Car Stall problems of the 2000 Nissan Sentra

The contact owns a 2000 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that the engine light illuminated then the vehicle jerked and stalled. The contact also stated that the failure recurred several times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostics. The technician stated that the engine oxygen sensor had failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure and current mileage was 55,000.

While driving 50 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The consumer tried to restart the vehicle and was able to do so. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection. Please provide further details.

After starting the vehicle, it intermittently stalled. The dealership informed the consumer that the problem pertained to the computer. The problem was not resolved. Recall# 01v357000. The problem was supposed to have been fixed.

Consumer experienced the defect as stated in the recall pertaining to the "check engine" light illuminating. The recall was for a defective engine control module (ecm) which may cause the vehicle to stall while driving.

While driving 60 mph the vehicle stalled intermittently. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where the technician replaced the crank shaft sensor. Please provide any additional information.

Consumer states that while driving and with no warning vehicle will stall, and it will be hard for the consumer to control the vehicle. Dealer notified.

There is recall 01v35700 for stalling . Consumer took vehicle to dealership for recall repairs, but the remedy did not work, problem still occurs.

While driving 60 mph vehicle stalled. Dealer indicated that the engine sensor failed. A recall was issued. However, this vehicle was not included in the recall due to VIN.

Vehicle had been stalling unexpectedly for the past 10 months. Vehicle has been in the service department 7 times and the problem has gone unresolved.
