Cvt code p17f4 judder I have not drove 356 miles in the last 2 days.
The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated while accelerating on a busy street, the vehicle stalled in front of an approaching tractor-trailer. The vehicle was restarted, and the contact continued to drive. The contact stated that while the accelerator pedal was depressed, the vehicle decelerated and stalled. The vehicle was hard to shift into gear. There was an abnormal winding sound was detected. The contact stated that the engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who determined that the failure was due to the transmission. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and confirmed that the VIN was not under recall and referred the contact to the local dealer for a diagnostic test. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000.
I have a 2016 Nissan Sentra sv with 103k miles on it. I was driving the car, and noticed at stop sign and red lights the car would strain and hesitate when the accelerator was pressed. It would jerk hard then drive normally. The car would also loose power while driving. It would drop from 65 mph to 20 mph. It has done this numerous of times, and I have to try and maneuver off to the side of the highway to avoid a crash. The check engine light illuminated. The car would sit for a few minutes, accelerate, and drive normal. A few minutes later, the cycle starts again. I would also smell as if something was burning. After taking it to the shop, it was determined it was the cvt which was recalled in 2018 for 2013-2017 Nissan Sentra due to faulty cvt's. However, it is based on your VIN number according to Nissan. I did speak to a representative from Nissan consumer affairs and she stated my VIN number should no recalls!!!! I have this car that is doing everything that granted the recall, but because they did not put my VIN number on their list it doesn't qualify. Several transmission shop has told me they do not attempt to repair the cvt they buy a new transmission from Nissan dealership. The price starts at $5200. God please help!!! the check engine light code was a p2859 issues with the power tran transmission.
My 2016 Nissan Sentra malfunctioned while driving on the highway three separate times. The car suddenly lost its ability to accelerate and seemed to power down while becoming more difficult to steer. It seemed to start shuddering and I thought it may have been a front end flat tire. After pulling off the road and putting the car in park, when I waited a minute or two, I placed the car in drive and there was no problem until a month later and it hppended again except on an interstate while driving over a long bridge. Two different Nissan dealers could not diagnose any issues and kind of threw up theirs hands with no suggestions except to bring it in again if it happens once more. The auto has become hazardous to drive for two seniors, and no one seems to be able to diagnose or fix the issues. I read online about Nissan cvt transmission recalls for these Sentras, but never received any recall notifications.
My engine light came on I had it checked out and found out it was my mass air flow sensor. Is this a normal problem or is it related to the recall under electrical?.
The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated while driving 15 mph, the vehicle started to lose traction control. The check engine warning light illuminated. The contact stated that while attempting to shift gear, the vehicle started making a grinding sound, causing the vehicle to lose motive power. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed with transmission failure. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 170,000.
When driving on interstate or any road of 45 mph or more the transmission? engine? goes up in speed on cruise and tachometer goes up and down and it sounds weird.
I purchased the car as a graduation present for my son in 2018. He was using it to get back and forth to work and school. Currently the car has less than 60,000 miles on it. So, it was not being excessively driven. In Dec her of 2023, he began having issues with the vehicle stalling and overheating. It began to jerk and would randomly lose power. While driving to work the car over heated and we got it to a mechanic on 1/7/24. The independent service center stated the engine needed to be replaced and he would also inspect the transmission due to the loss of power and slipping my son was describing. Once the engine was replaced the mechanic confirmed the transmission would also need to be replaced. My son spent all his savings on the engine so we took the car home to determine options. The quote for a new transmission is 3-4k plus labor. I am too scared to let my son drive the car so it has been parked in my drive way since we got the car back in February of 24. My son has been saving to try and get it fixed. His coworker told him about a class action that was filed against Nissan for the same issue for Sentras from 2013-2017. I was never contacted and never received any recall notice. There were no warning lamps or other symptoms when the issues began. I tried to add the receipt from the engine replacement but it will not upload.
The cvt transmission has a bad shudder while driving and shifting into gears. It jerks when trying to accelerate and is extremely slow trying to accelerate the vehicle. The safety of me and other vehicles were in danger because the vehicle failed to accelerate when going up an incline or just driving down an even lane road with no inclines or hills. The vehicle has been inspected by a certified auto repair shop and after inspection, I was told that the cvt transmission needs to be replaced. The first instance of trouble happened on June 7th, 2023 while I was driving to work. The check engine light came on and the accelerator was hesitant. The car could barely maintain a safe speed. I was travelling on the highway when this occurred.
My Nissan Sentra 2016 lost power for the first time back in 2020 while driving and I was unable to accelerate properly. I was so concerned because I was driving while the incidents happened. The car was taken to the Nissan dealership for inspection and they said that the transmission was the problem. No repairs were performed. On November 2022 the car suddenly lost power for the second time and I was unable to properly accelerate while driving it on the highway. No warning lamps showed before it failed. They appear after the car losses power.
The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated the vehicle overheated and stalled. The oil, engine, and battery warning lights were illuminated. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 21v135000 (exterior lighting) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 27,321. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
Vehicle stalls randomly. Numerous times on numerous dates.
It's been 6 months the car started to skeet transmission gear. When driving in highway at 65 to 70 mph the clock of idle start going from 1 up to 4 up and down. I took it to a auto repair and the mechanic stated is the transmission. I've done a research and other people have the same issue. I want to prevent a crash if the transmission goes down and car stop abruptly.
