Roof leak causing interior stains.
Lots of things of my car, I replaced battery after I bought this car just 2 years. I replaced mount engine when my car was 60k it is too early! problem with airflow to engine that my mechanical found out the code recall and this was happening before my warranty is out! transmission problem so fast and I also thought it was out of warranty that happened around 75k. It is terrible car that I have used!!! I never had any mail or email recall about those but how come my local mechanical found out but when I went to dealership they told me my car has not recall from dealership.
Hi team, I own a certified 2021 Nissan and am currently experiencing a water leak at the top front corners of the windshield. The vehicle has been inspected for windshield defects and clogged drains, but no issues were found. After conducting some research online, I discovered that this issue closely resembles the one described in technical bulletin ntb21-097b. Which is describing this issue is happening with all 2021 manufactured vehicles. However, my vehicle’s VIN does not show any active recall associated with this bulletin. I am attaching pictures for your reference. I kindly request that you consider covering this issue under the scope of the bulletin and advise me on the next steps in the process. Thank you for your assistance. Thanks [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
The panoramic sunroof spontaneously exploded while on the highway. The noise was highly disturbing and almost made us crash because it was so unexpected. A glass company and insurance adjuster have looked at it and determined the whole system will have to be removed. There were no prior warnings.
Since I financed my car is have been hearing cracking sounds when turning the steering wheel. I reached out to dealership several times and kept being told someone will contact me. Over months and several calls no help was giving. I went to dealership and made someone come out to check my car noise. They made me take it back another day to be fixed they said it was the break back plate turns out I get car back noise stated again. I called again took back again they said it was rear strut part was on backorder so had to wait weeks for part. Took it back on 9/17 as they take the old strut out another piece they claimed crumbled into pieces my car stayed overnight as they had to order part. 9/18 I get a call they fixed it test drove but still hears cracking sounds. Now they saying it's the tire rod on front drivers side where I originally stated I hear the cracking sounds. How can a 2021 Rogue with 23k miles when I purchased from Nissan dealership have a bad tire rod. I've done research just now and see my Nissan isn't only one. I believe this is something that should be looking into with this yr model Nissan. The dealership also should of addressed this issue back when I 1st bought the car and informed them about it. Almost 7 months now driving with a bad tire rod with my family in the car.
On around Jan 28 or 29th around 9-10 pm. I hear a muffled explosion. It even vibrated our house. It scared me and our two dogs. On Jan 30th we ran errands in my vehicle. We get home. I open her hatch to get stuff out. I hear broken glass sound. I look up to see her rear window completely shattered. With two holes. One in the same area on either side. The glass actually blew outwards!! I called my local Nissan in greeneville, TN. They told me to bring it in on on Jan 31. Before taking it in. I goigled our issue. Low and behold numerous 2021 Nissan Rogue owners on a Nissan forum has had the same issue! Nissan denies that there's been any issues have they had to replace any rear windows due to this. On a Nissan forum other customers have been denied as well! a company that makes billions won't accept responsibility. I know one thing. We'll never buy another Nissan for sure. As we had to pay out of pocket almost $500 to have it replaced. Nissan denied ours as I had to tape it all up. Otherwise it would've fallen out into the road. Roughly 2 dozen or more customers can't be lying nor be wrong. Please help us. As I'm pretty sure it's a bad batch of glass. If it were anything else there'd probably be more.
Side view mirrors vibrate to the point of distortion making it harder to see vehicles. The problem is in the pedestal mount attached the doors which act like a tuning fork and need to be updated to wider base pedestals to mitigate vibration like other vehicles that have door mounted mirrors. Please help its very dangerous.
Unknown I fell victim to a wiretapping incident that is still under federal investigation that began in my vehicle on June 23rd, 2023. This concern is in regard to life safety and loss of control of the vehicle on or around the same time, due to radio transmission feedback beeping coming from the passenger side speaker, as well as what sounded like an emergency response unit radio. The noise would not stop until I pulled the plug on the battery of the car as well as the fuse panel to the head unit. While driving the vehicle in converse TX around August 1st, 2023, I noticed the speedometer locking at a higher than average speed for the area I was in, like it would go into cruise control automatically, without my consent. I then hit the brake to slow it down, but the speedometer locked again and would read what I believed to be 5mph over the speed limit, but I could hear the engine revving and feel myself speeding up. I parked the car and pulled the majority of the fuse panel after this event, barely used it, reset the firmware version on the head unit and do not have this issue today. I reported this to Nissan twice in person, once on the phone and twice in writing. Nissan refuses to look into it until I pay for them to plug up their equipment to determine what happened and that there is nothing wrong since there is not yet a recall leading to my event.
