I was driving highway 101 camarillo to home. Its uphill I tried to press the gas but my speed gauge stock on 50mph no matter I tried. Then suddenly the abs light and the car with zigzag appeared on my dash board. I bought my car used. . . The car have 38k+ mileage. I've researched online if the Nissan Versa having problem going uphill. I went to my mechanic they said mybe there a transmission problem go to the Nissan dealership because my mileage is under 60k mybe im still on manufacture warranty. . . But I didn't bought the car on Nissan dealer. I bought it on drivetime.
The fuel doesn't pump correctly as it should. The fuse burnt out. The automatic braking randomly activates for no apparent reason while driving. It also doesn't activate at all. The front end of the car lifts upward like a wheelie from a stop light. There was smoking and burning smell from under the hood.
I have owned this car since I bought it new in sept. 2006. Never have had any problems and have kept it serviced, on oct 02, 2020 I went to store and back home about 8 miles total, parked in yard, approx. 10 minutes later alarm went off and key fob would not dissarm it so I opened the hood and the whole firewall was on fire, and flames bellowing from underneath, I immediately ran and got a fire extingusher andd completely used the large cannister to put fire out. The car is a total loss and very scarey and upsetting that this could happen from a parked car.
Engineering flaw on Nissan's behalf. Water collects into the vehicles cabin and undercarriage and affected the electrical harness so much that it affected the braking system and abs light to come on. I lost braking power and could of had a serious accident. My whole electrical harness is non existent at this point. The car is not driveable at this point. Their have been numerous complaints about this and it's unsafe to drive. Nissan needs a lifetime recall on this or needs to refund our money back. I've contacted Nissan consumer affairs in hopes to get some reconciliation, but that remains to be seen.
After receiving many calls and letters for air bags recalls, I set an appointment with the agent josh for Thursday July 16, 2020 at performance Nissan at 1345 south federal highway, pompano FL 33062, at 7:30 am. When talking with josh, he told me that there are two recalls in my Nissan. I asked him to do both recalls at the same time. He said both recalls could take one hour. We set the appointment and he gave me the phone to talk to performance Nissan for confirmation. On Thursday July 16, 2020, I went to the appointment. It took me ,more than three hours at the place. However, at the end they told me they did one recall, and they ordered the parts for the other recall, which part they will have in three days. When they gave the car, I felt that it did not sound as it used to before the recall. The ac did not work perfectly, but I thought that was because they did not finish with the air bag recall. On Friday July 17, 2020, my wife drove the car to work as it is her car. But when she came back, she told me that the car had problems and she did not want to drive it again. I said to her that the problem is because they did not complete the recall. On Wednesday July 22, 2020, my wife told me to drop her at work. I took the car, and when I started it I felt the car was making noise and shaking. For I did not drive it , and I saw at that time that my wife was in danger while driving the car. After I dropped her at work, I called perfprmance Nissance to report that they damaged my car while performing the air bags recall. They called me to drive the car to them for diagnostic. I told them that they must send someone to tow the car. They instead gave me a phone number to call for pick up the car. They picked up the car by 3;00 pm. When driving on highway at about 60 mph car feels very out of control like if its on roller skates, feels like car is going to sway this way or that way. Very unsafe feeling. Very scary.
The pieces on the door handle of 2007, seem to pop out over time. Drive side key entry and the passenger side door. I know of three Nissan Versa's have caught fire and all from the cavalier converter. . . The heater core has some issues. This car had an airbag recall and I don't believe my airbags were replaced. I was told that both side's airbags were done. The dealership told me it would take three weeks to a month to repair. When I told them that I would have to be compensated for my car downtime because I do uber. It was done in two days. The clock spring went out in my car. I do not have a lot of pictures, but I can go in my file and fine them. Thanks for any help on these issues. The airbags were done at the end of 2017 and I didn't know I could do what I'm doing today. I was told I would have to paid to get my airbags checked out. Over the past two years, I've had so many issues with my car. I've spent over 2. 000. 00 or more. I've learned so much about my car from google and youtube. Thank you for any help in this matter.
