It was 108 degree outside at 4:30 pm in the zip code of 89052. At a sloped intersection on a major street I stopped for the light. When the light turned green I tried to accelerate the car, it failed to accelerate, the break did not function, and the steering was difficult. The car stalled. The car started rolling downhill. I was able to turn the car to the next street ~20 yards down the intersection. The street had no slope and no other cars at the time. The car eventually stopped. But that was a dangerous incident and it could be much worse.
While driving, my car continues to jerk and jerk as I tried to give the car gas. It would sputter and then all of a sudden jump really quick. It finally got to the point where I got stuck at two lights! I finally got my destination and got stuck on the hill. My foot was all the way on the gas pedal and some kind gentlemen pushed my car up the hill so I could park it. It's very scary as I had my two children in the car with me and for something like this to happen it puts all of our lives in danger. I was driving on a major intersection when this happened. Any time o would come to a stop it would stall and it would now allow me to turn. The acceleration would not work. I had to cut the car off twice to try and see if it would restart and give me enough push to my destination. But as stated my foot was completely on the gas and it would not go over 5 mph!.
Brakes go out easy/bottom of car is a total mess and non stop problems.
Tl the contact owns a 2013 Nissan Sentra. While driving various speeds, the brake pedal traveled to the floorboard without warning once depressed. The contact scheduled an appointment with kelly Nissan of lynnfield (275 broadway, lynnfield, MA 01940, (866)-726-4450). The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that, if there was a failure, financial assistance could possibly assist. The failure mileage was 33,200.
When driving my car on the highway or city streets, I lose speed and can't use pedal to accelerate to pick up any speed. Car won't go pass 20 mph.
Brakes have unusually long pedal travel coming to a full stop. After coming to a full stop, additional pressure is required to keep the car from drifting forward. Incident happens repeatedly. We purchased the car used, with a rebuilt title. I had the brakes checked at a garage, and had the lines bled to make sure there was no air in the lines. There are no warning lights indicating a problem with the brakes.
While attempting braking and braking the car stalls. All lights turn on and vehicle dies. Sometimes restarts after stall other times it takes awhile to restart while on the roads. This a safety hazard! it is currently parked not functioning properly.
I went to stop at a traffic light and I was unable to deploy the brakes. The car started to roll forward, I then tried slamming on the brakes, but the car accelerated through the intersection and I ended up crashing the car.

Consumers affairs website says enough multiple issues from all across the world.
The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Sentra. While the brake pedal was depressed, the vehicle failed to come to a complete stop. The contact had to exert additional pressure to the brake pedal to stop the vehicle. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 65,000.
Been driving the car and notice I was hearing a bad roaring noise soon I heard a loud pop in the back of the car and went to look at the drum on passenger side the adjusters screw had completely broke in peace 94k miles been doing this noise on and off and transmission has tendency to feel like it starts to really hesitate badly.
The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Sentra. While driving at an unknown speed and attempting to engage the brakes, the brake pedal sank to the floor. As a result, the contact crashed into another vehicle. The seat belt failed to retract. A police report was filed. The contact sustained bruises and contusions that did not require medical attention. The vehicle was towed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The failure mileage was 22,000.
While in motion, an odd "creaking" noise was emitting from the rear passenger wheel. This noise, while similar, was not the same as ntb-13-031a, as the fix for that TSB had been done already. The noise was reported, and the technician found that the hardware for the rear brake had been completely destroyed. It was stated that the pad was not housed and was essentially sideways. Because of this, there was effectively 0% braking occurring on the rear passenger wheel. The dealer replaced the the entire rear braking mechanism on the passenger side. This issue occurred at approximately 36,000 miles.
The contact owned a 2013 Nissan Sentra. While the contact's son was driving approximately 30 mph, the brake pedal extended to the floorboard when it was depressed. As a result, the contact's vehicle crashed into the rear of the preceding vehicle. The air bags did not deploy and there was no warning indicator. The driver sustained minor cuts that did not require medical attention. A police report was filed. Both vehicles were towed to a tow yard. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 25,853.
I was coming up to a stop sign when I pressed my brakes and they descended all the way to the floor with very little resistance. I pumped the brakes in order to stop the vehicle. I continued to drive and was making a left turn at about 5-10mph when I applied the brakes again to slow the vehicle when the brakes gave little resistance and I had to pump the brakes again. As I was pulled up to my parking spot the issue occurred again. This was a sudden change as I was driving the vehicle about an hour beforehand with no issues.
