I have a 2018 Nissan Titan sv xd, since we purchased this vehicle new there is now warning buzzer for the driver seat if the seat belt is unbuckled and your driving, this also applies if there is a passenger in the front who is not buckled up, the only thing that shows is a icon on the instrument cluster. At one point we addressed this issue with the dealership service department only to tell us this is normal. . As a serious seat belt user when driving, we feel that this is a big safety issue with no buzzer warning of a unbuckled seat belt while driving. We purchased this vehicle new in April 2019. This issue was brought to the dealers attention in may 2019.

Notes from email received from Nissan shop 'tech found driver side seat belt assembly need to be replace for the airbag light to go off' and ' its the seat belt buckle so its hard to say if it will keep you in ur seat or discharge the system if in an accident. So the system will not work as designed with the light on. ' this same model had a seatbelt recall Nissan recall : wire harness 2005 Nissan Titan so I wanted to see if this was a related issue. The company said it was not covered and I will have to pay $650 for this safety issue. The truck is older but only has 93k miles on it as my dad was the original owner and was in failing help. Thank you.

I was looking on this website and seen 6 recalls for the 2005 Nissan Titan which I have and and noticed there was a recall for the wire harness on the driverside rear door. Well all those wires are broken off no music from the rear speakers on either side. I'm having problems were I try to accelerate and the truck barely wants to move and sometimes takes long to finally start. When your idling it sounds as if it's going to break down. When the a. C. Is on it makes a very loud annoying sound. I've added pics of what I found on your website as I've included a pic of the frayed wires from the harness and Nissan of melbourne isn't trying to fix this being a recalled part.
While driving one the highway I noticed my vehicle start to shutter and shut down as if it ran out of gas. My fuel gauge said half a tank so I didn't think it was the problem until I walked to the gas station to fill up a gas can. I put 2 gallons of gas into my fuel tank that said I had a half a tank. I started my truck and it started. Since that incident it has happened 3 times, the most recent being yesterday 07/02/18. I replaced the fuel pump today in hopes that it fixes the problem.
I have air bag warning light, blinking I scan it and this codes came out b1081 and b1019, also abs lights pup up too.

I purchased a new 2017 Nissan Titan xd from tim dahle Nissan - southtowne on 11/25/17. Prior to pick up I requested the dealer complete an open safety recall regarding the rear seat belts. The recall is 17v-268. I was informed by the dealership that the recall had been competed prior to delivery to me. Several weeks later I was informed by Nissan corporate that the above noted recall had not been completed as I had been told. It is illegal for the dealership to sell a new vehicle with an open safety recall. This is a clear violation of existing federal law. The dealer has been made aware and made zero attempt to rectify the matter or offer to complete the recall.

The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Titan. The contact stated that the wiring harness failed. The contact was concerned that the driver and passenger frontal seat belts may not operate as intended in the event of a crash. The contact was concerned that the driver and passenger seat belts may retract abnormally and cause extreme tightness. The contact was repairing the vehicle himself. The contact located the wiring harness on the rear passenger door and discovered that it did not have a protective shield. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing. The approximate failure mileage was 150,447.
Keep getting a recall notification for our truck. However check the VIN # out and it says nothing is there. But in the mail today it says there is still a recall for the wire harness routed through the rear doors on the campaign # 06v-459.

The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Titan. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 17v268000 (seat belts); however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer (clay cooley Nissan, 39690 lyndon b johnson fwy, dallas, TX 75237) was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. The manufacturer was contacted at 800-424-9153 on October 25, 2017 and was made aware of the issue. The manufacturer stated that the parts were to become available next week. The contact waited over a month and called the manufacturer back at the same number, but they were not able to confirm when the parts were to become available. Case number: 28651546 was provided. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
Nissan previously issued a recall dealing with the wiring harness issue, #06v459000 to reroute and change the wiring cover. This affects the airbags and the operation of the seat belts, as well as the audio system. The airbag light is flashing and the rear passenger door speaker doesn't work. The recall was just a temporary cover up of the problem. The issue came up again and they refuse to fix it, wanting to charge upwards of $1000 to replace the wiring harnesss, a problem they are already aware of. The recall did not fix the problem, only a temporary cover-up.
While driving on my property, my 2010 Nissan Titan's side curtain airbags deployed the vehicle was not in any auto crash it did not roll or anything nothing was hit.

