Electronic Stability Control problem #1

The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that the vehicle intermittently failed to start-up as needed. The electronic stability program (esp) warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 52,000.

Electronic Stability Control problem #2

Ebs malfunction warning light comes on. Every day. When car is in motion.

Electronic Stability Control problem #3

I had recently driving a 2016 Nissan Sentra I own. I was driving on an interstate in my area and all of a sudden the car significantly decelerated while stalling to about 30 mile per hour. I immediately pulled over from the right lane onto the shoulder. Thank goodness I was in the right lane and had the shoulder just to my right as traffic was relatively heavy. Candidly I thought I was going to crash the vehicle as I did swerve at about 45 miles per hour. Keep in mind I was traveling at 65 mile per hours. The car is now with woodfield Nissan in schaumburg, IL since Thursday, July 30. The service department informed me I have to replace the electronic control unit (egi). I did not know what this was and that the cost would be almost $3,000. I asked about recalls and was told that there are recalls for this same model year car but my car did not meet Nissan's requirement since the VIN #'s were already identified . I have done my research regarding this known defect with this vehicle. Nissan only agreed to voluntarily recall vehicles during a certain timeframe. I'm not clear why my vehicle VIN#3n1ab7ap5gy268385 is not covered under the recall, I'm experiencing what the recall outlined. I have seen numerous cases reported online. I was able to locate campaign code pm6580. Nissan is not willing to cooperate and assit with the current production issue I'm experiencing. My 2016 Nissan has been at woodfiled Nissan since 7/30 with the harness on backorder. I'm not certain why VIN# was not part of the recall as I'm experiencing the defect in a production environment, while it's a very dangerous production issue. I feel it's unfair and deceptive as a customer that is experiencing a production recall issue. Nissan case # 40810890. Sincerely, asuzena oswald 630-417-9004 jaquezsusy4@gmail. Com car under alex jaquez at dealer or susy oswald.

Electronic Stability Control problem #4

Cvt transmission stuttering acceleration, reving and slipping.

Electronic Stability Control problem #5

My 2010 Nissan Sentra (was stationary each time) failed to start so I replaced the battery and it began starting for a week. Then one morning it failed to start again. I cleaned both the cable ends on the battery and each post. I was able to get the car started and lasted a few days and the same problems arises again. This time the engine would turn over but would not start. Put a code machine on the car and received a code for camshaft position sensor or the crankshaft position sensor. I have discovered there was a recall for the positive battery cable that would cause the car to not get good connection and create failure for the engine control module. I entered my VIN number but the NHTSA system is not responding. Could please respond to see if my vehicle is on the recall list?.

Electronic Stability Control problem #6

All of a sudden for the past 2 days I have had an issue with the switch locking and want turn while parked(stationary). The stirring wheel never locked and warning light stays on for security alert. Today it want turn on at all.

Electronic Stability Control problem #7

My 2018 Nissan Sentra has issues with not starting and the brake sensor failing and coming on with nothing around. The back up camera goes out and the radio and temperature control lights go out. There are several ongoing dangerous issues with the vehicle I have contacted Nissan consumer affairs, corp and managers at sutherlin Nissan to no avail.

Electronic Stability Control problem #8

The keyless entry fob is slightly sensitive. I financed the car on 3/10/2020. After taking a nap upon leaving the vaccination clinic for tetna adult shot, I slept from around 6pm-142am in a wooded area parking spot at a local park and when I woke up, my car doors were unlocked and my driver side window was open a little and I had it raised and was sure to lick the door prior to going to sleep. Then on 3/11/2029, I went to the convenience store for a pit stop when I arrived back to the car, the trunk was open and when I got out if the car I was sure to look at it while hitting the lock and placed the key in my pocket.

Electronic Stability Control problem #9

Having issue while driving. Abs brake system light comes on and car jerks violently. Have to stop and turn off car and all lights. Push the abs light button and start car again to repeat. Happens several times a day. Car has stopped twice on its on when this has occurred. Was driving from out of town on back roads and had to stop about every 10 minutes to stop and turn off car. Notice it was worse than before. Difference in roads from home. Roads I was on were several winding road. Did not got better even if I drove slowly.

Electronic Stability Control problem #10

Purchased the vehicle in June 2016, service engine light came on in October (approximately 60,000-70,000 miles) when temp dropped below 55 degrees. Took it to a mechanic, code read p0101. Find Nissan has posted a bulletin on this. Followed all guidelines. He cleaned the maf sensor. Light went off. Next, day light comes back on. Go back, have sensor replaced. Light comes back on. Checks for vacuum leaks, change air filter blow out air box and surrounding components. Light still on. Take car for a diagnosis every few months to ensure its still the same thing and nothing else. No problem with cars drivability. Fast forward to 2019, vdc/ abs lights come on. Call Nissan, tell me they cant help because my car was out of warranty. Nisan has posted bulletin for this issue follow all guidelines for repairs via their bulletin, all the way down to the $700 wheel speed sensor. Lights go off. But that started a new issue. My vdc/abs lights will spontaneously come on causing my car to jerk violently at speeds between 20-30mph (or 2,500 rpm) causing me to stop dead in traffic, park the car, take the key out (it must be out!), wait a few seconds, turn it back on. Fast forward to this week (3/2/20) my car stalls out going 70 mph down the highway between to semis. Everything just shuts down. I literally almost died. Call Nissan and they tell me, my car isn't part of the recall, outside of the warranty, nothing we can do. Go to Nissan dealer. They want to charge $150 to diagnose. So I went elsewhere, got it diagnosed for free had maf cleaned, new air filter, codes reset. Light goes off. Driving home, car stalls again at 70 mph. No lights on dash. Have codes read immediately, no codes. Nothing. Wake up, drive to school, service engine light comes on, immediately stalls on highway. Immediately have does read: three p0101 codes in row. I literally fear for my life and have no other choice.

Electronic Stability Control problem #11

Every time the vehicle is driven on an interstate the aeb system errors causing the tcs and esp systems to shut down. Several warning lights illuminate and the vehicle must be restarted to clear the fault.

Electronic Stability Control problem #12

Like many other complaints I am reading I have had multiple times I have been driving down the road and my vdc off light will appear and my car will start jerking and have trouble accelerating, I then have to get over to the side of the road and shut my car off for a few, this luckily has only happened to me in the city as after it happened I was too worried to take it on the highway. With this many issues/complaints Nissan really needs to look into this before it costs someone their life.

Electronic Stability Control problem #13

Defective manucturer window tint has 2 inch round dots all over window tint on car. Driver side door inside unlock button doesn't work.

Electronic Stability Control problem #14

Vehicle has been having transmission issues since 6 months after purchasing it in 2018. Car rpm jumps up and down when driving. Car shuts off when I'm park and left in idle sometimes, it takes a lot to turn left or right in the vehicle. Had transmission replaced in the beginning of 2019 thinking it will fix it, but the issue still occurs. I've taken it to mechanics and they all suggested to contact Nissan. I've spent almost 4,000-6,000 on repairs within the last two years. All related to the same issue.