I was completely stopped about to pull out of a parking lot and as I turned onto a side road and got up to about 5-10 mph my car jerked twice and completely stopped and stalled and it wouldn't rev up or do anything. The lights and everything was on but the car wouldn't move. I had to completely turn the car off in the middle of the road and back on before it would go again.
My Nissan Versa is having an electrical problem that fuses have to be changed monthly when the electrical issue is starting my car dies even if driving and engine feels heated some parts of engine have damages like if this is melting due engine overheated and there is a leak and I just can't find any mechanic that can find the leak my car also has a sweakoing noise when driving a breaking noise when moving steering wheel and my suspensions plastic protectors have ripped in slices even if I always added lubricant to it my car due to this issues has a cracked front windshield for passenger and driver fenders moving.
Vehicle stalls which can cause an accident, my grandmother david ojo died from stalled vehicle who was driving.
When put in park and key out of ignition the car will not shut off. The car continues to run for hours. It will eventually run out of gas and hopefully shut off.
The vehicle stopped suddenly in the middle of the street while being driven. The vehicle sometimes stalls when attempting to drive.
My car jerks when driving and has a hard time moving forward after stopping.
The car was running on the highway and when it stops in the light it shuts down from there on, it did not want to light up anymore. The cranksensor was put on the computer, the pc modulated the box of realease the foot of the accelerator, now the car is on but when it accelerates it turns off it is not known what it can have now.
The Nissan Versa is at 96000 miles. The first 2 times it happens was on the street, turning from parking lots to street. The car experienced a sudden accelerate, for a short moment (about 2 seconds). Those 2 times was 1 hour apart. The next times the incident happens was on the highway. From the stop light to entering the freeway, which needs acceleration. The car experienced a rapid shake, sudden accelerates. The accelerations happens very closely to each other, only seconds apart, and more noticeble. The tachometer shakes around 2 to 3. The car was driven off the freeway and back to the parking structure. When transfering, the car still experienced the sudden shakes and acceleration. It hasn't been operated since then due to safy concerns.
The abs light and the traction control light continuously illuminate but go on and off during car rides. The car is also making a strange rattling noise under the hood because the idler pulley system is failing. This nose persists while the car is stationary, in motion, and turning on any road condition. The car also is having a jerking motion when trying to accelerate and is slow to pick up speed. The car is hesitating when picking up speed.
I was driving just about to get onto the highway but as I was turning onto the on ramp I suddenly couldn't turn the wheel and crashed into the guard rail and my power steering light was on. My car underwent extensive damage on the outside and the alignment is now very bad. It had to sit overnight and when we got back to it the light was off. This is a very dangerous issue. (miles per hour below is an est. ) this just occurred and in the process with insurance.
Power steering fails in higher than 85 degree temperatures as well as below 25 degrees. Sometimes the warning light for it comes on when it fails and other times it does not. This problem comes and goes, not limited to just moving. I can shift into gear and have immediate difficulty or be driving along at any speed then suddenly the power steering is gone. I was advised by the ada, ok dealership that the 2015 Nissan Versa does not use power steering fluid and that the problem is the power steering computer.
The last couple of months, I've noticed my car has been making a high whining noice-when I accelerate, the car also revs up to 4000rpms , driving on the highway at 65mph. Yesterday, 01/19/2018- my car no longer moved forward- as if stuck in neutral. I've also noticed that my back turn signal on the driver's side is out, thus affecting the front driver's turn signal. The front turn signal "clicks" qucikly. Everytime I turn on the left turn signal, my car whines and doesn't accelerate properly.
"takata recall" my dealership said that there's a restriction so that they can't fix it and they can't even get the parts in for my coil springs and my car is completely immobile right now.
