general problems of the 2014 Nissan Versa Note

Cvt transmission slip and judder. Upon full stop, only drives after turning ignition off and on again. Getting stuck at traffic light stop and holding up the traffic for 30 seconds every stop is a safety concern for myself and others. P0868 - fluid press low p0965 - pc solenoid b p17f0 - cvt judder (t/m inspection) vehicle has been inspected and diagnosed by Nissan dealership. There has been no warning lamps to warn of the issue, other than check engine light.

Its the transmission for nissian cvt I was unable to change my gear in time when I hit the highway.

My vehicle has approximately 62,000 miles and is within the extended warranty range. • my wife's vehicle has exceeded 100,000 miles but experienced failure well within the original ownership period. Given the early failure, recurring defects, and known issues associated with cvt transmissions in these vehicles, we respectfully request a full resolution from Nissan north America. I wrote an email and sent it to a Nissan representative. I later called twice confirm that representative received it and left messages. Know when, I call no one answers the phone. Heat shields for exhaust system particularly protecting the gas tank from high heat tear easily at bolts making a rattling sound as a first symptom. This causes cracks in the heat shield which is flimsy, thin material. It poses a risk to drivers in that the gas tank could explode due to lack of protection or from poor protection from heat of exhaust. The sheer number of Nissan versa and versa plus heat shields failing is alarming.

Cvt transmission would not shift gears. Cvt is an automatic transmission, that's supposed to shift automatically. The car would be stuck in low gear causing problems while driving. I took car to Nissan dealer and purchased new cvt transmission.

Transmission failed at 65,000 miles.

There's been a recall on Nissan Versa Note transmissions and I was just recently informed that it included my transmission and Nissan doesn't want to replace it.

Regarding my 2014 Nissan Versa Note, with "continuous variable (cone shaped) transmission": I first noticed the transmission issue beginning October of 2020. When accelerating quickly, it feels like the transmission freezes, so I back off the accelerator and it usually kicks back into gear. When my husband first experienced it, he told me to shift to neutral and back to drive which seems to work; however being on a public thoroughfare and manually shifting gears to keep moving forward seems like a major safety issue. I have read several posts regarding this same issue. My question why hasn't this american/japanese automobile conglomerate addressed this safety issue with a transmission recall?.

In Nov. 2019 car was putting took it to the dealership transmission fluid was low and iy had a leak in the line they put fluids in it it was ok for a minute then on Nov 13 had trans cooler line put in it was running ok until now still putting you reimburse my my but I need a transmission are you doing recalls on my transmission.

Around 65,000 miles I started having an issue with the ctv / automatic transmission. The car sometimes jerks/shakes as I accelerate and takes longer than it used to to speed up. This has put me in immediate danger several times - for example, switching lanes on the highway, I can no longer be certain that I will switch lanes in time for the other cars not to hit me. I took this car to a mechanic who said it may be my transmission fluid - I got the fluid changed in an official Nissan shop in norwell, MA. The issue was not resolved - and when I called the Nissan shop again, they said if the engine light is not on, there is no problem. The issue has not resolved and they do not want to help.

This car has only 34,000 miles on it and the air bag warning light has come and is flashing constantly . . . Given the mileage of the car I was shocked and amazed that I would be having a problem. Other problem I've had is that it has staled out a couple of times for not reason at all when pulling out onto the road.

Transmission problem tugging and misfiring until car failed to accelerate ,instantly coming to a complete stop in the middle of a 75 mile an hour freeway risking my life and those of others on the hwy. "takata recall", due to unawareness of future issues since all "VIN" numbers have not been input into the recall system that may go pass the deadline plus brake issues(scrubbing as I drive/regular braking,"I don't ride the brake" ever but I drive daily whether on dry/clear road to wet roads less than 1 month post purchase having only 28,300 miles on it at purchase & still, continues today, after having it checked) for my 2014 Nissan versa that I've purchased less than 6 months ago, today, I'm severely concerned due to info mentioned on. . The cvt transmission is failing loss of power while driving can't drive car over 55 mph transmission oil leaks slipping and jerking the rpm of the engine can fluctuate a lot while driving, especially when accelerating.

First time on the freeway while running, second time I was parked, but when I try to back up it shot down third time was running. Nissan won't do anything for me they practically said your on your on, and I'm terrified to drive that car, it's just a tragedy waiting to happen and I'm not going to be the victim.

I bought my car brand new in January of 2014. I have been driving it since. The whole muffler system from the catalytic converter on back needs replaced. That includes the resonator and the muffler and the pipes. Why? it lasted only 3 1/2 years with 51,000 miles on it? that is ridiculous. I paid cash for the car and have no extended warranty. What kind of garbage parts are they using. I live in pennsylvania and I know we get road salt problems but not in 3 1/2 years. How thin is the metal they used? there is not even an aftermarket part to replace these parts. What a rip off.

Fuel or exhaust smell in the cabin of the car. Unknown of origin after multiple tests at dealership. Occurs when vehicle is idling and in motion.

I was driving in stop and go traffic and as I stopped at a red light in the left turn lane, the engine cut off completely and would not start. I had to ask a group of people to help push my car to the side of the road during rush hour traffic. I waited about 30 minutes and the car was able to start again. I was nervous to drive on the expressway to get home as this could pose as a serious threat to safety.

I live in arizona. I had come to a stop at a red light in some heavy traffic. I was getting ready to make a right turn. At the point of making the right turn the car died. I could not complete the turn. Basically I started to head into other cars that were making a left turn which was perpendicular to my car. I was able to avoid hitting any cars and at the same time was lucky not to be hit by any cars. The car ended up in that left turn lane. When the car stopped I turned the key to the off position and then put the car in park and then waited a minute or two and started the car back up again. No check engine light stayed on after restarting the car and I was able to make it home which was a 1/2 mile away. It was about 105 degrees outside. This seems to be an issue for this type vehicle when it is hot outside. I think one of the service bulletins mentions exactly what I went through. This needs to be fixed because one or more people will get hurt or die. I never have had any issue really of any type with this vehicle before. All the maintenance work that is needed has been done on time. The car has been maintained properly. I did notice probably 30 minutes before driving that the car was having problems accelerating. I kept thinking I didn't have the car in the correct gear but I did. The car during that time seemed sluggish.

2014 Versa Note sv bought new, found rust on the 3rd day of purchase in 12+ areas underneath including sub-frame and various components. Complained and requested replacement with a rust free car. Nissan won't replace or refund despite extensive correspondence, emails, phone calls, visits to the dealer, furnishing date stamped pictures of rust areas. Nissan is dragging its feet with feeble excuses - ' no excessive rust found' "rust is not affecting safety of the car' 'rust not affecting performance of the car' - which is why they will not replace it. Upon telling them that the due to rust, the resale value of car is severely diminished to junk car value - they have nothing to say. Filed complaints with authorities including the attorney general but they are slow to process so nothing has come of it so far and Nissan won't stand behind its products. Bbb autoline has sided with Nissan and they just pissed on the lemon law doing that - despite providing scores of date stamped photographs of the rust areas. Nissan is not giving me a charity car, nor it is a used car that they have sold me. I have paid full price with high interest for 6 years that I am going to be paying and I deserve a rust free car without defects but Nissan does not seem to agree to that. People, please think a thousand times before buying a Nissan. A company that is trying to get away using every lame excuse. I am afraid that Nissan may have sold a large number of cars to buyers, with rust simply because the american buyer trusts manufacturers for their quality and integrity - but not in case of Nissan. If any law students/retired lawyers/lawyers are willing to help - for an affordable fee - as I can not afford a lot at this time - please help me and may god bless you for your kindness.