Electronic Stability Control problem #15

Code p2135 keeps showing. Bought a new throttle pedal positioning sensor from Nissan, had it installed. After 2 weeks the same problem shows back. The vehicle cuts off while driving, lose power as driving, and sometimes idles high while idling and then cuts off.

Electronic Stability Control problem #16

The buttons on my steering wheel works when they want to. . They front radar sensor cuts of and says it's obstructed and the crash light comes on I was driving out of state the first time the radar quit working until I could shut the car off and started it again. . The buttons was the same time it started in January the first time then hasn't done it till now 02-28-2020 constantly.

Electronic Stability Control problem #17

Shuttering, unexpected power surges, hesitation, stalling, and of course lots of bad noises in general. I found numerous Nissan transmission lawsuits filled regarding 2014 Sentra prone to shaking, jerking, sudden downshifts. I am unable to drive my vehicle and have been told it needs a transmission and this vehicle has a long history of issues.

Electronic Stability Control problem #18

The push button start is very unreliable I have had to have aaa twice for starting problems and towed twice to the Nissan service garqage I thik this is a serious saftey issue I am not comfortable going anyplace and knowing that it may not start after parked it has this problem in parking lots and home garage I am 82 years old and all I wanted was a small dependable care this is not.

Electronic Stability Control problem #19

Driving on freeway less than 35 mph, car made loud noise for 1-2 minutes at same time I felt under floor board something pulling. I tried to slow down, brakes didn't work. I rear ended a car. The car gear shift popped into reverse; I pressed harder on brakes & they finally worked. I noticed a big light on the dashboard saying malfunction, check owners manual there was a gray symbol near these words. Inside the speedometer circle that same symbol appeared in bright yellow. At some point within an hour 2 more yellow symbols appeared on the far left of the dash, a yellow triangle with an explanation point, and a car with 2 curved lines behind the back tires. When the car was returned to the dealership I purchased it from, the staff immediately attempted to blame me for the incidentasking why didn't I bring the car in for service? and that I have to get a rental car and my car repair through my insurance company. He pushed the idea of getting the car repaired. I stated I just barely got the car 3-4 weeks ago brand new. I left the car to be checked by service department. The next day the service manager denied any malfunction saying there wasn't any current codes just past codes; I asked what that meant he said a brake sensor and some other data I didn't comprehend. He said get my insurance to fix the car. I said no sir, I want more information on why the car malfunction first. Once I explain to him again what happened he said he would have his forman check out this car the next morning; however less than an hour the service manager me back to say he talked to a field tech engineer and was advised that I had a right to call Nissan corp to make a report. I went by srvc dpt to get something, they tried to get to take/repair my car. I didnt. Once I spoke to Nissan corp they said it take 6-8 weeks for investigation etc to be completed and for me not to get car repaired.

Electronic Stability Control problem #20

The check engine light keeps coming on due to the same air flow problem. Every time car is scanned the code comes up as the mass air flow sensor. I have replaced this sensor. My vehicle would not accelerate over 20 mph. My car also idles, jerks when placed in park & has decreased fuel efficiency. The car began to violently shake, was unable to accelerate while on the highway. Car rpms increased the car did not move. Traffic rapidly approaching behind me.

Electronic Stability Control problem #21

The check engine light keeps coming on due to the same air flow problem. Every time car is scanned the code comes up as the mass air flow sensor. Since purchasing the car, I have replaced this sensor twice. I replaced the sensor on 7/8/19 approximately 4 weeks after purchasing the vehicle and then again on 10/10/18. Before replacing the part on oct. 10, I was merging onto the highway and my vehicle would not accelerate over 20 mph. My car also idles, jerks when placed in park & has decreased fuel efficiency.

Electronic Stability Control problem #22

Traction control light turns on and my car slows down.

Electronic Stability Control problem #23

While I was driving the dash lights started flickering and it started making a humming noise then the steering wheel locked up to the right and it did this twice and I almost crashed.

Electronic Stability Control problem #24

Driving on city street car started making loud noises an started slowing down. Thankfully I was almost near a friends home an pulled into their yard. Had to b towed to parents home. Transmission was the issue . I was fortunate to know someone near the incident otherwise it could have been really serious on the highwaycost 5000. 00 I'm still paying on car owe 2500. 00, a student, wrk full time no $ to fix, only 101 thousand miles but they will not fix???!! I'm not the only one with said issue with a Nissan and respectfully need the car made correctly.

Electronic Stability Control problem #25

On Sunday, sept 22 2019 at around 1:40pm we were headed home from an vacation at a cabin rental property in sevierville, TN. Not even quarter mile from our cabin on a straight and down hill road all of a sudden the brakes stopped functioning. I applied brakes multiple times but the car didn't stop and in order to avoid a small pond on the right hand side and the car in front I had to divert my car on the shoulder of the road. As I hit shoulder of the road the front passenger wheel busted and the car eventually stopped further at the up hill. I don't know if the brakes failed and/or the abs and/or the onboard computer malfunctioned. I did see abs and vdc lights sign coming on the dashboard for at least 2 hours before disappearing on its own. Also since then the tire pressure sign has never gone off. The tire pressure signs blinks for a little while every time start the car and then gets steady. This seems to be an safety concern to me as I still can't understand how would the car do nothing even after applying the brakes so many times. With an 2011 model and only 56000 miles on it I would never expect something like this to happen. So scared to drive the car now as we have an two year old who was in the car at the time of the incident & my wife got an minor injury to her left elbow. I reported the incident to Nissan by calling 800-647-7261 on sept 24 2019 and haven't heard anything back from them since than.

Electronic Stability Control problem #26

Takata recall. I was trying to check why my car has the engine check light on and the main computer cannot connect to my car to give me a diagnosis, it just says that there is an error in the connection.

Electronic Stability Control problem #27

Tl-the contact owns a 2018 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that while driving the vehicle at an unknown speed, a warning light illuminated stating unavailable front radar sensor. The vehicle was taken to jim keras Nissan, 2080 covington pike, memphis, TN 38128, (901) 373-2800, to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the front radar sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the issue, case number: 37101150. The approximate failure mileage was 42,300. Ah.

Electronic Stability Control problem #28

My car started with a lot of hesitation then it started to come to a complete stop and when it was time to pull from a red light it took time exhilarating to where I would only move a little bit and at a very slow speed. All of a sudden I couldn't get the car to move much at all without starting the car back up and getting just enough push to drive for 5 seconds I start out driving on a high way when it happened and made it to my sister house as I noticed it beginning to slow down and it became worst as I drove it to her house.

Electronic Stability Control problem #29

Takata inflator. I have a problem with my car the esc light is on and I dont know whats happens, the stability is not good when it's raining and I connect a computer and the computer dont want to read what is the problem.