I have a 2013 Nissan Sentra with 23442 miles. Approximately 2-3 months ago, my brake pedal started acting weird. When I slow down to stop or when traffic is slow and I have to constantly step on my brake, the brake pedal looses pressure and goes further down. I had to pump the brake to regain pressure. It came to the point where I had to adjust and bring my seat forward because I'm tip toeing when I brake. Also, when I'm on full stop, after few seconds the brake pedal starts going down. Took my car to the dealership twice to have it checked and they told me its normal and everything is working as it suppose to be. But I still don't think its normal for my car to do that. I hope Nissan pays attention to this issue and do something to fix it.
While driving home from work I experienced problems with my brakes. I would press the brake pedal to slow down but there would be little pressure and before I know it I have the pedal to the floor and it eventually slows down and stops. This has become a constant problem and very dangerous because I can't get the car to stop right away. I read online that other 2013 Nissan Sentra owners are having the exact same problem. I would ask you to please investigate this and please contact me with any questions.
Brakes appear to be making a weird creaking noise and barely stopping, when going downhill I almost have to put on my emergency brakes. This has never happened before.
After attempting to accelerate from stop at a stop sign, the Sentra would not accelerate higher than about 10 mph. I pushed the gas pedal to the floor, and still no acceleration. After a minute or so, it went back to normal. Over the course of an hour long drive, this happened at least 5 times. Abs indicator also came on when pushing the brake. Vdc and slip lights came on and stayed on for about half an hour. It will perform normally for a day or two. Then start malfunctioned at random. Two attempts have been made at the dealership to fix it according to diagnostic test which indicated the "brake switch code". Brake switch replaced and vehicle performed normally for two days the performed worse than before part was changed.
The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Sentra. While driving approximately 45 mph, the brake pedal was depressed and a squealing noise emitted outside of the vehicle. The failure recurred whenever applying the brakes. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 3,555.
This is the third (3) time it happen, no breakes going down my steep driveway. I live in a neighaborhood with many hills and it has come to my attention the breakes do not function properly going down a steep hill. My speed was no more than 4mph when break failure.
About a few hours after I signed the paperwork and drove off of the lot with my certified pre-owned vehicle, I heard a grinding sound (rear brakes). I took it back to the dealer that day and they claimed that there was probably debri due to the snow and sand on the roads. I didn't hear the sound again until March, when I took it to the service center at the dealership for an oil change. I had them check the brakes and they told me it was something ball bearings, or something like that. Bottom line, it didn't solve the problem. I took the car back to the dealership in may, with the same issue and they replaced the brake "kit. " they told me that I shouldn't have anymore problems. I, in fact, did have the same problem again. June 1st I took the car to the dealership again for a brake issue, they took the rear system apart including the wheels, etc. They said that they could not find anything wrong, and to bring it back if I heard the noise again. Well, today, I drove the car and the grinding in the brakes is worse than I've ever heard it before. I have an appointment with dealer tomorrow, to see if they can get it right this time. My frustration level is at an all time high. I'm annoyed with the sound and I am sure everyone around me who has to hear it, but I am also concerned about the safety of my family when we are in the vehicle.
Strong pulsation in brake system when pedal is depressed for a time period at stop light. Stronger pulsation if wheel is turned to make a turn at a light while pedal is depressed. The aforementioned happens when vehicle is at rest at a light or in reverse and brakes are appiled . Also pedal must be pumped to stop car and brakes seem to catch and then release and catch again when stopping ,this caused me to have to pump brakes to stop car. This happens when car is in motion on street . This Nissan has had both these problems since 20,000 miles approx.
I was in a parking lot when I pressed the brake petal. The brake petal went to the floor with no resistance. Also the car did not begin to stop. I had to pump the brakes in order to notice "normal" operation. This has happened 3 times. I am worried it will happen at a higher rate of speed causing a major accident due to inoperable brakes.
Brake pedal travels to floor brake responce is almost non responcive. Pumpming helps.
Driving home on long island expressway after work, it was rush hour, the traffic move slow. One exit before I should get off high way, noticed something different when stepped on brakes, it was loose, there was no resistance and the car didn't respond, either took long time to slow down a little bit or not slow down. I have no experiences at all and it didn't register in my head it was the brakes, I even thought maybe I was too tired and my judgement was off. I continued driving in the very slow traffic. Soon at the exit, I had to pick up the speed a little bit to merge into the service road. Then I really realized the brakes not working, because I can't stop the car at the intersection traffic light, the light turn orange at the moment, I had no choice, turned left , the car continued and slowed down a little bit, just wondering what to do at the next intersection , the left turn signal light was on and I turned the car to the left onto the service road again. I was close to home already. At that moment I didn't know what to do, thinking if I can't stop the car at least I should keep it at very low speed , approximately less than 5 miles. At the next traffic light, the car managed to stop. I didn't know if it was because it was already at the lowest speed and stopped naturally or the brakes still had a little control. For the whole time , since I was very scared and panic, I never realized I should forced the car stop with the emergency hand control brake or just switched to parking position. After I passed the traffic light, I remembered and pulled over on the side of the road and parked my car. Then I called geico insurance and aaa to have my car towed to the nearest Nissan service center. It all happened between 5:30-7:30 pm. The Nissan service center already closed the business hour.