Tl the contact owns a 2005 Nissan Titan. While the vehicle was stationary and while driving various speeds, the seat belts and air bags failed to operate properly. When the contact fastened the driver's seat belt to the harness, the message "seat belt, air bags" immediately flashed on the instrument panel. In addition, the contact stated that the fuel tank failed on more than one occasion. Upon filling the fuel tank halfway, fuel spilled onto the ground. It took the contact approximately five minutes or more to fill the fuel tank halfway. Courtesy Nissan of tampa (3800 west hillsborough avenue, tampa, florida 33614, (813) 235-0318) diagnosed that the wiring harness was faulty and needed to be replaced. I received a recall notice in the mail this week: recall 06v-459 about the airbag warning light flashing, seat belts not working properly, etc. My vehicle is having all of the problems listed so as instructed I brought my vehicle to the Nissan dealership along with the letter. They informed me that they would not fix the problem because it "was not in their system". Stating they do not understand why I got a notice in the mail. Clearly my vehicle is having these exact problems and they are required to fix them, but they still refused to fix or diagnose for free as required by law. Very disappointing in Nissan for disregarding my family's safety.

The rear seatbelts on my 2011 Nissan Titan crew cab lock up while there is passengers in the rear seat. They are causing them to become so uncomfortable that I have to stop and let them reset the belts, unbuckling and relatching. This works for a few minutes and the procedure starts all over again. The Nissan dealer said they cannot repair this problem. The dealer said "this is for child seat restraints". I'm carrying adults, not children and these adults are very uncomfortable to continue on with this issue.