Electronic Stability Control problem #30

Driving over an hour and the car starts to struggle, I can feel it loosing power, in order to not press down all the way, I'm doing a give n go praying I dont stop on the freeway. I would sometimes feel jumping and that I'm not in full control and it has stopped on me in a 15minute drive. I have gotten, a diagnostic, 1time it had 4different transmission codes and another a fuel code. Not sure what's going on, this started around the 60,000 mile I'm at 90,000 now, so ya, it's been rough.

Electronic Stability Control problem #31

The transmission has approximately 88k miles and in the last 10k the transmission has been skipping gears, having progressive difficulty shifting up and downhill; there's jarring and jerking when accelerating and DE-accelerating. It most often happens on declines inclines stops during driving, and traveling at highway speeds. I've seen that many 2013 Nissan owners experience similar issues.

Electronic Stability Control problem #32

On June 18 2019 I was driving 55 mph on the belt line in madison, WI. With my newborn daughter. When all of a sudden the car started lurching, I had no control. In heavy traffic I was afraid of causing in accident. The brakes were hard and if I pushed on the gas it started lurching out of control. I was finally able to pullover and noticed the voc light was on. I pushed the voc button to turn it off. But it wouldn't turn off. I called my father larry. He told me to turn off the car wait a minute. Turn it back on. To see if the voc would reset. It did reset. The problem continues I taken my car into different locations for inspection. I see a lot of people have the same problem on this website. However my car does not fall into the recall. Why? it affects steering (lack of) brakes (non existent) gas (causes lurching). Very dangerous for me & my newborn. Not to mention those around me. My car has 115,000 miles.

Electronic Stability Control problem #33

Tl the contact owns a 2019 Nissan Sentra. While driving 65 mph, the rear of the vehicle swayed violently from side to side. The contact also mentioned that the system malfunction warning indicator illuminated. Conyers Nissan (1420 iris dr sw, conyers, GA 30094, (678) 233-2448) was called and the contact was informed to restart the vehicle to get the front crash system to function normally again. The dealer further stated that the vehicle was driving normally due to the way it was designed. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing or repairs. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and the contact was currently waiting for a call back. The failure mileage was 7,682.

Electronic Stability Control problem #34

My car started showing a traction control light on the dashboard and my cruise control stopped working. I brought it to the dealer and they told me a brake sensor was bad so they went to fix that but it didnt fix the problem because I had no brake lights. Apparently a wire shorted and reulted in me not having brake lights and the car didnt indicate or warn me I had been driving with no brake lights. They told me the cost to replace the harness was $3000. 00 or they could run another wire to replace the bad one for $1000. 00 on a 3 year old car that retails for $18000. 00 that has 25000 miles on it.

Electronic Stability Control problem #35

The vehicle has so many defects!! that I don't know where to begin?!?; but firstly I want my money back for the exorbitant expensive interest rate they charged me. . . !!! then they added my deposit into the total cost instead it subtracting it from my total!!!?? the upholstery inside us coming up from the floor almost months into the purchase. The defrost doesn't work. . The electronic part that affects the automatic door on the driver's side; the door wont open from the inside passenger! the pedal area where the carpet is coming up. . Is exposing the underneath of car same with other areas but flooring carpet is extremely loose, and exposing wires. The driving electronic feature for winding roads it keeps coming on and won't shut off; I could have been killed!!!! it turned on multiple times on freeway slowing me down & I turned the button. On the feature . . . It still wouldn't turn. Off. . . !!!, the wipers are not working well at all and haven't since I first bought the car. The driver's side panel that has control of windows and unlock. . It is coming off already!!! I don't have anyone in the car but me so it's definitely not me!.

Electronic Stability Control problem #36

Car has 14,000 miles on it and is under warranty. The front radar camera is constantly acting like the car is in a wreck and it lights up the dash with various crash emblems. . I took it to the local Nissan dealership and they put in a new radar camera and it continues to do the same exact thing 2 days after being in the dealership for 7 full days. . . Nissan cant fix this radar crash sensor. . . . This happens after you crank the car and you go roughly a hundred yards.

Electronic Stability Control problem #37

Ive been having issues with my 2013 Sentra sr sputtering randomly and out of nowhere shakes and completly shuts off no matter the speed im doing. Which has me concerned as this is becoming a big safety issue now thru out the years its gotten proggresivly worse without any dealership being able to fix this issue cause the car shows no warning lights or a check engine light. This happens when I'm stopped and moving happens randomly and sometimes the car wont accelerate past 3 rpm's.

Electronic Stability Control problem #38

It is ridiculous that so many people with the same car have had the same exact problem and no investigation or action has been done by the NHTSA yet. As others have complained before, I have had moments where my car would have the vdc light go off and the car would begin to not accelerate over 2,000 rpms and would shake the car in a violent manner. I have had error codes p0101 and p0725 come up and dissapear through a period of six months. I have had to install a new oem mass air flow sensor to try to fix p0101 and it has returned on and off. The car has been acting much weaker than before and would have lots of hesitation whenever you would give it any gas. I have tried to search online to fix this but have come up with no definite answer. I just want my car to be reliable and that is what I expected when this car was purchased yet for it to start failing before the 100k mark, it shows how defective Nissan products are. I have put a thousand dollars trying to fix it only to find out nothing has changed. A recall needs to be done to fix this. Guaranteed last time I will buy a Nissan for sure.

Electronic Stability Control problem #39

Driving down off ramp and car just suddenly shut off and would not start.

Electronic Stability Control problem #40

Electrical & bluetooth problems with the car: the system shuts itself down & reboots without prompt. The Nissan logo reappears on screen in the same manner that it does when the vehicle is first initiated via keyless start ignition. Three weeks ago, I was driving & the system shut down while I was in transit on the freeway (bw parkway) - headed to baltimore city from bowie city in maryland and rebooted itself. The fear is that the car will shut down one day, not just electronically, but also the engine, which could cause a fatal accident. The second or third day, after I brought the car home, I turned the car on to take it out for a ride, and it shut off on me completely. Each time the system shuts down, the mileage odometer dials back a couple of hundred numbers or sometimes a few numbers. There's no way to tell how many miles are truly on the vehicle. I also do not know for sure if the vehicle was truly inspected by emissions or that they changed my fuel. I also do not know the true condition of this vehicle. I saw some rust under the hood on a few of the screws. I also saw corrosion underneath the driver's side over the brake pedal. I am having problems staying in my lane on the road. When I am driving on the road, the car swerves if there are high winds (suspension on front & rear end alignment appear to be gone). On Friday March 15th in the 5 o'clock pm hour, I almost lost control of the car on the freeway. I opened the sunroof & a gusty wind came down, knocking the car out of its lane. I regained control of the car. I shut the sunroof. This happens no matter what speed I drive. The next problem is with the bluetooth. I attempted to call a relative using the hands free verbal command & it went haywire & began calling random people in my phone. After that, the car rebooted itself again. This problem is new. Research confirms that the dealer has a history.

