The contact owns a 2020 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while operating the vehicle, there was an abnormal fuel odor inside the cabin of the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to properly accelerate while depressing the accelerator pedal. The vehicle was taken to the local service center who diagnosed that the mass air flow sensor was faulty and needed to be replaced. The mass air flow sensor was replaced, and the acceleration failure was corrected; however, the fuel odor remained inside the cabin of the vehicle. The local dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 124,000.
