When I was driving the engine shut off. I could barley turn the steering wheel nor could I brake. I can usually start it right up again but most time's I have to wait a few minute's before it will. This started to happen about a month ago and it seems it's becoming more frequent. The vehical seems to lack power at time's. There is usually no warning it just shuts off, however sometimes it will begine to cut out then usually dies at low speeds. The engine light came on when this started happening and is still on. I've yet to fix the vehical but did find out that it may be the crankshaft possition sensor.
I have a 2003 Nissan Sentra xe that only have approx. 54,187 miles. There was a recall on Nissan Sentra from 2000until 2003. Nissan says that my car is not in that recall but it has the same problems the recall cars has. They refuse to fix this dangerous problems. The car crank sensor and throttle service is in that recall but they said it did not matter. This problem will cause many problems, whereas the car will not start and the car could also stop while driving which will cause a major accident while driving that could hurt or kill many people. The codes po335 and po462 and the throttle are all in the recall. All Nissan buyer should be aware of this problem. This is an added expense on me and I am unemployed and a senior citizen. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I was stranded for over two hours alone .
2003 Nissan Sentra had a recall on a sensor, took to the dealership they said it was fine they didn't replace it. Three weeks later the car stop running while my son was driving it, we had it taken to the shop and the sensor was the problem it cost me 340. 00. Two yrs later the sensor is acting up again so I'm going to have to fix it again it will cost another 340. 00.
