The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Titan. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30 mph making a turn, a loud clicking noise emitted from the rear of the vehicle. The failure progressed within a thirty day period. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where they stated that the rear differential would need to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was notified and stated that there was not a recall pertaining to the malfunction. The approximate failure mileage was 58,700.

2 Clunking Noise problem

Failure Date: 07/08/2008

The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Titan. The contact stated that while driving approximately 50 mph, a loud clunking noise emitted from the rear of the vehicle. The contact maneuvered the vehicle to the side of the road and then the vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer. The dealer replaced the rear assembly. Two years after the repair was performed, the identical failure recurred. The vehicle was again towed to an independent mechanic and the rear differential was replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 3,400.
