The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at 50 mph, she heard a chime and then the vehicle's forward collision brake system independently engaged. The contact stated that his oldest son did not see anything in front of the vehicle. The contact stated that his wife said the vehicle pulled sharply to the right and drove down an embankment and onto a property. The contact stated that the vehicle crashed head-on into a stack of railroad ties. All of the air bags had deployed. The contact stated that both his wife and oldest son were shaken but had minor injuries, mostly bruises on their shoulders and waists from the seat belts and abrasions on their hands and foreheads from the air bags. The contact said that there was a hole in the windshield on the driver's side that had sent glass fragments into his wife's scalp and feet, but no major lacerations. The contact stated that his youngest son, who was seated behind the older brother, had not suffered any severe injuries. The contact stated that his wife was transported to the emergency room and that both sons were treated on site but not transported. The state police arrived and filed a report, but the contact did not have the report number. The vehicle's front end was crushed to the wheel wells. The contact stated that the driver's side front and rear axles were fractured, and both tires had blown out. The vehicle was towed to an impound lot. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The contact stated that prior to the accident, the vehicle's motor had been replaced in June of 2025. The failure mileage was approximately 65,500.
The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30 mph the message "engine failure, no power, service immediately" had displayed and the vehicle stalled. Moments later the engine was restarted and the vehicle operated as normal. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the forward distance sensor had failed which caused the vehicle to stall and the sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 4,200.
