After a panic stop which activates the abs system, this vehicle is unresponsive to throttle input for an excessive period of time (10 seconds or more). This has been demonstrated to the dealer and a new, similar vehicle showed the same performance. The dealer indicates it must be inherent with the vehicle, no fix is available from Nissan. This unresponsiveness after a panic stop is un-safe.
I have a Nissan rouge 2008 with 58k, me and wife were driving in the mountains, between denver and dillon, colorado , when the car just suddenly stalled without any warning, car stop accelerating speed drop from 65 to 35 in 30 seconds we almost got hit by truck behinde us it took me 10 minutes to resume driving and 30 minute late that happen again and we had to pull over onto the shoulder of the road. After spending about an hour on the shoulder, it would resume driving normallyin . The dealer can't find problems.
This is the second time in three weeks this has happened. While driving the engine shut off due to running out of gas. The problem being that the gas gauge said I had over 1/4 tank of gas left. I had called the dealer to find out what could be wrong and I was told it may be the fuel sending unit or the actual gas gauge that's faulty. I've read that other individuals have been experiencing issues with the Nissan Rogue's gas gauge.
I take my car a lot of times to the dealer for the tires light sensor they turn it off and ass soon I drive the car the light comes out again that happened like 5 times till they say the car has a recall. . . . . .
Over the weekend of October 16th, I drove my 2010 Nissan Rogue from MD to williamsburg, va and back. My family was almost killed in a car crash because the Nissan Rogue failed to properly accelerate on a busy intersection. For the rest of the weekend it failed to accelerate a total of 4 more times coming from a complete stop. If I drive the car for more than 2 hours on highway and come to a complete stop, the car will not accelerate properly, it takes about 5-6 seconds to reach a speed of about 10mph. The next day, the vehicle was working fine. I took the vehicle to the Nissan dealer and they could not duplicate the problem. They were not getting any codes from the computer. They kept the vehicle overnight and had a technician drive it back and forth from work to home and back to work but they could not duplicate the problem. After checking the odometer, the computer’s mph average speed and the area where the car was driven, turns out that the vehicle was not driven on highway for more than 2 hours, it was stop and go driving. The vehicle has to be driven on highway continuously for more than 2 hours for this problem to occur. This is a serious safety hazard. I never know if my family will loose their lives on the next busy intersection. There are many reports on the internet about this problem taking place al over the nation. Nissan has not posted any bulletins or recalls in this matter but something has to be done now before there is a casualty on the road. Do we have to wait for someone to die before Nissan acknowledges that there is a serious problem?.
I purchased a 2009 Nissan Rogue. Approximately 3 weeks ago (1/7/10) the drivers side door handle broke. I was unable to enter my vehicle through the drivers side. The door opens from the inside, but I can't open the vehicle from the outside. I went to kingston Nissan, in kingston, NY 12401 and advised them of the problem. A mechanic looked at my vehicle and advised me that a new handle was needed. I thought this type of part could be easily fixed, but I was wrong. As of today, (1/28/10) my vehicle has not been fixed. Kingston Nissan service department advised me that they can not find a replacement part and that the part(s) are coming from japan and would arrive until February 7th, 2010. I must wait over a month to get my vehicle fixed. In the meantime, the only way to access my vehicle is by using the passenger side door and climb over the seats. If I were physically unable to climb over the seats, I would not be able to operate my vehicle. Fortunately, I am able, but if a person was not, they would either have to rent a vehicle or use some other means of transportation. I find this problem inexcusable. A simple door handle part must be sent from japan to fix this problem. Please assist me in finding a better solution. Also, I have recently received several recalls on my vehicle. I feel that Nissan is providing inadequate service to its customers and maybe supplying inadequate vehicles and potentially unsafe vehicles to the american public. Thank you for your time.