Roof rails are leaking onto a pillar curtain air bags and causing headliner to become saturated above the a pillers on both sides of the car. Water is also getting onto electrical lighting in vanity mirrors. Found a TSB on this, but also found there is a massive problem with this and it should be a recall. Multiple people who own Rogues from this year are having this issue. Water could cause damage to airbags, mold in headliner, and electrical issues with upper roof controls and lighting. Made appointment with shop and will present the TSB when I get there.
The contact owns a 2021 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that on multiple occasions while in reverse, the rear-view camera display was black. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that there was corrosion in the plug and the rear-view camera needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired and two weeks later the failure reoccurred twice. The contact believed that the failure was associated with NHTSA campaign numbers: 22v772000 (back over prevention) and 22v527000 (back over prevention, equipment). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
The actuators on the doors are failing, so the door locks are unreliable. I paid to have the front passenger door's actuator replaced at a cost to me of almost $700. Now I am having the same issue with the driver's side actuator, which means another $700 repair. I worry that the same thing will happen to the two back doors. To me, this is a quality issue. The car is barely 3 years old (I purchased it in August 2020). If I don't spend the money to get this fixed, I run the risk of getting carjacked or the car broken into. I have tried and failed to get any kind of resolution from Nissan consumer affairs - they keep using stall tactics rather than being straightforward. I am also unhappy with the resolution of the jackknife key recall. They did the bare minimum to resolve this issue and now I have a key that is forced to stay in the open position at all times. The key is now over 4" long. It's also sharp and I've lost count of how many times I've stabbed my leg and put holes in my pants pockets.
Intermittent problems with the automatic transmission requiring stopping the vehicle, oft times in traffic, to restart the engine. All too often multiple restarts are required before the transmission works properly. It's a daily problem that occurs at the initial start and after coming to a traffic light. Nissan auto shops have not been able rectify the problem.
Today, 8/16/23, car had a oil change done at 32,167 mi. , commented to service advisor that key needs a battery. The battery got replaced and was told that maybe the key needed to be rewired. I asked the check out receptionist how much does it cost. I was answered that its over $180 dollars.
All headrests in the car became moldy and flaked white powder onto the seats. This car was part of the covid issues and I was told it sat on a parking lot for approximately a year before receiving a chip. I purchased the car in the summer of 2022. In 2023 I noticed my headrests were getting a white powder on them. In the seams, front, back, and all sides. It was on every single headrest. Moldy headrests can cause many health issues. I had to contact the corporate office as no one was taking it seriously. I have now had all headrests replaced with new ones. They did not detail the interior of the car after replacement. I plan to do this myself.
I have had several issues over the course of 2 years with the what appears to be an electrical or computer problem with this vehicle. The dashboard will light up and all the warnings constantly display. It is not always the same alert. It has also happened a couple times while I was driving and I had to pull over. Today I had another issue I went to get in my car and there is beeping and flashing and lights on the dashboard, I was also unable to start my vehicle, it progressed to me not being able to unlock or lock the doors, I had to do it manually. This is not the first time this has happened, and eventually I was able to get it started, but not the time. I have also reported the issue to my dealership, but the last time I did, they said they didn't see anything when I took it and that it may be the computer and if it happens again bring it in.
Automatic transmission slips into neutral while accelerating at low speeds on 3 separate occasions.
The car seems to keep slipping into neutral while I am driving. If it’s right when pulling away, it shows the drive light is lit up, I am able to accelerate a little bit, and then I suddenly hear the loud rev of the engine, like when it’s in neutral. And I have to shift it into drive again(all while the light never appeared in neutral, it remained in drive) it’s also happened while already driving. I might stop at a light or stop sign, and when I go to accelerate again to drive away, it will make that same sound and I have to push it back into drive, and the light will remain in drive the whole time. I just purchased this vehicle, used. And it’s starting to make me feel very unsafe on the roads.
Moonroof exploded while driving 70 mph on highway today. Huge explosion then a shatter. Shards of glass were on my dog in the back seat and flew up front where I was driving.
I was driving on I-5 (nighttime) when the engine suddenly lost all power. I was able to pull over to the shoulder, but it was dangerous. The dash displayed something along the lines engine malfunction power decrease.
My backup camera was intermittent and then stopped working. Had extended warranty and got backup camera replaced. Worked for 2 weeks than was intermittent again. Brought back into dealership and was told that it was the wiring harness inside the back tailgate that was the issue. In order to fix the whole back tailgate of my 2021 Rogue sv awd had to be replaced. Camera only works 2% of the time. Nissan won't take care of the problem.
