1 Exterior Lighting problem of the 2024 Nissan Versa

Failure Date: 03/22/2025

We’ve had our 2024 Nissan Versa that is an automatic transmission for over a year now and there has been some minor issues like headlights getting brighter as you accelerate, sometimes when it’s colder outside I’ve had the auto lights not work because of the advanced driver assistance systems lights would pop on like they not working anymore. The heat seems to take forever to get warm. Now the latest issue is with out any kind of warning whatsoever a friend and I went to the casino and spent about an hour or two inside came out to leave I had turn the key to acc and left it on like that for I don’t know maybe 10 mins before I was done checking gps and ready to leave ( mind you I’ve had in on acc before several times & for way longer) and it will not start! I am currently waiting on roadside assistance to come jump start the car and hopefully that’s all that’s wrong!.

The brakes fight and lock from time to time. The steering will get a tug like a car is in front of me. The engine has a weird tug before pulling of and switching gears. When I pull off while turning the car feels like it completely losses power!?.

4 Exterior Lighting problem of the 2022 Nissan Versa

Failure Date: 11/23/2023

On two separate occasions while driving at night two weeks apart, the car dash lights went out, power dropped real quickly, steering became hard. Barely got off overpass and road to safety. Turned the car off. Waited approximately 5 minutes and car restarted and was fine for two weeks. On second time had the car towed to fred haas Nissan. They could not reproduce problem and found no codes. Will have to chance driving until happens again. Very dangerous as I would have been hit if not for no traffic. In December 2022 had minor bumper collision. The collision sign had already been on for about three months. Now the sensor is damaged. However, no problems a year later until now. This is a new problem and hope to get it resolved. Very dangerous.

6 Exterior Lighting problem of the 2013 Nissan Versa

Failure Date: 08/08/2021

The tail lights get moisture in them and then do not work properly. There is a service recall on them from the Nissan Versa manufacturere. Since there is a service recall ont his issue, why is this agency not requiring a recall. Obviously there is a manufacturing safety defect present here. 7 Exterior Lighting problem of the 2017 Nissan Versa

Failure Date: 08/01/2020

If you have the ac full blast and are idling at a red light the car will stall out as if it weren't getting fuel because it won't start right back up. In order for me to start it I had to press and depress the acceleration pedal while attempting to turn it over. If turning over exceeds the batteries voltage it will kill the battery resulting in worse problems. If you're lucky it will turn over after a long time turning it over while pushing gas pedal but if you don't unplug and plug in the fuel pump it might not work. If you idle for long periods of time you'll stall out for sure once the car starts sputtering hitting the gas pedal will only increase the speed of the stall because letting go seems to drain the systems fuel and it seems you'll have to get the fuel running thru system again. This car also has a lot more wrong with for starters the trunk is not sealed by welding it honestly looks like brown paint which doesn't completely cover the cracks between the frame and trunk bottom and sometimes I get light headed when idling before it started to stall out. This particular vehicle was made in mexico and seems to be cheaply made because the trim doesn't even display the Versa s just Versa aside from that immediately after purchasing it the passenger door lock no longer works neither does the trunk. You can hear the wind thru the doors while driving and the floor seems poorly insulated from heat. The blower motor isn't blowing the ac out as hard as it was. When accelerating pops are heard coming from the bottom of the car which I don't know the source but I do know it can't be good. This vehicle is my mother's but I drive it a lot and this is only my half of the experience. I honestly think she got scammed because this 2017 car doesn't have electric seats, door locks or windows and doesnt even have a key fob or alarm.

9 Exterior Lighting problem of the 2012 Nissan Versa

Failure Date: 12/21/2017

Moisture gets into the sealed taillight assemblies causing a short which then causes the computer to shift the transmission since it thinks you have applied the brakes. This will obviously cause the taillights to fail and may cause transmission issues resulting in accidents.

10 Exterior Lighting problem of the 2015 Nissan Versa

Failure Date: 02/13/2017

I have replaced the head lights 5 times in the last 18 months . The last set only lasted 30 days . I sent a set back to sylvania and they told me they couldn't find a defect in the lights. The low beams will go out and the high beam will be fine .

11 Exterior Lighting problem of the 2016 Nissan Versa

Failure Date: 07/07/2016

I rented a Nissan Versa and was driving at dusk. I didn't realize that I had not turned on the driving lights until it was quite dark. The problem is that when the lights are off, the interior lights look like you would expect with the lights on. . . I. E. , the interior is fully lit up. The driving instruments are lit up. Everything looks normal for nighttime driving. . . . Except that when I pulled over, I see that the exterior has no lights on whatsoever. To be clear, the lights were working fine. If you turn them on, they come on. But it's very dangerous that the car somehow always has the interior lighted, or perhaps it happens with a light sensor, leading you to not realize you have not turned on the exterior lights.

13 Exterior Lighting problem of the 2012 Nissan Versa

Failure Date: 07/04/2015

I closed the passenger side door and the air bag from the door exploded. Just that easily.

14 Exterior Lighting problem of the 2012 Nissan Versa

Failure Date: 10/04/2014

This vehicle had an electrical problem. The entire electrical system would randomly shut down, killing all gauges, lighting, power steering and etc. Multiple visits to the dealership brought "unable to duplicate" responses and no attempt to repair. Nissan dealership recommended to drive the vehicle until the stated problem could be displayed at the dealership (note that a car cannot drive without a working electrical system). When vehicles electrical system shut down the final time a fire was ignited under the hood. The car was soon engulfed in flames. It is a total loss. . Read more...

15 Exterior Lighting problem of the 2012 Nissan Versa

Failure Date: 01/20/2014

Lights flicker on and off when driving. Will no longer come on. Only the use of high beams is possible.

16 Exterior Lighting problem of the 2012 Nissan Versa

Failure Date: 07/18/2013

I put my car into reverse and was unable to depress the brake pedal and had to put the car in park to get it to stop while nearly hitting another vehicle. The low lights also have to avilable settings but one doesnt work so it stays the same no matter which one you put it on. Also why would I have an oil leak at 35,000 miles. My whole transmission apparently needed to be changed due to a broken or missing cap.

17 Exterior Lighting problem of the 2009 Nissan Versa

Failure Date: 03/10/2010

The high-beam switch lever is also the switch to turn the head lights off or on. Many times I have pushed or pulled the lever to turn bright lights on or to dim them. On many occasions I have turned off the lights at night because the lever rotated to the off position. This happen regularly, especially when dimming quickly because of oncoming traffic.