Electronic Stability Control problem #41

I'm driving normal on the road with no condensation on roadway, when all of a sudden the "vdc off" indicator light is illuminated and the car looses speed and jerks. I pull off to the side of road. Turn car completely off. Wait a few minutes to turn car back on. Car may operate normally for a few minutes and then again the "vdc off" light is back along with the jerking. I can be either on the highway (which is extremely dangerous) or driving on the city streets. When I am stopped at a stop light, stop sign or even backing out my driveway I am having issues with the "vdc off". When I am stationary after turning my car off and back on again, sometime it is still on and thecrpm is revving up and down. My foot is neither on the brake or the gas pedal. This last time 3/11/2019. It has been doing this off and on starting since January 2019.

Electronic Stability Control problem #42

After 4 days of not driving my car, my car will not start. This happens every time I don't drive my car, (the four days). I have to jump start my car. I have bought new batteries. I have had my alternator checked.

Electronic Stability Control problem #43

I was driving down a highway interstate car started bucking and not accelerating when I put foot on gas. I was alone and it was dark in the middle of the night. I was so scared. It could have caused a serious accident. I saw a vdc light was on and that had never happened before. I checked the dashboard and saw the vdc button and tried pressing it and nothing helped. When I was finally able to pull over on the shoulder, very upset, I looked online on my phone and someone recommended to turn car off for a few minutes and then restart it. That seemed to help so I went on my way. I see many others saying they have had the same thing happen. Maybe this should be seriously looked into and possibly a recall on it. 2018.

Electronic Stability Control problem #44

"mass air flow sensor recall" and components there of or intake fuel/performance reductors. . . Check engine code p0101. While running the vehicle looses power and struggles to go faster entering freeways or up hills also have to use more gas lately. Check engine light lit up. . . Replaced the part to no avail. . . Light is off a day or two then returns. . . Which means issue is not fixed.

Electronic Stability Control problem #45

Sensor/warning/check engine lights appear to not work. I was driving on the freeway when my vehicle started to shift erratically, the car would then barely move when pressing gas. After trying to accelerate more, the vehicle did not move at all. When the vehicle was taken to the dealership there were no warning lights such as a check engine light at all which made me believe there was nothing serious wrong with the vehicle. When it was inspected by Nissan technicians, they said the transmission was completely bad and needed to be replaced. This is a serious issue if the transmission is faulty and the fact that there was no indication that something wrong cause me serious potential danger as I was stuck in the middle of the freeway, unable to move. Because there was no indication that there was a problem with the transmission, this made it impossible to fix the issue early on so this could have been avoided.

Electronic Stability Control problem #46

Had my car on the highway oct. 13,2018 for a 2hr trip. . . 1hr into trip and my car knocked off the cruise control and began jerking with rpms jumping up and down. On return trip it did the same thing, but no warning lights ever appeared on dash. When checked, no red flags and after a day or 2 around town rpms did not jump. Nov. 22,2018(just a little over 1 month) I put my car on the highway for the same trip and within an hour the car knocked off the cruise control, began jerking and rpms were jumping up and down. On the return trip back, 1hr and a half into trip, my car lost all aceleration power. . Pedal to the floor and it continued to drop speed from 70mph to 45 before I turned on hazards and stopped on the shoulder. Then finally the check engine light pops on! but my daughter and I were now stranded on the side of the busy highway. My car hit 75k miles during this 2nd trip, so first time was under 75k. After spending over an hour helpless, the car jumped back into gear and allowed me to drive it the remaining 20 miles, but once exiting the highway I could not acelerate to merge into street traffic and was almost rear-ended. There has been no mention of any cvt issues when I take it in for routine maintenance. Now it's in need of repair badly! no other choice but to take it in to the Nissan dealer ASAP. I've been loyal to Nissan for many years having had a 1995 and 2002 Sentra for years. . . I haven't even had this 2014 for 2 yet, and if being stuck on the side of the highway with a young child or almost being rear-ended due to loss of power to engine doesn't scream we need a safety recall what will??.

Electronic Stability Control problem #47

I bought the car for 15k cash that day, 45 minutes later while driving home on the highway I have an option for eco mode and boost mode, I went to turn on eco mode and nothing I hit it again nothin, 3rd time the eco light came on, then I go for cruze control , 1,2,3,4 trys nothin on 5th it worked, im doing 70 on rhe hwy and its now 75 I went to hit accelerate 1 time it it flew into the back of another person , and instantly when I hit accelerate the gas pedal was floored and didnt have time to turn off. I do truly feel rhis is a lemon car and now 16k in the hold and no car.

Electronic Stability Control problem #48

Timing and electrical, throttle clutch control problems. Transmission related issues.

Electronic Stability Control problem #49

The transmission failed at 60,962 the car started started shaking, jerking and loosing speed and then it cutting off at the stop light. The car cut off on me getting off the highway I was at a light & then I was unable to proceed with traffic. I turned on the hazard lights & turned the heat off waited for the car to maybe cool off I really didn't know what was wrong & then I was able to restart the car & drive home I took the car to the Nissan dealer ship twice & they told me it was the airflow filter after they claimed it was fixed it happened again I contacted Nissan again and they finally admitted that this car has a bad transmission. There is no way a car under 100k miles should have problems with the transmission I bought this car @ 26k in 2016. Now is costing me over 3,000. 00 to fix my car . Nissan is well aware of the transmission issue on these cars and instead of recalling them they continue to allow these cars to be sold over & over again again. I want a complete investigation into the on going problems with the 2013 Nissan Sentra's. I have lost power on the highway as well as main roads stopped at lights holding up traffic in dangerous situations I had this car towed in total of 5 times in less than 6 months.

Electronic Stability Control problem #50

Nissan 2013 Sentra has a computer malfunction. Have to stick something into the gear shift in order to drive. Car stutters when pressing the gas as if it's switchibg gears. Also, there was a recall for the middle seatbelt I got fixed. Seat belt was used once properly and has been locked ever since. Nissan will not fix these malfunctions unless I have a letter about these issues. These issues are known recalls from previous Nissan Sentra owners as well.

Electronic Stability Control problem #51

My 2018 Nissan Sentra started having electrical system/wire problems after hitting a small puddle going up to my tires. Days later the car got it oil change have family oil company on ridge avenue in norristown pennsylvania very next day have to work my car stop moving I just still ran I took it to Nissan so that they can see why the car is not running properly they told me it was electrical problems with the wires they still have my car they had it for almost 3 weeks I still have not been able to fix it.