Was driving down the street and I heard a loud bang then my car veered off to the right. Luckily I wasn't on a busy road and was able to pull it all the way over. The front of my car basically collapsed onto the passenger corner. It was covering my tire and I couldn't move the car. Apparently the strut broke and had to get an alignment. Also, the engine light won't turn off after I put gas in. The gas cap will not screw on right. My door handles keep popping off. My seatbelt keeps getting stuck. And my tire light won't turn off when nothing is wrong with it.
While driving on the freeway, my car all of a sudden stalled to the point where I could not steer, press on the gas or the brake. I had to turn my car completely off and back on in the middle of the freeway in order for the car to work again. This happened three times in a span of a mile before I was finally able to get over to the shoulder of the freeway. I felt unsafe in my vehicle due to the fact that I was on the freeway in traffic and could not move my own car.
Takata recall . I was in a car acciendt on June 8, 2017 and my air bags did not work while I was in motion as I was being hit on the highway by another car and under my credit karma profile , its shows my car has five recall notices . How can this matter be resolved. I also have insurance papers to prove I filed a insuarce claim.
Takata inflators, flashing red light, looks like passenger airbag problem. When I start vehicle light comes on, is not solid, bleeps all the time.
Hi. I notice the engine light has been coming on a lot. When I'm at a complete stop, my car would jump like it wants to cut off (which thank goodness hasn't happened) and I can't barely pick up speed when it does that. Its been doing this for a year now and I have no idea what the problem is. I'm wondering if anybody else is having this problem. I have a 2015 Nissan Versa and its only 3 years. I shouldn't be having problems with a 3 year old car which I do keep maintenance on.
Takata inlfators. For ;now nothing happen but just waiting for the letter to repair the issue. I received a letter few months back that theer is a recall and that another letter will come to schedule and appointment at a dealership.
Our car was traveling in a very slow speed on an on-ramp of interchange from freeway 110 north bound to 105 west bound in los angeles county. The traffic flow was in a very slow moving fashion. Since it was an uphill on ramp, I had to step on the gas pedal slightly to keep the car moving at a slow but steady speed. As the traffic got slower, I gently stepped on the brake to slow down the car. While I was holding down the brake pedal, suddenly I heard a "clunk" noise and felt a vibration. At this point, the car started moving on its own without a sign of slowing down. I immediately tried to step on brake with full force but felt the brake having no pressure at all. As the car continued to move forward with uncontrolled speed, the only thing I could do at that moment was to veer the car towards the right edge to avoid direct impact with the front car. By reading the owner's manual, I believed the anti-lock braking system function was being erroneously activated at the time of the incident since the dry and non-slippery road condition did not warrant such activation. And what made things even worse was, for whatever the reason, the car was moving on its own in an uncontrolled speed while the break pedal was completely losing the pressure due to the abs activation. This vehicle was being recalled and serviced for sudden acceleration safety concern due to the lower panel trim design in August. The liability insurance claim was filed for the accident. The mileage was 8740 at the time of accident. Photos of the accident scene are attached and along with other documents.
When driving the car at speeds 40mph and above, the car does not stay in the lane. This car is continuously pulling to the left out of the lane towards cars in the middle lane, with no control to correct, then pushed to the right out of lane, back and forth my whole ride with no subsiding. The issue at times escalates by getting out of control while driving straight on any road, going back and forth left to right very fast and short by itself with the steering wheel centered. For this issue I'm needing to wait for the correction and slow down the car. The front tires are continuously getting thrown out of alignment as soon as I drive it following servicing. I have had 4 service appointments for alignments and balancing within a 2 week time frame, replaced tires, and brought to Nissan directly for a diagnosis with no change to this safety issue. I do not believe the alignment is the root cause of this safety problem. In addition, when a car or any vehicle drives by my car on any road, more severe on the highway, my car is pushed across my lane and there is no windy conditions. This does occur on the highway and local streets. It is also apparently visible to other drivers as I see cars from behind me move to the middle lane, speed up and pass me in the far left of their lane, then cut me off. I do not believe again that this is a wheel issue, and I do not know what is the root cause of this is however what I do know is that it is not safe for myself or others on the road. I have an opened complaint with Nissan consumer affairs and so far their response has been, go back to Nissan for another alignment, to which I have had several already with no change to the root problem.
