My Titan stalls while driving, a very dangerous situation! replaced the recalled ecm relay, that worked for a couple of weeks, then the same issue. From everything I have researched, the ipdm is also a culprit but Nissan won't recall/replace these.
I was looking on this website and seen 6 recalls for the 2005 Nissan Titan which I have and and noticed there was a recall for the wire harness on the driverside rear door. Well all those wires are broken off no music from the rear speakers on either side. I'm having problems were I try to accelerate and the truck barely wants to move and sometimes takes long to finally start. When your idling it sounds as if it's going to break down. When the a. C. Is on it makes a very loud annoying sound. I've added pics of what I found on your website as I've included a pic of the frayed wires from the harness and Nissan of melbourne isn't trying to fix this being a recalled part.
Driving down a busy road on my way home from work and vehicle sputters as if out of fuel until it died. Could not get truck to crank and was clearly a lack of fuel. Fuel gauge read 1/4 tank full exactly as described in campaign 10v074000. Fortunatrly a police officer assisted in pushing my truck into a parking lot. I called a family member to drive up with a gas container to put a few gallons in. Sure enough, cranked right up. The following day, I contacted Nissan of USA, my vehicle was not included in the campaign and because of the age and mileage of my truck I would not receive assistance in the repair of this manufacturer defect.
I was driving down the hwy and my engine shut down. I made it to the shoulder, put it in park turn the key off then starts right back up. Started yesterday, and does it about every ten miles. Starts right back up every time. Sounds like the ipdm but fenton Nissan in lees summit missouri said my trucks not recalled. Please help! no spit and sputter, it just dies out of no where. It almost caused a rear end collision while pullin on interstate. This relay problem is very unsafe. Please help!.
The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Titan. While driving 50 mph, the vehicle lost power without warning and restarted after several attempts. A local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer informed the contact that he would have to pay for diagnostic testing. The failure mileage was unknown.
I was driving and made a turn from one major street to the next. I merged into the middle lane of a 3 lane road and my truck completely lost power. The vehicle behind me squealed its tires to avoid running into the back of me. I let the truck continue to move without applying brakes or I would have ended up stalled in the middle of a 3 lane busy road. The truck wouldn't even turn into the very right land without me turning the wheel hard. I pulled off onto a side street and called aaa. The vehicle register at a 1/4 of a tank of gas. The aaa driver added $2 worth of gas to the tank but it did not start. I was towed to a aaa approved shop about 2 miles away and when the shop owner went to take the truck off the tow bed it started right up. The owner said that it was just out of gas even though the gauge read a 1/4 of a tank. I went directly to a gas station and it took 25. 695 gallons of gas. There is a recall for 2005 Nissan Titans but my VIN number is not pulling it up. Nhtsa campaign number 10v074000 instrument panel fuel gauge.
The fuel gauge does not read correctly below approximately a quarter tank. It occasionally will stick and fluctuate but always around a quarter tank and below. The first time I realized the problem I had to have my truck towed home, thinking it was something major when all I did was run out of gas.
Lost power to vehicle while driving, power steering, brakes, etc. Narrowly avoided accident. Gas gauge indicated a quarter tank of gas when it was actually empty. Contacted Nissan, they said there was recall for this for the year make and model, but my VIN was not included in the recall.
The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Titan. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the contact attempted to open the rear doors and the air bags warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure had been recurring, and the vehicle was taken to a local dealer several years ago however, no failure was found. The contact related the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 06v459000 (electrical system); however, the vehicle was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 52,000.
Tl- the contact owns a 2005 Nissan Titan. The contact stated that when driving various speeds, the fuel gauge reading would fluctuate even though the fuel tank was empty. The failure recurred despite the actual fuel level. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for diagnosis. There was a voluntary recall issued by the manufacturer that was related to the same defect. The contact¿s VIN was not included and the vehicle was not repaired. In addition, the air conditioning unit and heater would not circulate air properly through the vents when activated. There was also an abnormal clicking noise heard from the vehicle. There were also occasions when the air conditioner would independently shut off. The air conditioner blower motor was replaced by the dealer however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was unavailable. Kmj.
While driving down the highway the truck stalled and lost all power. After getting to the shoulder of the highway, the truck still had battery power and wanted to crank to start but acted like it wasn't getting gas. After calling around we determined thru a Nissan service advisor that we should try filling the tank with gas, even though I was telling him it read between a quarter and half a tank. After putting in 5 gallons and turning the key and cranking it a few seconds, it started right up. It has done this at various times since this first occurence and continues to vary. I now have to keep no less than half a tank of gas at all times or I will suddenly lose power and have to pull off. Nissan has a voluntary safety recall campaign 2005-2009 armada and Titan fuel gauge inaccuracy, campaign id#r1010 & NHTSA#10v-074, but say that it does not include my VIN. I have tried repeatedly to ask Nissan how this safety campaign does not affect my vehicle if it too has the same problem, as I've been told its the fuel sending unit which is what this recall campaign covers.