Electronic Stability Control problem #52

2016 Nissan Sentra sr (current mileage est. 60,000 miles) the ignition issue on my vehicle has started around 20,000 miles. Normally, the vehicle is in motion on a highway during my commute to and from work (which is 60 miles a day), the slip traction light stays on for days regardless of weather conditions. During this time the acceleration of my vehicle is stalling. A jerking motion as I press the accelerator. A repair was initiated but no to avail, the acceleration is still stalling. There is a fault in the electronic stability system. When the car is stationary, the brake switch acts up and the car can't turn on. The brake gets stiff and I'm unable to turn on the vehicle for 10 -30 minutes. Pushing the ignition button alone, the car will light up and the radio will turn on therefore there is no issue with the battery. The brake switch has been replaced twice in two consecutive months. Currently this issue is occurring with a new brake switch in my vehicle. Also, if my car is parked after an hour or so , I have difficulty turning on the car, brake pedal gets hard and I wait once again until the pedal unlocks. At the gas station, I turned off my vehicle to fill up my tank, five minutes later I'm unable to turn my vehicle on, again brake pedal is hard. All oil changes and recommended maintenance has been performed on my vehicle.

Electronic Stability Control problem #53

I was driving for about 15 miles- I came to a red light- vehicle stopped and the check engine light came on. Turned the ignition off and on - vehicle would move forward an inch and stop again. Vehicle was towed to the mechanic; mechanic said there is a recall and the system needs to be reprogrammed.

Electronic Stability Control problem #54

I was driving the car and it turn off on me while 40 miles an hour.

Electronic Stability Control problem #55

Disculpen pero yo no entiendo muy bien el ingles tengo problemas con un carro que compre hace 7 meses por favor gracias.

Electronic Stability Control problem #56

I purchased this vehicle on 06/16/2018 only to break down 4 hours later car lost power was lost car would not accelerate over 10-15mph hours and all the lights on dash board were lighting up I contacted salesman and I went into Nissan south in morrow car was checked into service and had u0101-lost communication code 45mins later my name was pages and car was supposed fixed they refused to keep the vehicle I was told that happens sometimes from car just sitting on the lot 3 days later woke up to leave and car would not start and dash board was lighting up with all indicators that could possible be on eventually car started only to let me get down the street from my house car lost power and cut off dash board lights were all on I had to wait over 1 hour and eventually car started drove normal I went back to Nissan again to service and because the car was not duplicating the issues I expressed they told me they could not help me because the car showed no signs and they could not keep car until they could duplicate the issue sent me back home for 3rd time now and 2 days later I was on a busy expressway and the car lost power would not accelerate past 10-15mph and the gas petal was all the way to the floor and I was on a busy expressway I had to wait 2hrs on side of the road and car eventually started went to dealership again and they told me there is nothing showing in the codes and that they have to duplicate I wasn't assisted took it back home same thing again now this time they kept it and finally after 2days car broke down on them and they claim it was from wire supposedly car was fixed and til this day engine light and accelerating lags and it happens intermittently and they have no fix for the issue but to tell you about a code this model and year there is defect in this vehicle and my issues never stop and this is supposed to be a new vehicle.

Electronic Stability Control problem #57

The front sensor keep showing the "front sensor unavailable" followed by the crash icon at all times of the day, and all speeds including in the stopped position. The sensor goes out regardless of whether or not there are other vehicles near the car.

Electronic Stability Control problem #58

At random times the vdc off indicator will turn on while driving. It can not be turned off and it is impossible for your car to go over 40 mph without constant jerking. You have to pull over, shut down and restart your car multiple times until the indicator doesn't come back on. Some times this is impossible and will never go away until car has been shut off for an hour or so. This can occur at any time when the car is in motion or even at a stop light, the indicator will come on and the jerking will begin. Very dangerous.

Electronic Stability Control problem #59

Within one week of driving the vehicle it stalled as I enter onto the highway. The vehicle also feels as if it's out of balance and shakes at speed of 65 to 70 mph. And the forward emergency braking system warning light display/ unavailable front radar obstruction warning light also display at any given time. As you can see by just a few of the many photos below it is happening any given day at any given time even at zero speed.

Electronic Stability Control problem #60

Tl-the contact owns a 2017 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that whenever their driving, the vehicle swerves from side to side. This happened whenever they drove the vehicle and the bumpy ride made the contact car sick. Their power steering went bad and it was very hard for the contact to make turns. The steering wheel made an abnormal rattling noise that occurred. The vehicle was taken to fred anderson Nissan 9225 glenwood Ave, raleigh, nc 27617 (919) 324-3443 where the vehicle was diagnosed. The test could not replicate the problems. A master technician test drove the vehicle and ignored the failures and said their was no problem the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and they sent in the master technician that denied all of the failures. The failure mileage was 11 miles. Jw.

Electronic Stability Control problem #61

My vehicle turns off by itself and black smoke comes out of the muffler. The car brakes are acting weird. The car overheats.

Electronic Stability Control problem #62

Update since April - purchased car 10-22-15 inspection and said it was good. In 1-14-2016 car growling/city street. Again inspection and said it was good 6-14-16 car in ,car growling in motion on street. Again tested - good stranded (purchased a jump start) 8-16 2016 stranded in driveway 10-17-17 - twice car went into sport mode,on highway (50/60mph) no one touched anything-hands on wheel! they had car for 12 days and said nothings wrong with the trans. Still happens. . And worse. Trans blows up while driving car. It was awful, had we been going 50/60 we would have been dead. No warning lights- stopped dead and abruptly on city street. Had it towed in they finally admitted it was the trans from the start oct 2015! had to have a re-furbished trans as there was nothing left of this one,(car towed in-would not go into any gear). 1-16-18 car in for loud rattle. They said it was from the transmission being replaced. Straightened the heat plate under the trans. Still rattles 3-15-18 while driving with the new trans. Car went into sport mode on city street, just like before the original trans exploded. 4-29-18 stranded in driveway after driving it 28 miles- the battery was discharging while driving- we've been stranded about 14x's. Took car in -got a loaner. They said it must be an electrical problem and did a parasitic test. Nothing wrong 6-26-18 went into sport mode driving for about 40 seconds -pulled over- shut off motor. 7-26-18 shifted into high gear again on its own while driving. Our hands on the wheel, when driving. The car is acting like it did before the trans was replaced. Their Nissan corporate man said, it must be electrical why we are getting stranded and there is definitely something wrong with the new transmission they put in as it's doing the same thing as originally, before the car exploded and could have killed us.

Electronic Stability Control problem #63

Car runs fine, all of a sudden, skips into the tracton control mode and vehicle slowes to around 10 mph. Car will not accelerate. Dash check engine light comes on . Car cannot continue. After stopping, shut engine off, car will run fine, then it happens again. Safety issue, traveling at 40 mph and have your engine shut down. No warning, just happens.

Electronic Stability Control problem #64

Emergency brake assist has been acting from. The day I purchased the vehicle. . . Then I was in a car accident then it got worse, they replaced the bracket and sensor and they problem still remains. . . Actually I worse then before everytime I use my signal ot goes off when I'm approaching a hill it goes off.