The car would not start. Yes it was inspected at the car repair shop. I have had to jump start the car many times.
Vehicle rpms increase during highway speeds- dealership determined it was a known cvt.
The engine light popped on and then the car wouldn't accelerate the odometer didn't pass 0mph you have to repeatedly restart the car to even get the car to 20 mph. When going up a hill the car wouldn't go fast enough so I started to roll back. Got the car scanned and the things that popped up was p0744, p285a, p0715.
My car has 92,000 miles. As of 3 days it's been acting up I went to a mechanic and they said I needed to replace my transmission. That it wasn't sending enough signal to the engine to have my car run. When I step on the gas it goes around 10mph but 2 days ago it completely stopped. And I got a letter on the mail a while back that it had a recall.
While in motion the car jerks and slips gears while driving it has loss of power when accelerating I feel unsafe while driving my car.
77,000 miles and no other issues. Go will go into gear but wont go.
I want to be reimburse for having to pay to have my transmission replaced. I got my car with 30 something miles on it, bought it off the lot, because I wanted a good car that wouldn't need repairs or break down on me. Come to find out, Nissan had a known transmission issue on their cars and was paying for some repairs but because mine was a few miles over the "cut off" number of miles, mine was not covered. I had to pay 3 thousand + dollars to have it fixed, which I didn't have. I needed to get a loan to pay for the repairs on a garbage car that you all knew had transmission issues and agreed to pay for some transmissions but because mine was a few miles over your allowed miles, you did not pay when your the multi million dollar company who made these cars incorrectly!! you can afford to pay for my repairs if you paid for everyone else's transmissions!! I'm a single mother of 6 kids who does not have 3 thousand + dollars laying around for a car that I thought was a good car!!! please reimburse me especially during these hard times with no money during covid -19. Don't forget your the millionaires with dumb poor people like myself trying to get ahead by buying a car off the lot, thinking they won't have any car issues!!.
This car is very dangerous, I will be going down the highway and it loses speed for no reason. I try to get it gas and my speed decreases. I have almost been in several accidents due to this scary problem. I've called the dealership and they say nothing is wrong with this vehicle. It's gonna take someone losing there life before Nissan will admit this be vehicle needs to be recalled. Will never buy another Nissan.
The transmission already went out on my car and I just bought it and now having to pay out of pocket expenses for something I shouldn't be having any issues with at this time.
The cvt is causing the car to not pickup speed and it's causing a dangerous situation on interstate. I see that this has been a problem before my problem why hasn't a recalled been issued. Also my car is a 2016 Nissan Sentra that I purchased in baton rouge la after the major flood here I hope I wasnt' sold a car that had water damage.
My 2016 Nissan Sentra is been unsafe to drive, I was taking my daughter to school when I was trying to hit the gas it jumped up almost hit the front car we were behind. Car doesn't go faster then 10mph. I can't believe being a new car I must pay a lot money to fix transmission. I'm a single mother and need this problem fixed please. I can't pick up my kids from school or pick them up from location I meet ex husband to get them on my days of custody. I need my vehicle fixed please.
Rpm ramps when speed get up to 75 or higher.
I was driving when my car which is a push to start completely stopped. I try to restart it but couldnt. I looked underneath the hood and the battery was on fire.
The drivers door handle comes off. The car bucks and loses power, the tachometer needle moves up and down. Rpm sensor?. The brakes (rear drums crunching). I have 3 different bills for the brakes. Im trying to get ahead of this situation with the bucking of my car. Read up on complaints due to trouble with Nissan transmission. I don't want to be stuck with back and forth b. S. About who is responsible etc. I own it outright. Want it taken care of. Its highway driving when it bucks back and forth and loses power.
On a recent trip I noticed a surge in rpm's on the car. On cruise at 70 mph the rpm would be around 20,000. It surges to 35,000 or higher. It seems to be getting worse and at lower speeds now.
While braking the air conditioning shuts off. The dealer say they have "fixed" the problem twice and then on my 3rd attempt to have it fixed they informed me it is a "normal working condition" they then told me I was to be removed from their survey list because of a potentially bad review and then was told I couldn't bring the car back for this issue anymore.
The tranmisson not enough power and seems to me not good gas because the not correctly on city and highway. . Need improve.
I have a Sentra 2016 that has been from day 1 and brand new has had a shake, judder, stall during sudden acceleration or stop and go stop and go with being jolted forward, usually on the highway. I am always terrified to drive it anywhere. I can't believe there is no recall on this. They need to offer a new transmission for the owners.
The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Sentra. While driving between 40-60 mph, there was excessive vibration coming from the front end of the vehicle. The dealer diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced and that the specifications of the engine terminal pin were incorrect and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. Also, while attempting to use the heating system in the vehicle, there was an abnormal smoke odor. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 43.
The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that the day after purchasing the vehicle, the instrument panel went blank and the vehicle failed to start-up after multiple attempts. The vehicle eventually started and the contact took the vehicle back to five star Nissan of warner robins (839 warren dr, warner robins, GA 31088) where the vehicle remained in dealer possession for two weeks. The contact then stated that upon return of the vehicle, the power steering intermittently failed to operate as needed, without warning. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where the steering wheel was replaced however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 10.
