said to bring in to look at it and also the Nissan connect email stated to open/close gas cap. After doing so, a couple of start/stops, the light did not come back on. I called dealer and said if it comes on, I will bring in but let's wait and see. On Wednesday (day 5 and 440 miles), I was commuting home from work and while in middle lane of slow moving traffic on a state highway, 6 malfunction indicator lights all went on and the car felt strange. As soon as I could, I got into the right lane and realized I had no acceleration as if the car felt like it was in neutral. I was able to coast over and into a nearby parking lot thankfully. I called dealer and they advised to call for road side assistance and tow to their dealership. I was given a loaner and have been working with Nissan consumer affairs. The car is still not repaired after 8 days of being in service department and them working with Nissan specialists. They believe they found the electrical connection issue and are still working through it and will test but I do not feel safe getting back into this vehicle after having an engine failure that could have resulted in serious injury or worse.