Electronic Stability Control problem #65

Takata passenger air bag off light sometimes comes on when there is a passenger of weight where it should not be off. The car also sometimes feels as if it's losing power almost jerks some when stopped & you press the gas especially if heat or air is on.

Electronic Stability Control problem #66

I was not happy with the car I made it clear when I first seen it . I was in two car accidents with two months after the accidents I found out it had been in 2 accidents befre I got it a real lemon the car dealer ran the con man game on me an my family at a time I was stranded and in distress I want my money back and return this deadly car.

Electronic Stability Control problem #67

Engine to stall while the vehicle is in motion on a major highway and it was not be possible to restart the engine soon after it stopped, increasing the risk of a crash. According to the local Nissan dealer, the ecm module needs to be replaced. These symptoms are similar to recall#10v555000 and #11v579000.

Electronic Stability Control problem #68

The air sensor attached to the air filter system, causes me loose mass amounts of fuel cost $200 and for know I can restart it to get it to work right but it happens lots of times at any speed electrical is part of the sensor. Windshield was never sealed right on top of it leaks constantly and the front suspension sounds like a bomb hits when hitting any size bump bigger than a softball size checked it best I could plus mechanic and no known reason seen.

Electronic Stability Control problem #69

Nissan is selling vehicles knowing that transmissions will only last 2 years but overcharging consumers and consumers are stuck with vehicle repairs which is not affordable. No consumer should be charged 22,000 and over for a Nissan Sentra and 2 years later transmission goes out. Something needs to be done because this is a rip-off to consumers. The car has been sounding strange since driving it but all I keep hearing nothing wrong.

Electronic Stability Control problem #70

After a 1. 5-2 hour drive on the highway, my car would not accelerate beyond 60 mph. It drove fine after getting home and getting some rest. No lights came on this first. Similar event happened a couple weeks later - much shorter drive approx. 20 minutes, slower speeds, but main inclines. All lights (check engine, oil, emergency brake, battery) came on and the car would no accelerate at all. I pulled over and turned the car off then back on again and it was completely fine.

Electronic Stability Control problem #71

This happened a few months back 1 single time. I put car in reverse to back out of a space. Car reversed fine. Then I tried to put it into drive but it would not go into drive, only up to neutral. I tried turning it off and the waiting a min or 2 and turned it back on to see if it would go to drive. It would not. It would only move in reverse. I kept trying until on one of those tries it finally went into drive and I was able to get going again. Then recently, I think, 8/2/17, wed, I was at bank parked. I put car on reverse to leave bec I had a few more errands to do,car went back fine. Then I tried to put into drive; it would not go to drive. Same thing happened. It would not go into drive. It stopped in neutral and there were many cars trying to get past me, as I was blocking those coming south and those going north of me. I didn't know what to do! so I put it back into reverse and went back as much as I safely could in order to clear a wider space to see if cars could squeeze past me. The waiting cars squeezed through very unsafely for them and for me. Then I just kept trying by turning the car off and on a few mins later. I kept trying to put into drive. It would go to neutral but not into drive. Until one time, when it did and I was able to go to my next stop which was walgreens. Exact thing reoccurred; I repeated tries; finally went into drive. I proceeded to go to publix. Same senario happened. It took many tries. Finally went into drive and I was able to get home. I got home. Happened again when I reversed from being parked at my bldg blocking everyone. A ups truck driver also blocked. I asked for his help. He made attempts to put into dr. Finally got it. Moved my car out of harm's way. Nissan paper work is dated 8/4/17. It may repeat in a dangerous place. Was city in motion from parked. Maybe gear box is faulty, engine/transmission problem or electrical.

Electronic Stability Control problem #72

Car has been turning off a few times when brake had been pushing down. (when the car had been stopping).

Electronic Stability Control problem #73

I've been having issues with my vehicle. At times, the engine stalls and it cannot go above 15-20 mph, even while driving on the interstate. The steering wheel also locks up, as well. The vehicle dynamic control indicator then turns on. Luckily, I've been able to get to a safe location when this happens, but I find it alarming. I also think this defect is affecting other important components in my vehicle. It has been happening sporadically for about 2 years now.

Electronic Stability Control problem #74

The car shut of while driving at 65 mph. The car restarted after 10 minutes drove about 2 miles and it shut of again. This time I called a mechanic and had the car towed to his shop. The mechanic indicated that it was a crankshaft and camshaft sensor issue. I have changed all other sensors on car. I was told that there was a recall on this car. I contacted Nissan at 1-800-647-7261 and was told that there was nothing that they could do. Please advise!!!!.

Electronic Stability Control problem #75

Recall on battery cable impacted ecm and caused fire on wieingof car and impacted catalytic converter and valve solenoid and O2 sensors and damaged car.

Electronic Stability Control problem #76

The Nissan Sentra accelerate and decelerate at any giving moment on the city street in motion, at a stop sign highway turning it shakes and jerks when ever in motion the brakes lock up the vehicle rev and the rpm meter surge unexpectedly and without warning none of the warning lights work the vehicle is very dangerous took the car to the Nissan dealer a couple of times they said I needed an oil change got the oil change still didn't help took the car back up there they looked at the car again and said it needed a transmission and I said how no warning lights are on the guy said they want come on until the transmission is gone and the shift lever wont shift in gear without putting an object in the little square hole next to the lever.

Electronic Stability Control problem #77

Car feels like the engine starts and stops continuously and very fast when on highway going 60-75 mph, and happens more often with cruise control on. The speedometer bounces around like crazy from zero to bouncing pass my speed I'm driving at. This has been going on since I bought the car to currently. I pull over and let it rest, I didn't see complaints in past about this from others until now, so I thought I now must report as well. I didn't know if it was engine, speedometer, fuel related, gas pedal or what, but now realizing it's engine issues due to a recall notice I got in the mail and a civil lawsuit action is currently in the process.

Electronic Stability Control problem #78

Positive battery terminal caused irregular voltage and burn the engine control module ecm to burn/die causing car to stop while on movement.

Electronic Stability Control problem #79

I just purchased my 2010 Nissan Sentra used from reputable car dealership 3/4/16. On 7/10/2016 my battery died and was completely dead and could not be recharged. On 10/4/16 I was waiting on my daughter to get off of work. The car starting trying to die out. I turned off vehicle checked all my lubricants and radiator everything was fine. She got in was in process of backing up car electrical systems(dash lights, head lights, and all the other warning lights) started flashing car felt like it was hesitating and died out. Could not get to crank. Used jumper box to check battery battery was not completely dead. We pushed vehicle back into parking place and let battery charge. Car would start but not catch. Few days later battery completely dead. Read about recall associated with my vehicle. Loose positive cable terminal causing drop in voltage essentially damaging ecm. Vehicle towed to Nissan dealership. Diagnosis is ecm is dead and needs replaced, positive terminal cable needs replaced. Cost of repair $1250. 00 and now I am having to pay to fix repairs. Per Nissan dealership and Nissan corporate my VIN number was not part of the recall and therefore will not be covered by them. Definitely not right especially when diagnosis is exactly what recall of 33,803 vehicles was for.