Multiple times when exiting car wash going from neutral to drive, car would not shift into drive. Dealership service department unable to duplicate issue. Brake fully pushed down and vehicle would not shift gear. Caused accident second time it happened. Need assistance with this issue as it is not getting handled due to non-replication by service departments.
Unknown, I had just got off or my 8 hour work shift at 3:30 pm eastern time. I went to my truck/rear hatch to put my stuff in and I notice glass on the ground. I look up and notice 2 holes the size of a soft ball on the bottom right and left corner of my back windshield. The glass was whole back glass was completely shattered. Every time I shut a door on either side of the door more glass shattered from the back windshield. I was park in an area where no cars were within 10 feet of my car the weather was about 80 degrees, we've had much hotter days in va. There is absolutely no explanation for this besides a malfunction in the windshield being used on the vehicles. Upon my own research I have discovered this same incident has happened to many other Nissan owners with the damage to the wind shield looking identical, it the same exact spots.
Navigation system is unreliable and unsafe Nissan verified this and a failure and ordered a new unit 2 years ago and has not arrived and they refuse to fix it it the navigation drops out when driving in the middle of navigation causing a safety hazard and goes blank and I have to do a reset the dealer also has done resets and hasnt fixed it Nissan has acknowledged the problem as there are many problems and dont care if its fixed many times ive had to go to my phone as this has display and system has almost got us killed many times. . . .
Driving down the road at 55 mph moon roof exploded! very loud explosion ! disoriented me! glass fragments everywhere!.
2021 Nissan roge sv. 23621 miles sunroof explode while driving on highway it was glass everywhere. Became a unsafe vehicle for my kids. Dealer ship mike edman Nissan horrible customer service will do anithing to no cover the guarantee and face the problem. 7 calls to Nissan customer affairs never contact me.
First I had the leak which there was a TSB on due to the clips on the roof rack not being sealed properly. Had the clips replaced and resealed only to have 2 days later the leak back. For me it was the drivers side c pillar and drivers side hatch area. Took back & was told also have a faulty sunroof & sunroof seal. So now sunroof, seal & headliner also being replaced. There are tons online reporting the leaking issue. This needs to be fixed & changed to a recall!!! we should not be worried about having leaking on a brand new car and soaked headliners & pillars.
I have the roof leak, infotainment issues, a rattle in my dash.
While I was driving my back window exploded. Nothing hit me, and there was no cars behind me. The entire window just shattered.
2021 Nissan Rogue. Consumer writes in regards to strange noise coming from vehicle. The consumer stated the parts necessary for the repair were on back order. The consumer stated the dealer excceded a reasonable amount of time repairing the vehicle.
The keys locked in the car, the car should not lock if the keys are inside.
My new 2021 Rogue sport does not always excellarate, especially on u turns or wait I g to make a turn. I have had the car less than 3 months and near afraid to drive it. It almost does one or more of these when out driving. I mentioned it to the dealership and they say it has a break in point and I needed to drive it for at least 1500 miles. It just went over 1000 miles.
This vehicle was purchased new without disclosure of any recalls. When I checked the VIN a few months ago it showed as haveing 5 recalls, some of them major. When I checked recently it showed as having o unfixed recalls. The dealer never fixed the recalls and is running me around to even schedule. I didn’t think they could sell new cars with open recalls?.
I got a brand new 2021 Nissan Rogue. My window exploded outward. I just got to work oneday. I'm the only person in the parking lot. I'm sitting in my driver and 15 minutes later boom. On the Nissan forum site there are several more 2021 Rogue rear windows blows up. I borrowed the money to pay to get it fixed for $500. The dealership wanted to keep the car for days to do and investigation to see why it cracked. They would not offer me a loaner car need to drive to work. The warranty would have paid for window but no loaner car to drive so I had to pay out of pocket so I could get back to work. Nissan corporate will not reimburse me for the money for the window and my trunks carpet that still needs to be detailed because of small glass I can't remove from the carpet.
A pillar water leak on both driver and passenger side leaking into vehicle, noticeable water damage, possible sunroof drain or roof rail issue. Appears to be a known issue to dealer but blame user error for using car washes.
When we added gas, locked pump in gas door, when full it didn’t kick off. The gas ran out inside to the wheel well creating a fire hazard, I took it in for my first servicing and they couldn’t find a problem (I attached a copy of a recall for this years Rogue for this problem). 09-28-21, my 2021 (3,200 miles)Nissan Rogue stalled at the light, it wouldn’t restart and we had to push it out of traffic. Nissan has been sued and recalled the transmission for all there models, I filed a complaint over my Nissan altima having delayed excel-oration as complaints and with repeated class action suits known to Nissan. Nissan continues to put falty transmissions in there vehicles endangering lives.
