general problems of the 2014 Nissan Sentra

On 6/22/25, I was in a side-impact collision while turning into a gas station. A driver waved me through, but another car came rushing through the outer lane and hit the front passenger side of my 2014 Nissan Sentra. The OCS system is designed to only deploy the front passenger airbag when the front passenger seat is occupied by an adult. In the affected vehicles, the OCS software may incorrectly classify the passenger seat as empty when it is occupied by an adult. If the OCS does not detect an adult occupant, the passenger airbag would be deactivated. Additionally, if a child restraint system (crs) is installed in the front passenger seat (Nissan instructions advises against this), in certain rare instances, the seat belt bracket could deform and the air bag may not deactivate as designed. This may increase the risk of an injury to a child sitting in a crs installed in the front seat.

When driving the vehicle I noticed a noise while accelerating. When I turned the wheel while accelerating it got louder and struggled to move ive only had the vehicle for three years. I had called the dealer to ask about my warrenty. They had told me that I was over my milage. So then I took it to amco to get it serviced and I find out the transmission had issues spent 2800. One year later I'm having other issues with the transmission. I'm not the only complainting about this there are other vehicles having cvt issues. I cant afford to put more money into this vehicle. Almost done paying it off but having another issue I just want to get rid of this vehicle. Please help!!!.

Passenger air bag is stuck in off mode - this is same issue as recall 15v681000 but Nissan insist this vehicle is fine and does not have this issue - they are very incorrect.

The tire pressure light has been going on and off for over 4 months. I also got a paper notice onto my house saying the airbags for one or a few of our cars had a recall. I checked online and my car was one of them.

Airbag passenger light comes on randomly and stays on from seconds to minutes. At times the passenger seatbelt light comes on also. In addition, had brakes inspected by dealer only had the car 3 months dealer states the brakes are fine but they keep making noise. Car max did not mention any recalls to me on air bags car has 18,700 miles.

While traveling in glendale, utah in June 2015, I lost control of the vehicle. Being dazed and injured at that time I was unsure what happened. No other vehicle involved. I was within speed limit. No alcohol or drugs here. It was a dry day early afternoon. The last I recall was the airbag inflating in my face, the vehicle was totaled.

Sometimes when the passenger seat is empty the passenger airbag is turned off. When a passenger then enters the car it does not turn the airbag on. The only way to correct this is to turn the car off and back on. This only happens when the passenger enters the car while it is still running. If you start the car with the passenger already in the seat the system works properly. This happens almost everyday. The Nissan dealership says this is known issue but does not know how to fix it. I know there was a recall for this issue, but my car is not on that recall.

Today 10/14/2014 passenger air bag fails to activate while passenger on board. L video record to incident. So manufacturers reprogram fail to fix the issu. Current milage 4,992 mile on the odometer.
