Two problems related to carrier/rack have been reported for the 2013 Nissan Versa. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Hood latch failed, hood popped open while driving on a highway about 45-50 mph, causing damage to both front fenders & hood brackets.
Hood latch failed while driving on freeway at about 70 mph. The hood flew up into windshield blocking all vision and damaging the hood, the roof, the side panels near the hood anchors and cracked the windshield.
