Cvt transmission failed without any signs that a problem was present or warning of an issue. The vehicle was parked and upon driving it, it made several unexplained noises. The vehicles was stopped and would not move anymore. No prior issues or warnings in driving it up to this inccident. Nissan corporate. Was contacted and they said they could not help replace. The transmission or give any discounts towards the replacement which was $4,000. . Also my local Nissan dealer would not help with financial assistance or a discount. Nissan sent out extended warranties for this issue and knows it it a problem. But will not help you if you are past their warranty.
Why is the transmission giving so many problems and not being taking care of. I am still in warranty time frame but out of miles & now I need a new transmission and nobody can help me. The input shaft bearing is gone bad. I was told these transmission are known for it. But nissian has not recalled yet why? it has been making noise for years and dealer said it was normal, now a different dealer says no you need new transmission.
Extreme noise from transmission at idle, slow to accelerate, car knocks when slowing down and speeding up.
The car sometimes make noises and does not want to accelerate while driving. Weird transmission jerking, hesitation and noises while driving.
Well my nephew was driving home from work and the car started making a grinding noise so he stopped called me to go help him because the car wouldn't go anymore . So the next morning I turned it on immediately you hear grinding so I immediately turn the vehicle off. Checked the transmission pan and it had small pieces of metal in the pan.
My husband was driving our Nissan Sentra 2014 on the highway to go to the airport when suddenly our car was going down the speed to 45 mph. It was dangerous because other cars were going to 65 mph and more. When we arrived in front of the parking lot. The car didn't go anymore. We were stuck on the middle lane and my husband had to push the car with the help of another person to the parking lot. The car smell like some fluids where burning. This was very dangerous situation. I took it to the dealership before about 3 times because I heard a bad noise, but they told me nothing was wrong that the noise was normal. After this incident I took it to the dealership again and said that the transmission is bad, right now is at the dealership getting approval from the corporation to fix it. The corporation and the dealership knew that cvt transmission are defective and they are putting us in danger.
Transmission issue when coming to a yield to take off again the car stalls makes a grounding noise. Then it takes off . You have to come to a complete stop first so that it doesn't hesitate. Does this when turning from yielding.
Driving on city street car started making loud noises an started slowing down. Thankfully I was almost near a friends home an pulled into their yard. Had to b towed to parents home. Transmission was the issue . I was fortunate to know someone near the incident otherwise it could have been really serious on the highwaycost 5000. 00 I'm still paying on car owe 2500. 00, a student, wrk full time no $ to fix, only 101 thousand miles but they will not fix???!! I'm not the only one with said issue with a Nissan and respectfully need the car made correctly.
Driving car when stopped I heard some noise. After continuing the car became very sluggish and did not want to take off on street in front of cars. The car ran very so idling up and down dot to a automotive shop and worker told me it was the transmission. I was driving on a long rural route road. But notice weeks before when I turning it was loosing power but would pick up speed as it should.
Car stalls when driving in the street or freeway takes a long time to reach 20 mph and doesn't go past that transmission makes a rattling noise on 09/01/2019 my transmission gave out and needed to have my car towed home.
I crunk car up after being parked for about 2 hours. The car crunk with a load whining noise from under the hood. It drove for about 5 feet and suddenly would not move. The car was powered on but it would not accelerate. The car had to be towed to the dealer. I was advised that the transmission had "went out" at 68,970. Per my previous complaint id # 11030604, the transmission was replaced on 10/13/17 at 39,851 miles. After receiving service records, I confirmed that the transmission had been replaced at 14,826 miles (date of replacement unavailable). The 2014 Nissan Sentra's cvt transmission is defective. This presents a safety hazard. The vehicle has experienced non driver initiated hesitation, acceleration, slowing down to almost a stop, and stopping while driving. My particulair vehicle's transmission had been replaced at least 3 times at 68,970 miles. The vehicle has been to the repair shop at least 4 times for this same issue (including one time at 39,824 when the cvt control valve assemply was replaced).
Transmission makes loud noise, dealer says it requires replacement. Vehicule has 61,000 miles. It is standard. It starts esporadically in movement but continues when stopped. Then goes away and comes back. Sounds like a can of crackers.
When driving the vehicle I noticed a noise while accelerating. When I turned the wheel while accelerating it got louder and struggled to move ive only had the vehicle for three years. I had called the dealer to ask about my warrenty. They had told me that I was over my milage. So then I took it to amco to get it serviced and I find out the transmission had issues spent 2800. One year later I'm having other issues with the transmission. I'm not the only complainting about this there are other vehicles having cvt issues. I cant afford to put more money into this vehicle. Almost done paying it off but having another issue I just want to get rid of this vehicle. Please help!!!.
About a week ago, my car started making noises when idling, which I thought little of because my car only has around 76,000 miles on it and is well taken care of. Over the next few days, the noise became a full-on rattle (like an amplified version of bike gears grinding). When driving, the car will lurch forward and will jerk even harder when turning. Within the first few minutes of driving each time I use the car, it has no power and feels as if it wants to "pull back" and hinder me from moving forward. I've taken the car to two mechanics and have had the transmission looked over. Both mechanics believe that the transmission is the underlying problem. After researching cvc transmissions on other 2014 Sentras, I've discovered that many other owners have had the same issue with even less mileage than my own car. Many of these Sentra drivers felt unsafe driving their vehicles. I too, feel that continuing to drive my car is a hazard to me and other drivers as the faltering and jerking of the engine are unpredictable which could cause a potential wreck. Nissan Sentra transmissions from 2003-2010 have been recalled to the best of my knowledge, but not for the succeeding years of the same model.
With no event associated, my transmission began to shutter and rattle when I slowed to a near stop, then accelerated. I took it to the dealership when it was still under warranty and asked to have a technician take a ride with me to hear the noise and feel the rattle. The transmission rattled four times as we circled the block. His answer was "that is nothing, some times that happens when the road is wet. " I told him that it happens wet or dry and he again dismissed it as "nothing to worry about. " well it is not 'nothing. ' the shutter/rattle occurs when I slowdown into a turn, then accelerate. Or if I am on a straight-away and brake, then accelerate it will shutter. I have read many complaints that sound too similar to be a coincidence. My wife is affraid to drive the car and I am concerned for our safety.
