1 Tire Pressure Monitoring System problem

Failure Date: 02/10/2011

The contact owns a 2009 Nissan Sentra. When the contact started the ignition, the tire pressure monitoring system illuminated a low pressure reading on the instrument panel. The front driver's side tire was properly inflated and the warning indicator no longer illuminated. On a separate occasion the identical failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the tire pressure monitoring system sensor was replaced. The failure recurred two additional times and each time the tire pressure monitoring system sensor was replaced. The manufacturer was not notified of the repeated failures. The approximate failure mileage was 34,000.

2 Tire Pressure Monitoring System problem

Failure Date: 11/09/2009

The tire pressure warning light came on three times in a three week period. I added air the first two times and the light went off. I did not add air, but went to the dealer on the third occasion. The service writer said that the tire pressures were low, that air was added and the warning light was reset. Tires are oem bridgestone turanza 205/55-16 on a 2009 Nissan Sentra.
