Traffic stopped suddenly when I hit my brakes they failed to work and the airbags didn’t work either so I ended up hitting my head on the roof of the car when I ran into the truck that suddenly stopped in front of me at speed of about 50mph. I don’t feel good but have no way to get medical attention right now. And was just released from having some head trauma the day before the accident. My car was totaled in the accident so I don’t need additional recall information on it, and no insurance to fix it so now I don’t have any way to get a new car.
I park the nissa Versa and I smell an over heating odor a lightly dense smoke appears over the hood. A thought comes to mind, “I just went to jiffy lube last week. ” suddenly two people are running towards yelling, “fire, get out of the car. ” I couldn’t believe it I was at a loss for words I couldn’t move until they literally opened the door. I started recording it. It’s insane I loved that car, it was payed off and it still looked nice. -it gets worse they tow the car to north shore towing. I report it to my insurance and the appraiser that attempted to see the car was not allowed access because I didn’t sign a release form so I go to the towing place and sign the release form. The appraiser goes for the second time and is refused entrance. Weeks went by so I call the insurance which informs me of the previous two failed entries to north shore towing. I ask the staff male on the phone why he didn’t allow the insurance agent entry to inspect vehicle I had signed the release form. The staff male literally laughs at me on over the phone. You want to know what component? inspection? and today my friend mentions his car has been recalled and light bulb went on and here I am asking for your help. I have videos witnesses also I have proof that of the signed document to release the car to insurance agent.
Vehicle is under 100,000 miles and the cvt transmission is out! I was at the grocery store and when I got back to my car it flat out did not start no issues or warning prior to it not starting. I was stranded at night with no transportation.
There were 3 recalls on my 2008 Nissan Versa. Two were for airbags and 1 was for front coils/springs. I was given a loaner vehicle until parts were available to perform the repairs. Nissan had me drive my vehicle in to get serviced, knowing that it was a hazard to my life. On the way to get my vehicle serviced one could hear a loud pop, the vehicle was no longer operational and was at then engulfed in flames.
Air bag indicator lights flashing in red tire inflator light stays on.
Exhaust is leaking into the cabin of the car from several places. The muffler was replaced in 2010 after the flange broke, not rusted apart. The estimated repair is over $2000. 00 this car has 156k miles on it but has been driven mainly in the southern part of the USA and there is no visible rust on the pipe at all.
My friend had my vehicle. She had just made it home from work. She lives less than 10 minutes from her job. She said when she made it home she went into the apartment to change into a bathing suit and someone knocked on the door saying that there is a little black car smoking. She went outside and flames were coming out of the engine compartment. They all called 911. The firefighters put out the fire and they told her that it is a motor malfunction because it was parked and with no sort of overheating issue.
Was backing out of driveway, heard a loud snap and metal hitting pavement. Got out and a part of the spring coil had snapped in half.
The flanges on the middle exhaust at distal end and the muffler have completely oxidized. Major costs to repair both muffler and middle exhaust.
On January 26, 2015, I was traveling on the highway to take my daughter to school when a driver at least 2 car distances in front of me came to an abrupt stop which caused me to put on my brakes so that I will have enough time to stop at a good enough distance so that I do not hit them. However, after doing so my car kept sliding and I was unable to do anything and the car still hit the driver in front of me. We all left the scene in an ambulance. I do not know the status of the other driver, but I am suffering from severe back pain, some neck pain and I have headaches. This issue needs to be checked before someone ends of dying. I am glad that no one was killed in this accident.

I filed a report on carcomplaints and they said I needed to file one here as well. While driving in direct sunlight, the glare from the dashboard reflects onto the windshield and it obstructs visibility. I've had the windshield replaced (factory glass was chipped and I got a new one), and the glare is still intense. No matter how dusty I let the dashboard get, the reflection is always there in direct sunlight (usually driving east or west). It's annoying, even though I deal with it because I love my car. Is there anything Nissan can do?!?!??!?!?!?!? I really don't want to crash because I can't see through the reflection as well as one should.
I parked my Nissan Versa in a parking lot while I was at work all day. I hadn't had any problems with it. When I got in to leave in the evening and put the car in drive and went forward a few inches, I heard a horrible crunching noise like I hit something. When I backed up to see what was under my car, I just saw a metal horseshoe shaped broken piece on the ground. My mechanic says it is a coil spring that broke. I've seen many complaints about this from Nissan Versa owners. The broken part didn't seem rusty at all. I don't know why this happened. The car hasn't been in an accident. It seemed to happen out of the blue.