The contact owns a 2008 Nissan Versa. While driving approximately 70 mph, the contact switched from the right lane to the left lane. The vehicle ran off the road, into a ditch, crashed into the woods, and rolled over. The passenger side of the vehicle faced downward and the driver side faced upward. The air bags had not deployed. A police report was not filed. There were minor injuries that required medical attention. The vehicle was towed to a mechanic. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 83,000.
Tl-the contact owns a 2012 Nissan Versa. The contact stated that the vehicle accelerated independently, with the check engine warning light illuminated. In addition to the contact stated that whenever the vehicle is put in reversed the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was not able to restart until after two hours later. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 95,000.
I pulled up to a pump at a gas station, got out and went in the store to get a drink. Came back out and my car had locked up. The steering and brakes were both locked. Thank god I wasn't in motion when this happened. The car would not accelerate. I cut the car off and let it sit there before trying to start it again. It cranks but never turns over. There is a battery light, brake light, ps light and oil light on the dash. I researched it and everything indicated a bad alternator. I bought a Nissan alternator and put it on. Still never turned over. The fuel pump runs and I put some starting fluid into the throttle body and it started but died after a five seconds. Every Nissan dealership tells me they don't know what the problem is. Its my only car, I'm flat broke and I am walking 2 hours to work every day so I don't lose my job. I need to know what's wrong.
My wife was making right hand turn, entering a highway, she lost total control of the steering. The vehicle veered to the left then veered to the right. She was able to stop the vehicle without incident and parked on the shoulder. Had car towed to garage, mechanic inspected suspension and steering, and was unable to find a problem. H stated he went on line and discovered some steering issues. However, he stated, because it has an electronic power steering system, resetting the system by turning off the engine and restarting the vehicle should solve the immediate problem (as it was stated on the forum). This is ridiculous when you are going 60 mph and going back and forth across the road. I went to the local Nissan dealership and he stated he knew nothing about this issue.
Coming to a red light failed to brake and rear ended another vehicle. You think you are going to brake, but since the accelerator pedal is to close to the right side panel of the car , wont let your foot to move it easy and your foot gets stuck to the open cut area of the trim that the Nissan experts attempted to fix the problem under recall, and there were no brake lights on the car and was witnessed.
Stopped on our way home from a small trip and refueled the Versa. Noticed a small drip coming from the gas tank. Assumed it was coming from an overflow tube inside the fuel filler tube. The next day we took the Versa to our mechanic and told him about it. He investigated and found the fuel leak coming from the fuel pump attached to the top of the fuel tank. The leak as he described it coming from under the plug in where the wiring harness connects to provide power to the pump. Under the plug in was a crack . There was also a hole that appeared in color of a burnt mark to the rear inside corner of the plug in wall exposing a metal stem goes to the prong that connects to the wiring harness. This area is above fuel tank surface or outside the top of the tank. Had this shorted out or created a spark, a possible fire and/or explosion could have occurred and injury and/or death could have occurred to occupants inside the vehicle. When pump was replaced, I took pictures that I hope you can receive. The bottom side where the float arm attached to the side sliding metal parts for measuring fuel level also appeared to have the blackened burnt color on the wall area of the metal parts. I have the defected pump in case you would like to check it out. I also have notified the Nissan service center and showed them the pump defect. I'm wanting to inform you of this because there are other Versa owners out there that could be affected by this. We were lucky.
The engine light is on. There is hesitation between 20-30 mph. I had a diagnostic test performed and was told: system: transmission, part number: 31036-3aa6b, dtc: p0740, detailed info: torque converter.
