Air Bag Light On problems of the 2015 Nissan Sentra

When passengers sit in front seat, intermittently the airbag lights goes on and off. Don't know if the airbag is really going to work when it is supposed to. Taken to dealer and they say nothing wrong, but obviously there is something wrong when 200 pound person sitting there and the airbag says it is turned off. Dealer won't do anything to fix the problem. Tells me the car is safe. I don't feel it is safe and now feel I have to take picture of airbag notification when driving just in case of an accident to protect myself. Shouldn't have to have a vehicle that has safety features that don't work properly. This type of problem occurs whether the car is running or not running when the passenger gets in.

My car had a recall on the passenger seat belt, I took it to the dealer to be fixed and after they did, they told me that the airbag light will stay on until someone over 100 pounds sets there then it will turn off, and they told me that the red seat belt light on the dash board will stay on all the time, and yes I still have this problem with my car, both lights are on all the time and the dealer is not doing anything about it. If my car dose not detect any one hows less than 100 pounds on the passenger side that means my car is not safe at all.

They had a recall about the air bag light indication that it might not deploy in a accident on the passage side. I very concern about this I had it check when they first had the recall but the light is back on. I called the dealer and they can check it today but the time of the appointment I have to be somewhere, so I have to wait and make a appointment. So I called the recall number for Nissan and filed a complain and was given a claims number 24443789 and she said they only do the one recall I very concern about my family safety can you investigate this problem please thank you emily crawford.

Passenger front airbag light does not go off (indicating airbag is on) when passenger sits in seat. This is intermittent problem as it will sometimes go off and sometimes not. Multiple trips to dealer and calls to Nissan customer relations have not resolved issue. Were told on last contact nothing could be done. Passenger weighs 118 lbs. After recall was completed, my passenger airbag light comes on and stays on with no weight on the seat. This happens stationary and moving.

The car is in the shop at the dealer for the airbag recall for the 5th time now the fix was supposed to turn on the airbag when someone sits in the seat. On different occasions the airbag remains off when someone is sitting in the seat while driving this is the second time they're replacing the control module for the airbags they have reset it three different times without success. They gave me a rental car looks to be about the same year make and model it also has issues with the airbag light it's supposed to remain on while no one is in the seat yesterday I videotaped it being off while no one was in the seat they still have not been able to correct this problem and could end up in injury or death if in an accident.

Ocs system. The recall solution is undesirable please give a better solution. I will even pay. The air bag light is on when no one is sitting in the passenger seat and it is a distraction.

The passenger airbag light comes on randomly with/without occupant. Will stay on for periods of 30 minutes at a time. This has happened when car is stationary, in motion, on a city street or a highway, turning, braking, anytime. I only have 1300 miles on the car.

At random the passenger side airbag light will not turn off with a passenger in the seat while the car is being driven . It has stayed on up to 20 miles and as less as around 5 miles . A part to fix it was ordered and installed but did not fix the issue . We took it to another Nissan dealer and they reprogrammed it but that didn't fix it . We ask 2 more times for them to check it stating it's not safe . One dealer said stop and cut car off and then restart . The other dealer said we weren't sitting further enough back in the seat for the sensor and to raise up and slide back . The light issue still isn't solved . We have dealers receipts and we have pictures with the car in motion showing passengers legs , airbag light on and speedometer traveling at highway speeds . We have multiple pictures with different dates . This has been happening since we bought the car new in may 2015 .