Tl * the contact owns a 2005 Nissan Titan. The contact stated that the air bag warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that the vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign id number 06v459000 (electrical system) but the parts needed to complete the repair were not available. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 90,000 and the current mileage was 106,000.
Driving north on the highway @ 70mph, vehicle backfired and engine shut down, no power steering or brakes. Moved vehicle off the highway, cranked but would not start. Left vehicle for the day and returned and replaced a recalled (but known good replacement) ecm relay and vehicle started and ran correctly but showed ses light and code showed p0335 crk pos sensor. This vehicle had a catastrophic failure while driving which represented a serious hazard to both the driver and surrounding vehicles should the driver has panicked in this situation and heavy traffic. To date the vehicle is a Nissan facility and still has not been repaired at great expense and inconvenience to the owner.
The actuator in the vehicle makes clicking noise in dash after turning the ac/heat from off to on or after shutting the vehicle off.
I was having an issue with my engine stalling with around 97,900 miles on my 2005 Nissan Titan. At this time, my check engine light also came on. I took it to the dealership to get the problem code read and they said I had faulty bank 1 and bank 2 catalytic converters. The dealer said the stalling was due to a recall, NHTSA campaign id number: 10v517000. My complaint is that I had no problem with my catalytic converters until this recall issue. Since my catalytic converters and exhaust manifold are one piece, it cost $2,827. 28 to have them replaced and I do not feel I should have to pay this, since this problem stemmed from their recall issue.
Took my truck to the dealership several times and told them that my manual shifter was intermittent. They said they could not find anything wrong with it. But when I left the dealership it was not working. It finally stop working at all. Took it back to the dealership and they found a broken ground wire. The cost of the part 413. 00 labor 375. 00. I did not get it repaired because of the cost. I went online and researched it and found it for 253. 00 and putting it in would be easy for myself. After a couple of hours on research on how to install this, I came across several sections of people with the same problem. Come to find out Nissan is aware of this problem. Being that over time shifting gears made the wires break. How is it that certified repair centers don't keep up on these problems. I spent a lot of time going back and forth to the dealership. And why isn't Nissan covering the problem. I'm very disappointed in Nissan for this and has made me change my mind about my next vehicle purchase.
Nissan Titan stalled in the middle of the road. I was driving running errands when suddenly my truck stalled in the middle of the road, I was able to coast to the shoulder lane to let traffic through and to avoid getting hit. I was able to start the engine back and headed home. I did a little research online and came to find out that Nissan Titan is having this problem with the ipdm ecu relay. I think Nissan should address this problem before somebody gets hurt or worse killed.
Truck was stalling and dying, has happened a couple of times. Took truck to dealership to repair, dealer said the problem was the ipdm (module) and replaced it with my extended warranty. Dealer also informed me that I can expect my catalytic converters to go out in the near future, because the ipdm is an important part for controlling the way the engine runs. If this is the cause of greater problems in the future for my truck, they should really look into getting the problem fixed.

1. Truck will randomly stall while running or in idle position. This occurred starting around March 1st of 2010 and increased in occurrence up until it was towed to northern auto of berkeley michigan the morning of may 28th. The vehicle had been in to northern auto twice between March 1st and may 28th, but could not be fixed because the problem could not be replicated by their mechanics. When it was towed in the morning of may 28th to northern auto, they were able to replicate the issue and recommended it be taken to the Nissan dealership. The vehicle was towed from northern auto of berkeley michigan to the Nissan dealership of troy michigan on the afternoon of may 28th of 2010. 2. The stalls would happen sporadically while driving at speeds below 40 mph or idle. The vehicle would lose all power, hence rendering the power steering and brakes useless. This did not cause any accidents but has the potential to do so, because the vehicle loses significant stopping and steering power while still moving. At one point the vehicle completely shut down while traveling at approximately 30 mph. 3. The Nissan dealership of troy michigan reported the problem was a faulty ecm relay on the internal power distribution module (ipdm). The dealership recommended and is replacing the entire ipdm.

Nissan ipdm (intelligent power distribution module) which houses the fuel pump relay will inadvertently shut off power to the fuel pump. It has happened to me from a parked vehicle and has also happened to me while I was driving down the road. There is no timed sequence as to when this happens, but when it does you lose power to the vehicle immediately. The vehicle will re-start after sitting for 10 minutes, but may cut out again 15 minutes later.
My 2005 Nissan Titan mode door actuator started clicking. As I researched this problem online I have found that a number of people have had this same problem with all model years of Nissan Titans.
Fuel gage consistently stops working when it reaches 1/2 of gas burned.
Rear axle seals, locks, & gaskets need to be replaced and the dealer is charging approx. $800 to fix the problem. The oil is leaking onto the wheels from the axle problem. The switch for the driver controlled windows is out and the air pressure light comes on almost 80% of the time. The driver seat belt appears to jam and won't come undone or latch on most of the time.