4 recalls ony vehicle. I was rear-ended on the freeway when I was at a full stop because of traffic and a driver behind impacted me at her full freeway speed because she didn't notice the traffic had come to a full stop. I was whiplashed several times, hit my forehead on the steering wheel very hard a couple of times but the airbags did not deploy. There is a lawyer on the accident case but no one at Nissan believed me when the airbags failed to delpoy- I was told the accident may not have been a strong enough impact but again the driver rear ended me at freeway speed (65mph min. ) and I and the rest of traffic come to a complete for about 2 minutes. The only other thing I noticed and I notified Nissan about was the passenger seat was not registering that a passenger was in the seat; the display showed that the passenger was not wearing a seat belt but that was not the case.
I purchased a 2012 Nissan Versa from henderson Nissan on 7/6/14. Here is everything I've been through: 7/24/14- entire transmission replaced after my car lost complete power in the middle of an intersection on the las vegas strip. (had 58,658 miles) 5/28/15- ip cover recall. 11/16/15- transmission replaced again! along with a factory recall. (had 73,918 miles) 7/22/16- ecm software was updated. (had 83,354 miles) 7/26/16- locking system now out. (had 83,400 miles) the car had 39k miles when I purchased it. It now has 86k miles and the transmission is going out again! as soon as my warranty ends, I'm screwed! each time the transmission has gone out, I've lost power on the car. It just dies no matter how slow you are going. The first time I was in motion. The second time I was stationary thankfully! I reported this to Nissan's affairs dept. And got no where!.
I had an accident on 4/8 in the parking lot of my job and a truck slammed into my passenger side and no air bag deployed. She had accelerated due to a manual transmission in her truck. The estimates for body work was 28. 92, 500. 00 and 5, 658. 32 more than half totaled I have problems with the car, the brakes, idiot light, steering and acceleration and jumps as you back out.
I was driving up the street and when I pushed down on the brake it started to shake I only had the car for a day at the time, then within the next week the light around the radio dim in and out all the time and when braking sometime the brake will release on its own and the car will jump forward. When I took it in to Nissan they said they could not duplicate what I stated was happening and that there was nothing wrong with it but till this day it is still happening and I spoke with the manager who also says there is nothing wrong with it.
I have a 2007 Nissan sentra. Shortly after buying it the tire pressure sensor light came on. I took it to pepp boys and spent money replacing the sensor on the wheel. The light has never gone off. All four window seals have come loose. The ac has stopped working. The fan will not work for a couple of days and then all of the sudden I will turn on on the car and it work one moment.
We were practically stopped, when we were rear ended by another vehicle. We were pushed into the vehicle in front of us. My hood was smashed & radiator was moved along with multiple others damage to the front of my vehicle. My bumper was pushed in. After the accident I went to my nearest Nissan dealership to ask about the airbags not deploying. I was told that u had to be going a certain amount of speed for the airbags to deploy. I explained to them that the car behind us was speeding and pushed us into the vehicle in front of us. My concern is if I wouldn't have had my seat belt on I would've been thrown through the windshield. Because with the impact hitting from behind I was lifted up from my seat. I still say there was a default with my airbags. Please help me with solving this issue. Thank you. .
We had just gone throw the sunpass lane on I-275 n. My wife was driving and she started to push on the gas pedal and the engine die (ten feet out of the toll booth). She tried 3 times to start the car motor and each time it started and then stopped. I jumped out of the car to push the car across 4 lanes of traffic (lucky it was 11:00pm) and there was not a lot of traffic. We had to have the car towed to our garage. They (hummel tire & auto, reg. #: mv-66432) was told my Nissan (crown) that they knew about this problem and had a new improved a/c compressor (926001u60a,081468/251g. (the dash broad light "ps") we was very lucky that we did not get hit the rear, because we could not move. I had my wife, mother(83), and myself (58). Nissan should have a recall on this part, before anyone dies. The dash broad light "ps" electric power steering systems.
