My car's check engine light and the airbag indicator lights came up. The dealer diagnosed the problem and it was a faulty fuel level sending unit for the check engine light and for the airbag light was due to a bad airbag control unit and clock spring. The car was never in an accident and had around 80k miles on it when this happened.
The car as many others have been noted for the years 2007 and 2008 has been to the shop to correct the cranking no start problem. As per Nissan technical bulletin the fuel regulator was replaced and the problem occurred the next day and has continued to do so. The dealer has no idea what the cause is.
Bought 2007 Nissan Versa in July 07. Fuel door was not connected at purchase time. Dealer reconnected but it became disconnected again in March 09. Simple to reconnect but a pain to have to keep doing it.
