On the 2008 Nissan Titan there is a design flaw that may cause injury or death. The headlamps and turn signal are on the same switch. When signaling a turn the headlight position changes. When operating the vehicle at night this is especially dangerous as you will lose all exterior and interior lights. It is confusing to the operator of the vehicle as the operator must react rapidly to locate the switch and regain some idea of the location of the vehicle. In addition operators of oncoming vehicles may be confused by the headlights flashing on/off. The defect has other accident possibilities as the switch may have gone to the off position during daylight hours and the automatic switch would not operate as expected leaving a person traveling past the twilight hours with out road lights.
Engine temperature indicator light which illuminates the hot/cold needle, is offset to the needle and shines in the face of the driver. The dealer changed the gauge but the problem was the same. The dealer says there is a manufacturing defect with no fix in the works. I have checked the armada and found the same problem.
While driving vehicle vibrated uncontrollably on its own. Also, interior dome light flashed on and off intermittently. Consumer took the vehicle to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined that tires needed to be replaced. Consumer informed the mechanic that the problem recurred, and had not been resolved.
