The contact stated that after loading items into the vehicle through the front passenger’s side, the door was closed, and the contact heard a loud sound of a glass shattering. Upon inspecting the vehicle, the contact discovered that the rear glass had shattered. The contact immediately called the dealer, and was referred to the collision center, which could temporarily tape the glass until the glass was replaced. The contact stated that after the glass was taped with plastic, the plastic popped out after closing the doors. The vehicle was taken to another independent mechanic, where the window was replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 800.
