general problems of the 2010 Nissan Sentra

While I was driving the dash lights started flickering and it started making a humming noise then the steering wheel locked up to the right and it did this twice and I almost crashed.

Nissan Sentra 2010 cvt transmission having problems all time and when goes to hill become weakpower to go up . I always give good service for cvt transmission ,but why Nissan doesn't fix problem for years and I did call them factory , they said to you pass mileages for your transmission , we can't help you. Wow I not very happy this company,. Please let know I needs do and thank you.

I always give good service for transmission ,but why Nissan doesn't fix problem for years and I did call them factory , my airbag light is on but when I take it to do service at the Nissan they cant fix the issue since is a mechanical defective problem, this is a major safety issue. If involved in an accident my airbag wont get deployed. .

After 4 days of not driving my car, my car will not start. This happens every time I don't drive my car, (the four days). I have to jump start my car. I have bought new batteries. I have had my alternator checked.

Car will stop accelerating no matter how much you step on the gas pedal. When this occurs car won't go over 45-50 mph. Has happened on 3 different occasions, on the highway, and usually �corrects� itself when I'm able to pull over and turn off the engine.

Different times on highway and on street driving my car is in gear, when you start to use the brake to slow down the car turns off ,you have to come to a complete stop and put it back in park then restart, it turns back on. My mechanic does not no what is wrong.

Takata recall airbags and sensors.

"takata recall"the vehicle was working perfectly since 04/14/2016 until 08/20/2016 I drove the vehicle for 30 minutes then I park it at my place, and the next day I try to start it and was completely dead. It just had the airbag light. I replaced the battery for a new one, it started again. I went for a drive for 1 hour and when I stop at the car wash place to vacuum my car it didn't start at all, acting the same way as the day before. It was completely dead.

Power door locks failed at the same time. Drivers and passenger complete fail, rear work intermentely. Safety and theft issue.

This is the second time the battery is leaking. About a year ago my battery was leaking badly and I had to replace it. On Friday my husband was checking the oil and he saw the battery leak again. It looked like it was corroded. He cleaned but it is still leaking.

Two weeks prior to 5/10/15, my muffler was making some noises. Sounded like I may have had a hole in my muffler. On Sunday morning on 5/10/15, I was driving home from virginia and did not notice anything until I stopped for gas in maryland. My muffler was making loud noises like a truck and the whole bottom of the car started vibrating. Was extremely embarrassing. I immediately went to a muffler shop and was told by the technician that he has seen this same problem recently on Sentra's and some of your other vehicles, where the muffler splits at the flang and the whole system had to be replaced because of rust. I always keep my vehicles for a very long time and have never seen this problem before. I was charged $524. 51 for a whole new system. The technician said that he was surprised that Nissan did not have a recall for this problem. I don't think that this is normal wear and tear on a muffler system, so there has to be something that Nissan can do. I don't believe that I should be responsible for paying for this repair. I also had an oil change about two weeks before this happened at my Nissan dealership and I can't believe that they didn't see that my muffler was seriously rusted. Anything you can do to help me out with this problem would be greatly appreciated. +.

As I was driving I noticed a shaking noise coming from beneath my car. The exhaust gasket had rusted and my muffler was hanging from a bolt.

In certain situations, foot/shoe may cause trim panel to the right of gas pedal to became dislodged, thus inhibiting acceleration/deceleration and creating a dangerous situation. Fasteners for trim panel appear to fail and/or are loose.

When I am driving on the expressway I can't pick up speed. I can have the peddle all the way down and it will not pick up speed. It has slowed down and I have had to pull to the side of the expressway. The most recent incident was may 3rd. I took to the shop and got a code p0744. Check engine light was on. I was told that I need a new transmission.

The first incident I was reversing out of spot and the engine just shut off, I had no control of gas however lights and dashboard errors were displayed. I put car in park, turned ignition off and tried to start up car with success . So I thought maybe something strange happened and I went on with my life. Over the next few years this kept happening months even years apart at the strangest times. For example the most recent time it happened I had stopped at a stop sign and when starting to accelerate the car just shut off like it has so many times . By now I started thinking maybe this is more than a coincidence and actually saw a recall online for the same problem. Only this time the car wouldn't start back up. I had it towed to Nissan and told them my suspicions on the recall and I get a call back a few days later saying I need a new engine and they can't check the electrical recall bc they can't start the car . What do I do now!?.
