The tail light on the drivers rear has condensation. Therefore, my brake lights flicker. When putting the parking lights/headlights on, the power to the gas pedal is cut. Rpms go down and the car simply does not have power to accelerate.
The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated while driving 35-65 mph, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle was slow to respond and to stop. The brake pedal was depressed to the floorboard. The contact stated that the engine, traction control, and abs warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the brakes needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the same local dealer where it was diagnosed, and it was determined that the oxygen sensor, rotors, and brake pads needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure persisted. While driving, the vehicle started to stall. The brake pedal was depressed but the vehicle was slow to respond. The manufacturer was contacted and a complaint was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 46,000.
Daughter described pushing break to the bottom /or floor boards while the car slowly began to slow. Yes, the vehicle is currently available for inspection. An impact occurred to daughter which caused bruising and duress. Another vehicle was struck. No, the problem has not been confirmed by a dealer or independent service ctr. No. None that my daughter reported. I had driven the vehicle a few days prior and noticed nothing unusual upon breaking.
2014 Nissan Sentra -my abs system light came on failed inspection and had to be replaced. I had 32,322 miles on my car. I am 73 years old and for me to pay out over $1000,00 for a part that should not have failed according to the three certified mechanics. The light appeared the day I took it in to get my inspection sticker. This is so disheartening, to say the least. Other models have been recalled . . . My mechanic said it would be dangerous to drive it . . . I contacted Nissan and all they could say was it's not under warranty and they have no recalls on my year. If you could help or direct me how to get help I would greatly appreciate it.
On 7 occasions over the last month all 4 brakes lock up on the car after 20-30 minutes of warning up in normal traffic. After a period of 2 to 4 hours leaving the car parked and off, the brakes right themself. The Nissan dealer charged me $150 and said they can not figure it out.
My car jerks, slow acceleration, fast acceleration, grinding, slipping of the cvt transmission.
Squeaky brakes.
Extra braking required to come to a stop - this is an intermittent issue but similar to the issue reported for the 2013 versa. The braking required most times to come to a stop from a uniform speed can vary at times so that significantly more effort to stop the vehicle is needed. Example, on my neighbourhood street, approaching the stop sign at 25mph, normally very little braking needs to be applied. At times, we have noticed that a lot more effort is needed to stop the vehicle even at such a low speed. This incident has occurred several times in the 2 months since we've bought the car and would lead to a crash if the braking system does not respond in a uniform way.
The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Sentra. While driving approximately 10 mph, the brake pedal was depressed and failed to stop the vehicle. As a result, the contact crashed into a guardrail, a pole, and another vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. The contact sustained injuries to the shoulder and back that did not require medical attention. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 40,000.
Brakes are very weak for being a light weight vehicle. Stopping power is very underwhelming. Coming to a complete stop even after cruising speeds makes me feel anxious. . . My vehicle only has 10,066 miles on the odometer but the braking power feels very underwhelming for a fairly new low mileage vehicle.
Airbag passenger light comes on randomly and stays on from seconds to minutes. At times the passenger seatbelt light comes on also. In addition, had brakes inspected by dealer only had the car 3 months dealer states the brakes are fine but they keep making noise. Car max did not mention any recalls to me on air bags car has 18,700 miles.
Brakes made horrible groaning noise as I pushed down on the pedal. Vehicle failed to stop in an adequate manner, thus propelling me into the road where I was hit by an oncoming vehicle.
The rear brakes started to make grinding sound only going 5mph without applying any brakes. The noise was very loud so we took it to a car shop immediately for them to inspect and they found that the whole driver side rear drum brakes have completely came apart as the passenger side was close to happening to. They do not know how this would happen. We then took car to Nissan dealer for them to inspect and for warranty possibilities and they came back saying this is. Not covered as they say this is. Ot a defect and have not had any claims regarding this kind of issue and diagnosis was that the car was driving with e brake on but our mpg hasn't changed in anyway. This is very concerning especially for less than 1 yr old car.

When my vehicles slows down and brakes to a stop it begins to shake slightly. The shaking causes the car to hesitate slightly back and forward. In addition, sometimes the break pedals are slow to come back up once I have pressed the brake pedal. The issue is usually seen in the mornings when I am first drive the vehicle and begin to break. I believe Nissan has sold me a lemon vehicle. This a brand new vehicle and I have not had it for more than month.
I was driving straight. I saw a car in front of me, and began to brake. As I depressed the brake pedal as I normally do, the car was not slowing down, so I quickly pressed it further. Finally the car had stopped after the brake pedal was all the way to the floor. I can consistently replicate this issue. I will contact the dealer today.
Randomly my brake pedal goes to the floor with no braking ability. It has happened on several occasions, thank goodness while backing up or parked- have had no braking ability. I took it in the a Nissan dealer ( I had it towed), and they deemed it ok. Infact they said, I would have to pay for the towing, since they had no ticket. In the end I did not pay it. They bled the brakes at the end of the service appointment, for awhile the brakes were fine. But recently it has started again, which I wonder if air is getting in the line somehow or something else is wrong. I called Nissan corp, and their position is that,"trained technicians deemed it ok". Well it is not, and I am going to take it to the dealership where it was leased. It is hard to believe that Nissan corp would take this stance when brakes are involved. The problem is it doesn't do it all the time, but what if I am driving 55 miles an hour and no brakes? what then? I am upset, but I will get to the bottom of this. Thank you.
I have the same issues as described in your investigation "pe14-014. " in addition, while driving the vehicle on a paved road at approximately 45 mph, all of a sudden, it was as if the vehicle took over the steering, causing me to hit a curb. No damage was incurred, however it was very scary. My concern is obvious, what if the vehicle does this again when I am driving on a freeway @ 65 mph? this was not an isolated incident when "the vehicle" hit the curb. The ability to be in control of the steering has been taken over by the car several times. This is a new car and I find it extremely hard to believe I am having all these problems. These are not everyday general maintenance issues. These are major issues which could easily cause a serious accident whereby I would probably be found to be at fault, when the real person at fault is the vehicle manufacturer! this is being documented and saved by me should, god forbid, a serious accident happens. Any direction you may have is appreciated.
Right after buying my Sentra I noticed creeking everytime I would turn then took it in and they replaced the struts. It still creeked after they replaced the struts so they added rubber rings it helped for a few days but its still creeking but every so often. 2 nd my car pulses when coming to a stop and when I release the break as well. 3rd the is a whisling noise that gets louder the faster I go and if its windy its even louder, it sounds like it is on the front left side. My car also shakes roughly time to time. The dealer is now saying they cant hear anything therefor will not fix any of these issues. I called Nissan USA and opened a case she said the same thing, if they cant duplicate the issue they wont fix it, then I was told to by rep to trade it in if I dont like it.
Turned the car on to back out of my driveway. I put the car in reverse and started backing down the driveway. Everything was fine when all of a sudden it seemed as if the car turned off. And the brakes would not work. I tried multiple times to brake and it wouldn't stop. My car went down the driveway which is situated on a hill and hit a utility pole. Once the car bounced off the pole it came to a stop. I placed the car in park and tried to restart the car. It took me 2 times of pushing the start button before the car would start again.
After car had sit over weekend started car and brake peddle went to floor. Car drove fine but after sitting 2-3 hours did same. Dealer says its vacuum bleeding off but after reading about I believe something is needed to be done. Will be back to dealer tomorrow.
Four months after purchase of this vehicle, the brakes go to the floor as if bleeding an old brake system. This happens when car is in reverse or going forward. I have to pump the brake several times to rise the petal up. Brake pressure is always low having to press almost to the floor to stop.