Electronic Stability Control problem #80

Takata recall; after purchasing vehicle and driving for about 10 minutes; check engine light suddenly comes on prior to picking up speed to enter highway; vehicle abruptly loses power at a speed of 65 miles per hour and stalls in traffic causing a near fatal traffic accident; after running the VIN number in NHTSA database vehicle was never recalled for grossly negligent issue with crankshaft and camshaft position sensors. This leads me to the fact that vehicle manufacturer never contacted original owner concerning this terrible safety issue. After finding out about two outstanding recalls that were never addressed in which the vehicle has exhibited potential catastrophic consequences based upon the manufacturers product defect it was uncovered that the vehicle has a potential fatal issue with the passenger side airbag. I am extremely terrified to operate this vehicle and my experience on October 1, 2016 of operating this vehicle and it losing power abruptly risking my life and limb has caused me extreme depression, stress, and mental anguish. If these issues are not corrected immediately as a remedy at law with the nearest Nissan dealer including towing at manufacturer's expense, I and the texas office of the attorney general will pursue a gross product liability negligence legal action against Nissan based upon my legal advice and texas law; which clearly states that in a product liability dispute the statute of limitations is 15 years from sale unless manufacturer says useful life is longer. Texas civil practice & remedies code ann. § 16. 012. Thank you for your time and attention to this serious safety matter.

Electronic Stability Control problem #81

I am filing this complaint against the Nissan motor cooperation for faulty craftsmanship in 2013 Nissan Sentra that I purchased in jacksonville, fla. I have had to take my car autonation nissian in orange park fla three times due electrical shortage in the car electrical system. While driving the car, the car traction control light comes on all over sudden. The car then brakes and slows down. I attempted to try and turn off the traction control light but then a second light appears on the dash board. In addition you also lose acceleration when this happens. The mechanic, shop foreman, and service advisers came to conclusion that this is due to excessive moisture in the taillight which causes the car to automatically brake while driving and causes a shortage in electrical system. I was advised that the tail light should have been sealed at the factory. Nissan wants me to pay $491 which I dont have. They then said I would only have to pay a $100 of which I dont have. Since I have had this nissian Sentra I have had nothing but problems in what was suppose to be a brand new car. This is a very dangerous problem and could cause a bad accident with this car electrical system shorting out. I feel that Nissan should be responsible for all cost because I not the one that manufactured the car and I shouldn't be held liable for there poor craftsmanship.

Electronic Stability Control problem #82

The steering wheel does not stay in place, therefore it's very scary to try to drive on the highway , Nissan dealer does not want to fix it they want me to pay for the defective due to warranty.

Electronic Stability Control problem #83

I was coming to a complete stop and the breaks did not stop the car forcing me to hit someone. I always had trouble with the breaks with forced me to change them every so often. This time was tough.

Electronic Stability Control problem #84

Driving & all gauges in dashboard turned off. The same day, the car didn't respond normally when gas pedal was pressed. The gas pedal was pressed several times before car took in gas. Parked car, & later that day restarted car. Car again didn't respond well when pressing accelerator. Gauges still non operational. Car died & battery tested by aaa. Battery found to be ok, but charging system was issue. Towed to tow yard & told alternator needed to be replaced. New, not rebuilt, alternator replaced by cousin & fuse (not sure which one) was found to be blown & replaced. Gauges worked after fuse & alternator replaced. Check engine light came on several days later. Cked car on auto zones free diagnostic tool & diagnostic trouble code u1001 can communication line & p0462 secondary code given. Car died again bout week later & towed to pep boys. Pep boys said battery needed replacement, so I had aaa test it & aaa said its the charging system. Aaa replaced the battery after much ado. Car taken back to pep boys for 'electronic diagnosis' & they said alternator! alternator tested at separate battery shop & tested fine. Later found meter fuse blown. Took to mechanic specializing in electrical & he scanned pcm & found no communication on data lines. Had blown meter fuse causing false code. Mechanic cleared out codes & test drove. He ckd charge 14. 2 volts. Mechanic told me to bring it in if happens again. Well, happened again & replaced meter fuse & ck engine light on again. Electrical mechanic said it's a short somewhere & I'd have to leave car for maybe several days. Had a friend inspect under dashboard & cked under the gear shifter & ckd speedometer wires & didn't find any shorts. Googled "meter fuse Nissan Sentra" & meter fuse has created a lot of problems. Problems listed on forums. I've already spent $550, can't afford to pay Nissan $150 diagnostic fee yet.

Electronic Stability Control problem #85

Friday March 11, 2016 while driving to work on the george bush turnpike where the speed limit is 70 mph my car loss all power and would not restart, luckily it was 5:30am when the traffic was light and I felt the power starting to dwindle and was able to reach the shoulder without injury. I'm leasing the car from drivetime of irving and was not informed of this defect. I found out through my research trying to figure out what was wrong with the that was a November 2007 recall. I am amazed that these cars are still on the road and being sold with no warning. Thank god that I was one of the lucky ones and not accident occurred.

Electronic Stability Control problem #86

Rear end fishtails under speedlimit. Especially at a turn on dry road its fish tails. Sometimes I feel like im in a lowrider 3 wheelin down my street. Electric p. S pull to the left way to much and sometime also to the right.

Electronic Stability Control problem #87

I've had the car for a while, about 4 months ago the oil light cam on I figured it just meant I was running low, I've never been in accident but some how my oil line is leaking.

Electronic Stability Control problem #88

Engine die while driving on the fwy & won't restart. Been close to cause an accident. Happening very often. . .

Electronic Stability Control problem #89

I have a crank shaft position sensor problem in my 2006 Nissan Sentra 1. 8s which kills the engine. While driving the engine may shut off very abruptly without warning. Even while driving on the highway the vehicle may cut off. I called the dealership and they said my VIN didn't qualify for the recall even though it's within the manufacture date range for the recall. I even emailed the Nissan corporate office. It's a known issue and part of a recall but Nissan refuses to fix the problem. Only a matter of time before I get in an accident due to this known issue. I shouldn't have to pay to have a manufacturing defect fixed. When I called the Nissan dealer, I was told that I was the 3rd person that had called that day with the exact same problem and neither or the previous people were "part of the recall" either. I wonder how many accidents it'll take before Nissan will actually honor the recall.