While supposedly "stopped" at a red light, I realized I was rolling forward with the brake depressed. I pressed the brake pedal to the floor and the car stopped. When I accelerated ever so slightly, the car bucked and jolted forward. I slowed to a stopped with barely there brakes, put the car in park and pumped up the brakes, raising the pedal. This seemed to temporarily help, but the pedal went to the floor again the next time attempted to stop. Car is at the dealership now. I am awaiting their call.
I was traveling on ventura blvd. At a normal speed of traffic when someone abruptly stopped in front of me. This happened in encino, CA. On January 8, 2014. The car literally after applying the brakes, kept going and there was no difference between me applying the brakes or not. I could not believe it! it totalled my car, and the person whom I hit have had neck/back injuries! I am lucky to be alive since the weakest crash test was the front end, driver side!! I was injured too my knee swelled and my hand was swollen. When I addressed this to Nissan, there was no response.
I only had my car for about 10 months. I keep my car updated with the maintenance. I drove to las vegas, nevada Friday afternoon. My car was running great I get to las vegas nevada I here this loud grinding crinkly noise coming from my engine or transmission. I take it to planet Nissan in las vegas nevada. They took forever to even take me as a customer. Then they come out and say you are not eligible for a rental and your transmission went out. They proceeded to tell me that I will be responsible for the car as far as picking it up when its fixed. This is the worst experience I had with cars. This is the third time something bad happens to this car and its supposed to be brand new. I bought it with 32 miles on it. Mind you all this was on a trip I took to vegas with my family. My two year old son was drained from this experience having to spend 6 hours at planet Nissan. They even try selling me a another new Sentra.
The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Sentra. The contact was driving approximately 20 mph and crashed into a deer. The contact stated that the brakes were applied but did not respond. The vehicle sustained body damage as a result of the crash. There were no injuries and a police report was not filed. The vehicle was not taken for inspection of the braking failure or repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 21,000.
Ever since the vehicle was purchased I have experienced issues with the brakes, every time I come to a stop and press the brake after a few seconds the car starts moving and the brake pedal looses pressure and I have to push my foot further than normal, eventually my foot touches the floor of the vehicle and I can't push the brake any further, so I have to tap the gas and then re-engage the brake again. This is very dangerous if you are going downhill and come to a stop. I have taken my car numerous times, that it's getting to the point that its become an inconvenience to actually own the car, to the service department of the Nissan I purchased (Nissan of bergenfield in new jersey) and they have said nothing is wrong with the car, they looked at the brakes and even applied more pressure on the lines but still the issue persists. I don't understand how a company that values safety would allow their clients to be driving vehicles with this fault. I'm not sure what they are waiting for in order for them to realize that this is not safe by any means, specially for my family who I have to drive and pick up to and from work. I have also spoken with the dealership but have yet to come to a resolution. If you can please open an investigation regarding this matter. Please contact me for any information you may need.

Issue1: the occupant classification system (OCS) software incorrectly classify the passenger seat as empty, when it is occupied by an adult. This is happening when the vehicle is in motion or stationary. This life-threatening problem substantially impairs the use and value of my vehicle and also it creates a serious safety hazard. I have been harassed by the local dealer due to their repeated ineffective attempts to fix this issue. Issue2: groaning sound from brakes when driving downhill. Local dealer couldn't able to fix this issue.
I was driving back from el cajon, CA on the 52 when I was going down the hill I was hearing this loud grinding crackling noise from the rear brakes. The noise still to this day is getting louder and louder. I took my car to the Nissan services to check it out. They had a mechanic drive with me to here the noise. When we were driving he said there was no noise. So the service adviser came to me tell me there's nothing they can do if the noise was not confirmed by the mechanic. So I call my boyfriend and tell him to explain the noise we've been hearing. They do another test drive and the mechanic confirms that there's noise in the rear brakes. I asked for a rental car. The adviser just said there's no way Nissan's gonna pay for a rental because I feel unsafe. I mentioned to him that I don't feel safe driving the car because I basically go everywhere with my son in my car. He said he will order parts and get in contact with me when they come in.
