1 Assist problem

Failure Date: 03/01/2024

I have a 2021 Nissan Rogue and have had numerous problems with it since the purchase. My current problem is that the back hatch/trunk is leaking when it rains, water is coming through. The back hatch/trunk will also open and not stay open, it begins to automatically close unless you press the button so it will not close on you. The warning lights have also began coming on again stating that driving assistance is not available. I also lose power to the display screen on the inside and it goes dark. The Nissan place where I live is aware and I have an appointment on Tuesday of this month. I have asked them in the past about recalls on my vehicle and they state that my vehicle has no recalls, I have also checked the site and it states my VIN is not included in the recall even though I feel like I have had so many problems with this car. In the past, I have already had to have my alternator replaced and a new battery. This is my first experience owning a Nissan, in the past I had a Toyota and in the future I will go back to a Toyota. I will not own another Nissan, my experience has not been a good one with this vehicle.

2 Assist problem

Failure Date: 07/15/2023

Unknown, this is what I remember, as I was traveling on this highway I pushed the lane correcting button on because it was raining and I don't like being out in the rain. I had put on my cruse control and after about halfway to the exit I turned the cruse control off so that the vehicle could slow down and I could cost to the exit however out of nowhere my steering wheel starts pulling to the left so I tried to turn it back to align with the back of my truck and the steering wheel was stuck it would not move so, I braced myself for impact. I am still scared. No one will help me and the vehicle is available for request if need be. I really could have been killed and someone else too if they had been near me at the time of the accident. The guard rails saved me from going into the opposite side of traffic on the highway. Because of what I was doing no one will help me. So I don't know what to do now. There were no warning signs before the accident however I did have an oil change and my tires rotated 3 weeks before my accident. Everything happened on the day of my accident. No 1 will look at it. My insurance will not cover me so they will not help and the people I was driving for are basically not responsible and now I am out of my vehicle and I need it inspected but no 1 will help me.

3 Assist problem

Failure Date: 07/24/2021

On 7/23/21, I leased a 2021 Nissan Rogue sv awd at Nissan of streetsboro, ohio. I leased the vehicle because I felt the newly designed Rogue looks good and drives smoothly. Unfortunately, during a recent long-distance trip from ohio to florida between 7/24 and 8/3 on interstate multi-lane highway I-77 and I-95 for a total of 2,500 miles, I uncovered a serious safety defect that is not possible to spot during the local test drive and it prompted me to make this report. The near accident-causing problem occurred on three occasions when the cruise control and intelligent lane intervention (I-li) were enabled simultaneously at high speed (60~70mph). The incident occurred when I passed a big truck on the lane next to me, andthe entire Rogue got pulled towards that truck! what had happened was that the intelligent lane intervention system (I-li) is designed to keep the vehicle in lane automatically. But when the truck next lane made a mistake and crossed line into my lane, I had to pull away from it, but then the intelligent lane intervention (I-li) system failed to recognize the danger and forced my vehicle back in lane while the truck was still there, allowing my vehicle onto a collision course at high speed. I had since made the report to Nissan consumer affair. And the Nissan dealer sent the tech person out to drive along side of me, and he fully agreed that it is a dangerous problem. However, to my utter surprise, the case manage at Nissan consumer affair closed the case simply because that's how the feature was designed and no damage had occurred to the vehicle. I felt obligated and determined not to let this dangerous defect cause anyone's life. So, I contacted Nissan America corporate office on 8/31. They only had someone call me back to acknowledge receipt of my letter. No actions had been taken since. I am still driving this unsafe leased vehicle, and the lease is for 3 years. I think it's illegal to lease an unsafe vehicle to a customer.
