2 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 06/18/2019

Transmission; I have had to change the cvt transmission on my Nissan Sentra twice in the space of a year. Before the last change I suffered a transmission leak that entailed me adding fluid when a whining noise starts. Steering; power steering is hard and does not move with ease unlike other cars I have driven. Speedometer; speed is inaccurate. I got speeding tickets because my speedometer did not accurately depict my speed. It was wrong and off by ~5 mph when speed started to exceed 20mph.

While driving on a city street, my 2007 Nissan Sentra lost power three times. All warning signal lights illuminated on the dash each time. 4 Vehicle Speed Control problem

My car transmission is under warranty but dealership would not fix it, they say purple fluid is not Nissan certified but I have proof that transmission fluid was never changed, it seems coolant has contaminated the transmission fluid.

5 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2009

The contact owns a 2007 Nissan Sentra. While accelerating from a stop, the vehicle accelerated at a high speed on its own. The vehicle struck a fence, crashed into and removed the side rear of another vehicle, and drove over a sidewalk. None of the air bags deployed and there were no injuries. The contact pumped the brakes, but nothing happened. The vehicle began to slow down and the contact turned off the engine and engaged the parking brake. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an auto body shop. The insurance company diagnosed the vehicle. The dealer stated that they never heard of this type of failure and was very interested in the matter because they want their products to be safe. There are no recalls for this vehicle; however, NHTSA campaign id number 08v311000 (service brakes, hydraulic:foundation components:master cylinder) was referenced. The vehicle is currently at the auto body shop. The dealer stated that Nissan will not get involved with inspecting the vehicle. Both side mirrors were removed, the widnshield was damaged, and the front fender was hanging. The failure and current mileages were 25,000.

6 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 08/03/2007

My son bought a 2007 Nissan Sentra s on July 27, 2007. This vehicle has broke down on 08/03/07, 08/07/07, 08/10/00 and as of today it is still at a Nissan dealer. The problem with this vehicle is that three times the while driving along for no reason it the car speed drops to 5 mph. The first time it happened was at development and no other traffic. When this happened the car would only go 5 mph. No faster. The second time this happened my son had two clients in the car and was able to get off the highway. The third time this happened my son and I were returning home. We were traveling up a two lane road with many vehicles going both ways, as we got half way up the hill this happened again. We had no place to pull off and almost go hit from behind. Thank god the driver was able to get around us. We had to put the 4 ways on and was only able to go 5 mph to the top of the hill. Still with no place to pull off the road I told my son to drift the car down the hill into our home town. My son drives this car on interstate highways every day to go to work if this happens on that highway while everyone is going 65 mph he is not going to time to get off the road. I have contacted Nissan and complained and they told me they will fix the problem that was the second time it broke down. I fell this car is unsafe to be on any highway.
