1)backup camera freezes. I need to pause the car and wait a minute then it will restart. This happens a couple of times a week. 2)also, there have been several times when going down a hill, my forward collision warning light and sound goes off and it feels like a light emergency brake is applied. (though the dealer told me that I did not have the automatic emergency braking). This occurs for about 2-3 seconds and then stops on it's own. I have never seen anything in the road that would set this off. This has happened about 4 times within the last 6 months or less.
Our 2019 Nissan Rogue sv crash warning light came on the instrument cluster, also it stopped letting me know when I was going over the lane. The warning sign is still coming on and will not turn off. The button switch on left section on the steering wheel do not functioning. After a diagnostic test it was shown to be the forward collision warning (fcw). I understand that this seems to be a problem with this particular type of vehicles and it has been reported many times but no recall have been initiated, I feel very unsafe driving it, it is estimated the cost to repair this problem is about $2600.
Forward collision warning system will randomly locking up brakes. Vehicle starts to slide sideways, if someone is following closely this could set up a chain reaction. Vehicle was inspected at dealership, couldn’t duplicate. It has happened several times.
On December 18, 2023, on the masspike, inbound, at the morning rush hour, the traffic was in a hard stop for more than 1 hour (moving very slow bumper to bumper), after the brighton exit, whatever the reason of the traffic jam cleared and all the car speeded up. . . My Nissan Rogue sport accelerated a bit but them came to a very low speed (~ 10 mph). I checked whether I was in the right gear (it was: d), checked whether there was any dashboard error sign (there was not!); the car was very slow at a moment when all the cars near me where rushing. I truly though I could get rammed in the rear by cars trying to get to their destination. All cars were honking because I was at a very low speed (and I put on the emergency lights). I took the car for service at the marlborough Nissan (740 boston post rd e. Marlborough, massachusetts 01752) today (December 26 2023), but they claimed there was nothing wrong with the car. I can tell you that if Nissan does nothing to solve this problem, other cars of their brand will have a big problem. I don't know what the problem is, but there are several post in internet claiming this is a big issue: https://forums. Nicoclub. Com/problem-with-accelerating-t534026. Html https://forums. Nicoclub. My son financed a Nissan Rogue sport in Aug of 2023. He was in an accident in Nov of 2023. I have not spoken to him since. He spoke with some of my family members, told them the accident was his fault and he doesn't understand what happened. He said he just lost control while driving. I'm thinking it was the key fob, he's a very tall boy and the crash could have been a result of hitting the key fob while driving. I'm hoping there is a way to find that out. The dealership we got the car from wjk tempe Dodge. 7975 s autoplex loop tempe az 85284-1023. I tried calling them to get some info but got no responses. The vehicle is totaled and sits on the side of my home with a tarp over it. It has not had any type of assesments by insurance company because I am excluded from policy and registration. Driving through an intersection that was empty. One car was 1,000 feet away in the other lane. The abs warning and triangle displayed on dashboard. Simultaneously the brakes engaged coming close to a full stop. No car near by. Then the brakes disengaged and we were able to drive with no further issues.
After heavy rainfall I get the message "warning malfunction" and "chasis control system error". Brought into Nissan and they can't seam to figure out the problem. I can not use cruise control, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, forward collision warning, automatic breaking, etc. No water leaks have been detected.
Unknown. . . . After seeing several news reports about the forward collision light flashing ,I'm afraid this vehicle will apply the breaks on it's own causing injury or death to me or my family.
I am getting this warning. Took the car for recall repairs on June 15. They told me to fix the camera but I don’t really sure. Still getting warning sign on dashboard and afraid to drive . I contact Nissan’s customer service on June 26 to inform them and I’m still waiting for their call it is almost brand new car and only 12000 miles on it.
Emergency braking system engaging without provocation or cause.
This is Nissan Rogue, it's loaded with sensors, malfunction many times without warning, it had locked the brakes by itself in different times day and night, also pick up speed cameras as warning although this was fixed, while lasted was very annoying.
Car emergency braking system engaged to start car battery drained while parked, car will not start lights flicker then say malfunction refer to owners manual, shows the car have no back up warning no head on collision warnings and no reverse warning, car will not recognize key does not detect key, or say wrong key car battery immediately dies constantly. Could not get a reading .
While driving with no cars in front of my vehicle, the automatic emergency braking light illuminated and then the car automatically applied the brakes. This has happened several times. This seems to be an issue when it colder out (below 40 degrees). This issue has occurred when the vehicle was traveling down a rural road, speed limit 40 as well as a city street.
I was driving at I-80 westbound from council bluffs to omaha. Just after entering in omaha my Nissan Rogue sl suddenly slowed down its speed from 65miles to 40 miles for no obvious reason. I had my pro pilot assist function on at it seems that the car decided for no reason to decrease the speed as there was no vehicle in the front of the car that I could have seen in my lane. I was worried and got panicked as there was a semi truck behind me. I immediately turned off the pro pilot assist function and accelerated to avoid a rear end collision from the semi. My family a 1 year old daughter and wife were in the SUV with me. I think we could have got killed by this malfunction of Nissan Rogue. Please do the needful to have Nissan check it and to make sure if this vehicle is safe to drive.
Collision lights came on. No cars around. Auto braking when not needed is very dangerous. Check bbb, other Nissan forums. Cars taken to dealer without results. This should be checked and recalled before serious injury or death occurs. This issue seems to be taken lightly when it shouldn't. Vehicle in motion on 4 lanes, speed 55 with cruise set.

2 months after buying the brand new car, I was driving with no one around and the car suddenly brakes on it’s own and shuddered. The front crash warning light came on. The car recovered and I took it to dealership. They replaced the censor. The censor continues to come on intermittently and I’ve taken it back three times. They state it could be frost in the lens or a bug. The last time it happened it was a 90 degree day with no one driving around me. The radio also comes on without the car being on and frequently switches modes on itself. It’s been to the dealership a total of 4 or 5 times over the same problem. The censor has been changed 3 times and as of now the car is not producing any codes when the hook it up but the. Ensor light still comes on from time to time.
