The brake switch above the brake and under the console and next to the cruse control switch malfunctions and does not allow the car to start because it does not sense the brake being pushed. There is no manual work around. It has happened sporadically but recently would not start for three days. I had to take the brake switch apart and clean the inside of excess silicone that gets dirt in it and keeps the contact metal from sensing the brake being pushed. This is extremely dangerous and also keeps the brake lights from working.