Electronic Stability Control problem #90

On more than one occasion, my car cut off on me while driving. The issue began around March of 2015. Three times my car cut off on me driving down a busy road. The other few times were on local roads. As a result, I often had to push, wait it out (car eventually would start/crank over about an hour later) or call geico to toll it for me. Each of those times, I was fortunate not to cause a major accident. After having what I felt was a near death experience, I took my car to several autozones, a local shop, and a Nissan dealership. Each of them informed me that it was the crank shaft sensor. Upon further research, I learned that there was a recall for this part. I contacted Nissan north America, spoke with a representative and filed a claim. At a later date, I was informed that my car was not apart of that recall nor was it covered under the warranty. I asked the young lady, "what if lives were harmed or worse, lost due to this mechanical malfunction?" she kindly replied "I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but you're car was not included in our recall". I'm just baffled at the idea that a car that could cut off at any moment on a major highway would be cast aside because some how it was missed during the recall round up. I'm not sure where or how far this complaint will go. However, after reading similar ones on the internet, I can't help but wonder why this issue hasn't been addressed by the media. Than again, I think I know why.

Electronic Stability Control problem #91

Driving alongon a major highway 301 in the state of gerogia and the car cut off and would not restart. Towed to local dealership. Was told that battery terminal caused computer to malfunction.

Electronic Stability Control problem #92

The car shut of while driving at 65 mph. Lucky it was late at night and I was able to coast the car to the shoulder. The car restarted after 10 minutes drove about 2 miles and it shut of again. This time I called my father and had the car towed home. The mechanic indicated that it was a crankshaft and camshaft sensor issue.

Electronic Stability Control problem #93

I was operating my vehicle on riverside drive in studio city, California when the vehicle shook abruptily followed a few seconds later with a loud explosion. Debris and oil sprayed onto my hood and I had to nearly avoid an accident as my car was completely out of control. I was able to turn the wheel slightly and pull to the side. It was at this point the vehicle caught fire under the hood and I immediately got out of the vehicle. My father who was following me ran to the nearest gas station in an attempt to calm the flames while I called 911. The vehicle was still on fire when the fire department arrived. Eventually they were able to put the flames out and open the hood. Under the hood you can see a fire starting from the electrical and battery area leading to the engine. The car was deemed a total loss a few days later by my insurance. It appeared the battery overheated.

Electronic Stability Control problem #94

Vehicle turns off by itself while driving, transmission needs to be replaced, and a lot of issues with the engine.

Electronic Stability Control problem #95

While taking vehicle to dealer to el paso casa Nissan for drift/ pull and constant input to keep in center line on windy day and trany on up hill faliure from a dead start. My wife's vehicle stall and shake almost like engine will shut, almost on stop on breaking. Happened. Twice, first at stop light about half mile away from my house, secon at gas station about 3 miles away. A/c on.

Electronic Stability Control problem #96

I was driving down highway 138 union city when my vehicle started to shutter like it was going to stall. When I stopped at the red light the vehicle electrical load dropped and the car would not crank back up. I was able to jump it off and the car had no issues I had the battery tested and alternator tested both are good/.

Electronic Stability Control problem #97

I have the same issues as described in your investigation "pe14-014. " in addition, while driving the vehicle on a paved road at approximately 45 mph, all of a sudden, it was as if the vehicle took over the steering, causing me to hit a curb. No damage was incurred, however it was very scary. My concern is obvious, what if the vehicle does this again when I am driving on a freeway @ 65 mph? this was not an isolated incident when "the vehicle" hit the curb. The ability to be in control of the steering has been taken over by the car several times. This is a new car and I find it extremely hard to believe I am having all these problems. These are not everyday general maintenance issues. These are major issues which could easily cause a serious accident whereby I would probably be found to be at fault, when the real person at fault is the vehicle manufacturer! this is being documented and saved by me should, god forbid, a serious accident happens. Any direction you may have is appreciated.

Electronic Stability Control problem #98

Takata recall on multiple occasions while driving on streets and highways, the vehicle seems to be stuck on a lower gear or not transitioning to a higher gear. The most noticeable issue is related to the rpm's getting extremely high with little or no increase in overall speed. The most recent incident occurred while on the freeway, as I was attempting to increase my speed the vehicle slowly accelerated up to 45 - 50 mph but the rpm's reflected 6,500+ before the vehicle would start to jerk at this point I had no choice but to move towards the emergency lane/shoulder fearing that it would abruptly stop working or lose momentum. This instance happened on two occasions during this drive while on the freeway and it seemed to stop after the second time I pulled over but only after I cycled through the park/neutral/reverse/drive/low gears a few times. Based on this second instance, I feel this issue is related to the transmission for the vehicle.

Electronic Stability Control problem #99

I don't know what the fuck is happening with my car but this thing called limp mode has caused Mini near fatal accidents over the past year I shouldn't have to disconnect my battery or reset the computer on my car to have my vehicle drive safely I don't even know what the hell is wrong with my car can't find anything out about it online and it seems like many people have the same problem and the rear brakes are drum brakes with the master cylinder and the brakes seems to just want to bunch of fucking bullshit it's not safe I don't know what the fuck I'm supposed to do it's not safe it's not safe it's not safe fix it make Nissan pull their head out of their ass and fucking fix it.

Electronic Stability Control problem #100

The morning started off with having problems with esf lght, and hand brake light even though hand brake was not applied. I tried to pull over many times, and fix lights but nothing worked. I was at a red light, then it turned green and street traffic proceededd to drive forward but a car 3 cars in front of me stopped abruptly. The car in front of me , had enough time to stop , but my Nissan Sentra hit the back of the car in front of me. I think that the car and its systems malfunctioned and I would like it investigated , because my accident could have been avoided. I am hurt from this accident, and so is the driver from the car in front of me.

Electronic Stability Control problem #101

After driving for about 10 minutes, the transmission did not want to come out of low gear. At 35 mph, I was at about 6,000rpms in drive. I confirmed the overdrive off button is not engaged, nor is it in "l", and the emergency brake is off. When it has been cooled off for about 3+ hours, it will drive fairly normal for about 10-12 minutes until warmed up, then it all starts again. Even once it is cooled off, there is a slight drag on power and it will begin to have erratic shifting (similar to a regular automatic transmission slipping) after a few minutes on take off it feels like the parking brake is on, but it is not. Electronic Stability Control problem #102

My car transmission is under warranty but dealership would not fix it, they say purple fluid is not Nissan certified but I have proof that transmission fluid was never changed, it seems coolant has contaminated the transmission fluid.

Electronic Stability Control problem #103

Vehicle "jerks" when under load & throttle is applied. Replaced 4 ignition coils, & throttle position sensor. No change in vehicle's performance. Vehicle will also not accelerate over 3000 rpm's. Mechanic said I needed to contact Nissan regarding applicable safety recall that was likely the problem, which I did. Nissan said there was no safety recalls applicable to my vehicle. I told mechanic this, & he insist's that there most certainly is.

Electronic Stability Control problem #104

The contact owns a 2002 Nissan Sentra. While driving approximately 15 mph, the vehicle stalled intermittently. There were no warning indicators illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing and it was discovered that the electronic control module failed. The vehicle was repaired. The failures were identical to those mentioned in the recall; however, her VIN was excluded. The VIN and NHTSA campaign id number were unknown. The failure and current mileages were 40,000.