Shortly after a rainstorm this vehicle (Nissan Titan 2006) was being driven late at night on an unpaved country road in the vicinity of webster parish, la. As the road was wet and the visibility was very limited it was being driven no faster than about 20 miles per hour when they ran into a rut in the road with the left front tire and that caused the airbags to deploy. When the vehicle ran into the rut in the road it tilted very slightly and then righted itself. There was no exterior damage to the vehicle and there were no injuries to the people riding in the vehicle. The vehicle was then driven to the local Nissan dealership and they contacted Nissan who said that the airbags had deployed properly and they would not pay any part of replacing them or the seat belts. The Nissan representative also said that the vehicles computer sent out an error code that the vehicle had rolled over. Also, when we discussed this issue with another Nissan trained and certified technician, we were told that 7 out of 10 Titans have issues with their computers and that the sensor under the vehicle is prone to come loose. It doesn't seem logical that a minor incident like this could cause the airbags to deploy and have to be replaced along with the seat belts unless the system in this vehicle was defective. It cost more than $5,000 to replace the airbags and the seat belts and Nissan would not pay any of this amount.
I own a 2005 Nissan Titan king cab, which I purchased it in November of 2005. After, approximately 30days of ownership and 500 miles of travel; the front brakes began to experience complications (they would shudder while braking and create an unreasonable amount of brake dust. ) I quickly return to my local dealership where I purchased it, for servicing. The Nissan dealership repaired the rotors. During the summer of 2006, I began to notice a musty odor emitting from the floor and carpeting of the passenger side. During a routine oil change and requested the mechanic to inspect the truck for the cause of the odor. They couldn't locate the source of the odor. I returned the truck to the dealership for the same problem on several other occasions, during the summer of 2007 odor reappeared; they replaced the rubber gasket around door windows in hopes of resolving the issue. Meanwhile the front brakes rotors were replaced again and the gauges (fuel, oil, tach ,voltmeter) acting erratically. The dealership repaired the brakes under my extended warranty & prorated my purchase of a new Nissan auto battery; according to service dept. This was the cause of the gauges malfunction. Then again in2008, I was told the brakes were no longer under warranty and that the musty odor was caused by water coming into the cabin via a small void in the window sealant around the "factory installed windshield upon hearing this, I chose to take my truck to another mechanic due to Nissan mechanic inability to resolve the brake issue & locate the source of the water. This year 2009, the rear end was repaired due the seals leaking on the driver's side and preventive replacement on the passenger seals. However, a few old issues along with new ones that still exist. My new mechanic told me the source of the water & odor issue is the a/c condenser leaking into the cabin, the blinking air bag indicator light was due to a harness needing replacing in the rear doors.
I bought a 07 Nissan Titan in July of 07. Right away I found that the controls on the steering wheel were not working. Including the air bag. I had it fixed right away. Then it happened again in Dec 08. I once again had the problem fixed. I was in a head on collision on Jan, 23 at 8:30 pm. I was going 45 miles an hour and hit a cement and medal signal pole. The impact was in the center on the truck. My seatbelt did not lock and my air bag did not deploy. When you buy a new car the safety is part of what you are paying for and when it does not work it is very scary.
The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Titan. While driving approximately 60 mph on normal road conditions, the rear shoulder seat belts prevented the occupant from leaning or moving forward. The failure was persistent. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for inspection and they stated that the shoulder seat belts were operating properly. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 29,000 and current mileage was 35,000.
Nhtsa campaign id number: 06v459000 I was told that this recall does not apply to my vehicle, but I do have this problem, and I do have the vehicle mentioned. I was told by Nissan and the dealership that my vehicle's VIN is not part of the campaign.
On 6/20/2008 I went to a Nissan dealership to resolve a recall item to replace rear door wiring harness, recall # r0616. The recall was performed and in the process the dealership also replaced lh-pretensioner, seatbelt and body harness, and reset airbag warning light. On 6/03/2013, the airbag warning light came on and I went to a nearby Nissan dealership and was advised that I would have to replace the lh-pretensioner, seatbelt and body harness, I informed the service advisor that this work was already accomplished once and that I had the documents if he needed them. The service advisor then stated that since the work was accomplished five years ago that even though the parts are a safety item that they were no longer under warranty, resulting in a 574. 30 charge of which I paid. My contention is that this is a safety item, and thus should not have a warranty restriction, I am not sure if the truck is even safe to drive.
The contact owns a 2004 Nissan Titan. While driving 55 mph, the driver could not stop the vehicle after applying the brakes. The vehicle went over an embankment. As a result, the driver sustained fatal injuries. The contact was unsure if the airbags deployed. The vehicle is presently being held by the hwy patrol. The vehicle had been taken for brake repairs 7 times and was released to the contact saying that the brakes were fine. Prior to the crash the brakes had failed in October and the contact had the vehicle serviced and filed a complaint. The service manager told the contact that he believed that there was still something wrong with the vehicle and was fired from his position. During prior failures, the abs warning light became illuminated. The contact has reported the failures to Nissan with no resolution. The current and failure mileages were 83,000. This is the second complain that the contact has filed. The prior incident reported was 10/07 updated 01/24/08 the dealer stated performed recall dealing with seat belt, heating and a/c is intermittent, vehicle is overheating and rear taillights inoperable. Updated 01/24/08.
- the contact stated that all passenger seat belts on the 2004 Nissan Titan intermittently go to the child restraint mode when being used by in the adult passenger mode. The passenger must remove the seat belt, return it to the retracted position, and reconnect the seat belt. It happened most often on a bumpy road surface at 20 mph. Updated 03/02/07.
The rear seat seat-belts of my Nissan Titan truck will tighten into a locked position causing the passenger to become immobilized against the seat back. The only way to undo the locked seat-belt is to completely disengage it, and then re-lock it. However, it's then just a matter of time before it locks up again forcing the passenger to unlock it. This is obviously a safety hazard, because the passenger has to undo their seat-belt while the vehicle is in motion so they can move. I have complained to the Nissan dealer and they have replaced the seat belts on three different occasions, but the problem persists, and they say they can't fix them. I have verified with other 2006 Nissan Titan owners and they have noted the same problem, and the Nissan dealer admitted they have had others with the same problem. They need to redesign the rear seat belts or use different types that won't tighten and lock up when people are simply sitting in them, which creates this serious safety hazard. I always insist that anyone riding with me use the seat belts, but I have noted on occasion that some have released them without telling me, because the seat belt had locked up on them, causing too much discomfort. Maybe you can get Nissan to correct this serious safety problem, because they won't listen to me (they simply replace the defective seat belt with a similar defective one).
On the Nissan 2006 Titan le, the front seat belts will not full retract when unbuckled. If not noticed prevents the door from fully closing or if the door does close on the belt, the person wearing the belt is not fully restrained. In the event of a crash could be thrown into the windshield or from the vehicle. This seat belt defect was reported to the dealer and the reply was " they are all like that".
Since purchasing my truck in August of 2004 I have experienced several brake related issues. I've taken the truck to the same dealer for service on each failure/issue. The break issues experienced have been brake lights turning on, brakes shuddering, the truck not braking properly, brakes not working until the pedal was almost completely pressed. Recently the truck failed to stop resulting in a rear end collision. The dealer has replaced/resurfaced rotors, brake pads and replaced sensors during the past year and a half. However, I continue to experience issue after issue regarding the brakes. I have had other defects as well, but the brake issues have been the primary issue.
The seat belt anchors on the rear seats are too high since there are no height adjustments for the seat belt; shorter passengers do not use the seat belt at all since the belt cuts into their neck.
